The Redbird's story.

Blake shock his head, "No. I gave it to you, and Momi told you to eat it." lake said walking to wards the end of the hall were they kept his trunk.

"because she thought I was giving it to you from my plate", she said.

He opened the trunk and peered inside. "So? Why won't you eat it?" The small boy could almost fit in side of his own trunk.

"Because it's your food", she said andd watched him open the trunk.

"And I gave it to you." Blake said. He rdug to the ottom of his trunk

"Yeah I know, but I feel bad about eating it", she said.

Blake finally pulled out a semi-clean shirt.

He et the shirt down on the floormaking it dirter, and took the eard. he ripped it in half and ate part of it giveing the rest ack to sally.

Sally sighed. She didn't say anything else and took back the half piece of bread.

Blkae picked up the shirt and knocked some of the dust out of it. "Tomorrow morning I'll go pick some Heather So one of you can sweep."

Sally nodded and turned to leave the room. "ok", she said.

((Good for cleaning))

Blkae also nodded and walked into his pranets room to change.

Sally went back downstairs and and ate the piece of bread.

Cora came back in a little bit with a bucket of water. She walked into the kitchen and handed it to her mother.

"Here you are, mama," she said.

Elliot opened the door and took one of the buckets from Tyler, walking inside and pouring it in the tub. She turned back to him and took the other.

"Thank you so much, Tyler," she said, grinning broadly at him.

Tyler nodded. He hand ed her his and waited for her to come back with it empty.

Blake came back down a moment later.

Elliot ran back inside and into the room with the tub and emptied the bucket. She ran back to Tyler and handed it to him.

Cora looked over at Blake when he walked in. She said nothing to him.

"Cora do you mind getting another bucket of water so your brother can wash his face?" Mama asked.

Tyler took his bucket and with a nodded started toward the well again.

"Thank you, Tyler!" Elliot called after him, waving at him.

Cora glared at Blake slightly but nodded at her mother.

"Yes, mama," she said. She took the bucket and walked outside again, heading towards the well. She saw Tyler and stopped, waiting for him.

"Good evening Cora!" Tyler called as he started to run towards Cora.

Elliot closed the door after Tyler was gone and walked into the other room with the tub. She closed the door behind her and quickly undressed.

Cora waved back at Tyler. "Hello, Tyler," she said.

When tyler cagut up he was slightly out of breath, but he walked right next to cora.

Cora walked next to Tyler. She remembered what had happened earlier and was silent for a moment before speaking.

"I'm sorry for earlier," She said, still looking forward.

Elliot got into the tub, sighing. She leaned her head back, closing her eyes.

Tyler nodded. "You need to start acting older then him. I think he fights with you to get your attion."

"I /do/ act older than him," Cora protested. "And he doesn't want my attention. He hates me," she said, still looking forward

"By fighting with him you acting no older then him. And you only think that has he ever said he hated you?" Tyler said He knew Blake never said that.

Cora was silent.

"He hasn't, but he makes it obvious that he does," she said as they approached the well.
