"Thank you." Rose said. She brushed a hand over Cora's hair and used enough power to end her nightmare before turning to Blake. She took a small cell phone out of her pocket and offered it to him, "I need to know she is okay so please call me. If things become too much for her let me know and I'll be here no matter what is happening to calm her down." she backed off a foot or two and then remebered something, "Just don't let her see too much of it, it use to belong to him and triggering memories would cause things more worse than they are now."

Lenora's eyes widened, but she said nothing, only slowly wrapping her arms around him as well. "I'm sorry, Dust," She said quietly. She couldn't imagine how bad he must feel. She couldn't believe Sable had done anything like that though, not on purpose at least.
~!!~
Raven jumped, then shook her head quickly. "No," She said quietly. She closed her eyes, and turned out of the room then. She walked back into her old room, and locked herself in the closet, like she often did when she was younger and still alive.
~!!~
Cora slowly relaxed, her face looking less pained now that her nightmare was gone.

Blake took the phone. "Okay." He said simply, moving Cora so he could put the phone in his pocket. Then he held her close again. "You be careful too." He said.

~!!~
Dust cried into her shoulder. "She did it to herself." He whispered. "For Sable." He added.

~!!~
Kasper followed her. "Hey! Hey! Get out of my closet!" He said.

"I'll be fine, unlike Carlisle I am not so breakable." Rose told him, "I just hope I don't give in to him like I sometimes want to..." she thought for a moment, "I just want to know why Carlisle's angel didn't know he was in trouble... this could have been avoided..."

Raven ignored him. "It was my closet first!" She shouted back. The doors locked from the inside, strangely.
~!!~
Lenora shook her head. "She loved him," She said quietly, as if that could explain what had happened. And in a way, it did, at least to her.
~!!~
Andrea sat on the front porch for a few moments, her head in her hands. She finally stood up, and took a deep breathe. she disappeared, and reappeared in the throne room in the underworld, her face a mask of determination.
~!!~
Cora slowly opened her eyes, blinking groggily. She didn't move as the events came rushing back to her. she slowly closed her eyes again, though she was still awake.

"Maybe there wasn't time for her to be warned." Blake said softly. Blake looked back down at Cora. "Cora? You awake?" He asked.

~!!~
The goddess smiled. "What is it that you want?" She asked.

~!!~
"But I loved her, she loved me too, and Dawn, so why did she only think about Sable?" He asked.

~!!~
Kasper sighed. "It's mine now!" He said.

"Perhaps..." Rose said, "I have to arrange a few things for him, I don't know if she'll want to help but if not I have it covered." she quickly used her gift once more incase Cora remembered it all. "I should go now, I have lots to do and little time." but the angel seemed semi reluctant to leave.

"I guess...it's different when you're in love, instead of just loving someone," Lenora said quietly. "I mean, it's no excuse, still, but I can almost...understand. Put in her position, I would have done anything."
~!!~
Raven ignored him. "I don't care," She cried, and her voice cracked, showing she was crying. "I don't know what to do anymore! My brother killed Jade, he's a fallen, he doesn't remember me, and I have nothing left to do!" She shouted, knowing he wouldn't know what she was talking about. SHe didn't care.
~!!~
Andrea looked at the goddess, her gaze level. "My son is dead. I want you to make him human again, in exchange for me." She took a deep breathe. "And if you refuse to do that, I don't care. I still want to stay here. I won't go back. I let him become like this."
~!!~
Cora didn't move; she didn't want him to know she was awake. She kept her eyes closed, focusing on keeping her breathing low and even . She felt strangely calm, considering the cirumstances, and knew it must have been Rose.

Dust looked at her. "But you don't have any siblings to think about." He said softly.

~!!~
Kasper suddenly had the door open. "So you are going to mope?" He asked, looking at her, holding a lock pick in his hand.

~!!~
The goddess frowned. "I can't.He is an angel. I have no control over them." She laughed.

~!!~
Blake frowned. "Good luck with that." He said. "Remember, be careful." He said as he stood up, and carried his sister inside.

Lenora said nothing, knowing he was right. "I know. I'm sorry, Dust," she said quietly. "I really am. I wish I could say something to make you feel better, but....I can't."
~!!~
Raven looked up at the sudden light from where she sat int he corner of the closet. She frowned. "Call it what you will, I am not coming out of this closet," she said. "I have nothing to come out for." That wasn't entirely true, and she knew it. There was Aden, but she wondered if he'd even mind if she was gone.
~!!~
Andrea just nodded stiffly. "I don't want to be an angel anymore," she said simply, looking at her.
~!!~
Cora almost did fall asleep again as her brother carried her inside, but didn't. She finally opened her eyes, and looked up at him. "Blake?" She mumbled.

Rose watched Blake go inside and felt her pull on Cora's emotions beginning to slip and then vanish all together. She then disappeared to begin plans for a funeral.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Annabell had wondered into the throne room and frowned as she saw here mother, "Mom?" she asked her voice full of worry. She didn't know her brother was dead so her next words were worry for him, "Are Carlisle and Cora okay?" she asked
~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Damon was in the dark corner of the room, watching his mother beg to be a fallen.

Blake smiled sadly at her as he laid her down on the sofa. "What is it Cora?"

~!!~
"Then become a fall, I don't care. But find your own way." The goddess said.

~!!~
Kasper crawled into the closet as well, and closed the the door,it was tight but he worked it out somehow. "Then I will stay as well.

~!!~
Dust didn't know what to say, so he he said nothing.

Raven looked over at him; it was too small for both of them. She was sitting very close to him.

"Fine, but I don't have to eat, so I can stay in here longer than you can," She said stubbornly, looking away. She was quiet for a moment, then said "So. Think I'm real now?"
~!!~
Lenora pulled away a moment later, smiling sadly at him. "I'm sure things will turn out okay," She said quietly, her optimisim coming back.
~!!~
Andrea glared at her, and simply nodded. She turned and her gaze fell on Damon.

"Your brother is an angel, I'm assuming. In case you were wondering," She said, her voice bitter and cold.
~!!~
Cora blinked, looking up at him. "I'm sorry, Blake. I'm annoying you, aren't I?" she asked quietly, her eyes red and puffy from her tears. "I shouldn't be here." But she didn't want to be anywhere else.

"She made him weak, it would happen eventually." Damon said, he was entirely void of emotions.

Annabell was confused, "Carlisle is dead?" she muttered.

Rose appeared in the throne room, she was there to let Annabell know. "It appears she already knows..." she said when she saw the despair on the girls face. She didn't acknowledge Damon in any way, not even looking in the direction he was.

"No." Kasper said. "You are not. You are still a firmament of my imagination. I'm using this as a excuse to hide from Bryce, she use to be a jerk before she went brain dead. Yes, I am scared of a girl."

~!!~
Dust shook his head. "I'm not so sure."

~!!~
"Weak or not you still had no right." Isaac said as he appeared, glaring at Andrea. He was mad, he could guess why she was here. "You should of have let him died on his own, it really must be embarrassing for the poor idiot to die twice by his brother's hand."

Lenora shook her head as well. "Everything works itself out eventually," she said, sounding surer of herself than she felt.
~!!~
Raven couldn't help the small smile that spread across her face at his words. "Really," She said quietly, looking away as her smile slowly faded. "Well, figment or not, I'm not moving."
~!!~
Andrea was silent, taking a step back. She didn't care weather Isaac liked it or not; she no longer wanted to be an angel. Yet the goddess said she had to find her own way to become a fallen. She shook her head; she wouldn't do that. But she felt that heavy guilt on her chest regardless of her son's death.
~!!~
Cora slowly closed her eyes again. "'Msorry, Blake," She mumbled, her words joining together. "You know," She said, her voice slowly fading as she fell asleep again. "All those times I told you I hated you? I didn't mean it." Her voice slowly trailed off. "I do love you..." She yawned, as she fell asleep once more.

"It wasn't meant for the idiot, it was meant for the girl." Damon said, "He wouldn't let me and practically begged that I take him instead, he was desperate to keep her alive. But then again, she probably won't last much longer without him, she's like a love sick puppy."

"What do you expect from her if you murdered her husband in cold blood?! Do you expect her to move on like it's nothing?! Sorry Damon, but when most people say they are in love they mean it!!! Unlike you, you fool!!" Rose shouted, anger seemed to roll off of her in tremors.

"I expect people not to be so weak." Damon said in monotone.

Rose just glared in return, she was trying to hold back any more yelling she might do.

PostSubject: Re: The big city.   The big city. - Page 9 I_icon_minitimeMon Apr 05, 2010 10:15 am

-2 weeks later-

Ashlyn stared straight ahead at the wall, her eyes unfocused and sad. She wanted to leave, but couldn’t bring herself to do it. Her only sense of normalcy of her life before her death came from here, sitting in her old room. The familiar purple painted walls, the posters on the wall staring back at her, the pictures on her dresser of familiar faces. Her dad had moved out yet her room remained untouched. She wasn’t sure weather to be happy or sad.

She only thought of Mason now. He had come into her life and left just as quickly, yet he had taught her to trust in just that little time, and stolen her heart along the way. She remembered the way she’d felt when he’d died, watching him die, and flinched, shaking her head. She stood up on shaky legs and sighed, not knowing what to do now; everything was so messed up.
~!!~
Melanie looked around her, her arms wrapped tightly around herself, as if to hold herself together. She was standing near Hope’s home again. She had eventually left before, and wanted to know if Warren was still there. Yet at the same time, she was scared to know. She didn’t want to hurt him anymore than she already had.

She disappeared, reappearing near the dried up lake where she and Warren had come when she was alive. She saw a form there, and as she stepped closer, she recognized him.

She almost turned around right there and left, but stopped herself. She shook her head and took a step towards him.

“Warren?” She asked quietly.
~!!~
Elliot could have sworn she’d seen Tyler in the past two weeks, but she wasn’t sure. She just caught glimpses of a head of red hair, and automatically thought it was him. A week ago she’d given up trying to find him in the underworld, and now spent most of her time in Jake’s cave, trying not to think about him. But he was the reason she was here; she couldn’t not think of him. She loved him too much.

Andrew insisted on annoying her, too, but she had long ago given up yelling at him to go away. Instead she just sat in silence while he talked to her, ignoring him completely. Like now, for instance. He was sitting next to her, but this time, strangely, he wasn’t talking. He was just sitting, staring straight ahead while she struggled to ignore him and to just forget everything, again.
~!!~
Raven hadn’t left her old room since that day Sable had killed Jade. She had fallen asleep in the closet with Kasper that day two weeks ago, and woken up with her head leaning on his shoulder. She hadn’t done it on purpose, yet she still had gotten out as quickly as she could, feeling like she was betraying Aden or something. But then she thought, did he even care? He hadn’t come looking for her at all since she’d left heaven, and she wondered if he had forgotten about her. She knew it was stupid, but she had to wonder.

Right now she was sitting in the corner, her knees pulled up to her chest, thinking. She was still so confused about Jade, but she didn’t even care right now. She just wanted her brother back, she wanted to see Aden again, she wanted things to be okay again, but knew that they never would be. Not again.

But knowing that Sable was in the same house, tormenting a girl here, right in their old home, was enough to hurt her inside that much more. He was so close, but he couldn’t hear her, didn’t recognize her face or her voice. And that was what hurt the most.
~!!~
Laurinda was pacing back and forth in front of the door to Lance’s room, biting her lip in concentration. She couldn’t believe what had happened to him still; falling out a window? She remembered the pure fear she’d felt when he was in the hospital, the worry that had kept her up at night. She also thought about that night she’d told him she loved him, how he’d just up and left the room. He was acting strange, and she didn’t understand it, not at all. And it scared her; she was worried about him.

She finally stopped and knocked on his door, wondering if he was even there, or if he was in the study. He’d just gotten back from the hospital, though, so she assumed he’d be here. “Lance?” She called quietly, knocking again and brushing a strand of red hair behind her ear. “Lance?”
~!!~
Ava saw him everywhere now, it seemed. She couldn’t close her eyes or even be alone without seeing him standing there, watching her with that strange smile on his face, even though she knew he wasn’t really there. She was scared; she wanted to find one of the siblings and see that he was still there, that he wasn’t going to hurt her. She wanted to find Noah and make sure. But she didn’t know how, and it was driving her insane.

She closed her eyes, pulling her knees up to her chest. She was sitting outside, trying to calm herself down. Blake’s sister was here now, and she knew what had happened. She knew that Cora needed Blake more than she did right now, and so she was trying to stay out of the way. But she felt herself losing her grip on reality each day when she saw Nick, and she didn’t know how much longer she could take it.
~!!~
Cora was sitting on the bed in the room she’d been staying in, staring out the window with a blank expression on her face. It was the same face she’d had on ever since Carlisle had died. She couldn’t bring herself to really care about anything anymore. She was staring down at her wedding ring in her hand, biting her lip to keep from crying again. She didn’t want to cry anymore.

She closed her eyes, taking a deep breathe to try and calm herself down. She knew Carlisle was gone, but she kept thinking that one day she’d just turn around, and he’d be there. But he wasn’t; he was gone.
~!!~
Lenora was worried about Dust. She didn’t know what he must be feeling, with Jade dying again. She was also worried about James, since the move seemed certain now. She wanted to help them both, but she felt so useless, so helpless, like she couldn’t do anything at all. She just sat by and watched it all happen, unable to do a thing about it. She shook her head, looking up at the sky. She was laying on the grass outside, trying to stop worrying. But it seemed like the only thing she could do now; she felt useless.

Closing her eyes, she held back her tears. Crying wouldn’t help any of them.
~!!~
Hymn was walking down the corridors of the underworld, her hood pulled up over her hair and hiding her face. She no longer had any of her bruises, and had to wonder what Chris had done to stop it. She shook her head, smiling slightly as she walked by his cavern. She peeked inside, half expecting to see him there. When she didn’t she walked over to the wall, looking at the drawing he’d shown her before. She ran her fingers over it gently, smiling slightly as she did so, kneeling down on the ground.
~!!~
Sable was standing next to Bryce, his eyes blank again. He hadn’t remembered who he truly was since the day he’d killed Jade, but at times when he saw Raven it seemed to come back for a moment, only to leave again just as fast.
~!!~
Brianna was confused and scared. Ivy truly did seem to want to help her, but Monroe was worse than she was. She didn’t understand what was going on until she’d heard Ivy call him ‘brother’, and since then she’d picked up a few more things.

She was sitting on her bed now, her knees pulled up to her chest, staring at the television in silence. Her parents were downstairs, yelling loudly now. She turned her TV volume up louder in an attempt to drown them out.

Ivy was sitting off to the side, frowning. She hadn’t been able to get Josh off of her mind. She had fallen in love with him over that time, only to have him go off and hurt her . But she knew she shouldn’t have been expecting anything else; she was the reason for his death, his demon. She regretted all she’d done now, but it was too late to take it back. But she should try to help Brianna, at least. She wouldn’t let her brother hurt him like he’d hurt her.
~!!~
Andrea wasn’t in heaven, nor was she at Carlisle’s house. She was sitting at the park near his house, staring up at the clouds. It looked like it was going to rain soon, but she didn’t want to get up to leave.

She’d spent most of her time here. She hadn’t gone back to heaven, nor did she plan on doing so any time soon. She didn’t deserve it, she thought. Carlisle was dead, and she was to blame, she felt. She should have seen it coming, but she hadn’t even seen her pendant glowing.

The big city. - Page 9 Empty
PostSubject: Re: The big city.   The big city. - Page 9 I_icon_minitimeMon Apr 05, 2010 11:04 am

Rose stood looking at a grave she hoped she wouldn't have to for awhile. Upon it read Carlisle Moore along with a fake date of birth and his date of death. She let a tear slip down her cheek before wiping it away, "Carlisle... Where are you?" she muttered, she had hoped he would show up sooner rather than later but there was still no sign of him.

"Miss Thatcher." a voice came from behind her and the angel didn't answer, she assumed he was the detective looking for Carlisle's murderer, "We need to ask a few questions about his murder. Do you know where his wife is?"

"Where his wife is is of no concern of yours, I don't need you reminding her of his death. She is sad and that is enough, just back off because she doesn't know anything." Rose said in monotone.

"Can you answer some questions then?" the detective asked.

"About what?" Rose said, "What I saw when I walked in on him lying on the floor?"

"Yes."

"I saw him on the floor covered in his blood," Rose said as she began to cry again, "That is it. Now please leave me and the Moore family alone, you won't catch who did it because we can't help you catch the guy."

"I think the wife is guilty." the detective muttered.

"How dare you blame her!" Rose said in fury, "Cora wasn't anywhere near him when this happened!!! And I do know some people fake their emotions but trust me, she isn't! She is upset and I'd like you to leave us alone!"

"Until I have a guy I can't leave you alone."

Rose bit her lip in indecision, "His name is Damon. This isn't his first attempt either."

"Can you give me a description?"

"I could but you wouldn't believe me." Rose said.

"Try me."

"Fine..." Rose said and she took in a deep breath before speaking, "He has purple hair, green horns, and blood red eyes."

"Have you gone crazy since his death?"

"Nope but now that you know who killed Carlisle you should watch your back, Damon is cruel." Rose muttered.

"Right..." the man muttered before walking away.

"Now why would you do that, Rosie?" Damon asked from behind her.

"Because it was the truth." Rose muttered.

"But now I have to kill him." Damon told her as he walked over to her and brushed his hand over her cheek.

It took all of her will not to give into his touch but she quickly moved away from him, "Leave him alone, he won't catch you anyway. I just can't have him blaming Cora, that is why I told him."

"I see..." Damon said, "How is the young widow?"

"Why do you care?" Rose snapped.

"Just wondering if I should finish my job is all."

"Don't you dare go near her!" Rose shouted.

"I won't, she isn't worth it anymore." Damon said, "She's just a weak human."

"And you're just a sadistic demon." Rose snapped.

"And you're a masochistic angel." Damon said calmly, "You can't get enough of me, even when I hurt people."

"Now that we are done here!" Rose said before she disappeared, she was unable to admit the truth in his statement and had to leave. She reappeared beside Cora and offered her a small smile. "Hey." she muttered.

Warren looked at her. "Why are you following me?" He asked. "I'm out if the manor." He said. "Is that not enough for you?" He asked.

~!!~
Jake appeared in his cave. He smirked. "Why so silent, Andrew? Are you pouting like your friend there?"

~!!~
Aden was sitting in heaven. His face revealed all his anger. He had went looking for Raven, he did find her. She was in a closet with a boy. It had taken all his will power not to yank her out and yell at the human boy.

~!!~
Kasper was in his room. He was sick, laying in bed. He kept glancing at Sable. "Why won't you go away?" He asked.

~!!~
"Come in!" Lance called when someone knocked. He knew who it was. Lulu. He felt bad for worrying her like he did, well he did most of the time. Here lately he found he was caring less about a lot of things. He still loved her, very much so, he just didn't care what happened to her from time to time. He would never admit it but sometimes he thought about hurting her himself.

~!!~
Blake was standing in Cora's doorway. He didn't know what to say, so he hoped his presence was enough for her. He was so scared of saying something and making it worse, he was known for that. He smiled sadly at Rose when she appeared. "Do you want me to go?" He asked. His eyes flicking around the room. He felt uneasy for a while. He wasn't sure why. It could be a number or things, Cora, Ava, or the fact that he felt as if they were being watched.

~!!~
Chris walked in behind her and smiled. He pulled her hood off her head. "You shouldn't hide your beauty." He reminded her.

~!!~
Samson touched Brianna's shoulder. Monroe was no where to be seen. He was down stairs, fueling the fighting. His power was to intensify emotions. He was making the fighting. He was fouceing on her father more so then her mother. Suddenly aloud noise echoed through the house. Her mom was now on the ground, clutching her face. Monroe smirked when he smelt blood.

Melanie shook her head, staying back. "I didn't know you were here," She said quietly, letting her hand fall to her side after she had reached out for him. "I'm sorry," She whispered, not knowing what she was apologizing for. Everything that had happened, she supposed. She looked at the dried up lake, closing her eyes and trying to remember when it was still there.
~!!~
Andrew looked up at Jake, glaring slightly. "No," he said simply, standing up. Elliot glanced back and forth between the two before staring back down at the ground, not saying a word. It was as if her fire had burned out.
~!!~
Raven looked over at Kasper from where she sat in the corner. "Because he's your demon now," She whispered. Sable glacned over at her, and for a moment that flash of recognition flashed behind him eyes, but was gone just as fast. "He won't leave until he breaks you, just like he broke Jade," Raven mumbled, closing her eyes.
~!!~
Laurinda pushed the door open and poked her head in, smiling slightly when she saw Lance. "Hey," she said quietly, stepping in and pulling the door closed behind her. She glanced around for a moment, then looked back at him. "How're you feeling?" She asked after a moment's hesitation.
~!!~
Cora didn't even looked over at Rose as she appeared and spoke to her, nor Blake when he walked in. She continued to stare straight ahead, her knees pulled up to her chest in silence. She had been like this ever since that first day she'd gotten here.
~!!~
Hymn looked up when the room suddenly grew brighter, and turned and looked at Chris, letting her hand fall back to her side. She smiled slightly. "Hey," She said quietly, wondering how long he'd been there.
~!!~
Brianna closed her eyes tightly when Samson touched her shoulder, turning the volume up louder. The noise she heard was louder, though, and she opened her eyes, standing up slowly and walking to the door. She opened it and walked into the hallway, standing at the top of the stairs. she looked down at her mother, still on the ground, and her father standing above her. Her eyes widened as she saw the red blood.

Ivy walked out after her and looked at Monroe, her eyes narrowing as Brianna ran downstairs.

"No..." Rose answered, she stood up and crossed the room to Blake, "She is safe, from Damon at least, from herself is a whole different story." she told him, "How has she been?" she asked.

"Like that." He said quietly. "She won't move. There was once a time where I would of poked her and asked if she was broken. But I fear she is." He said softly as he walked to the bed and wrapped his arm around his sister's shoulder. "Cora?"

~!!~
Warren looked away. "Do you remember when we met?" He asked suddenly. "How I got you to come to this lake?" With those words he revealed why he was here. He was remembering, and torturing himself with memories.

~!!~
Lance looked at her. "Hey." He said. "I'm fine." He said. "Don't worry too much about me. How are you?" He asked.

~!!~
Monroe smiled and turned her father's rage up higher as the little girl ran near him.

"Brianna!" Samson said trying to stop her.

Ashlyn rolled up her long sleeves, staring at her bare arm and the scars the covered almost all of her skin. She couldn’t even remember how she’d gotten most of them; mostly from fights. She traced her finger over one that ran from her wrist all the way up to her elbow, then let her hand fall back to her side. She stood up and glanced around the room, which was so familiar yet so alien at the same time. She wanted to leave, but couldn't bring herself to. She sat down on the edge of her bed and lay down, curling up into a small ball under the covers and closing her eyes, wishing things could go back to the way they used to be.
~!!~
Elliot watched as Andrew left, saying nothing as she watched him go. She moved farther away from the entrance of the cave, closing her eyes and leaning her head back against the wall. She let out a small sigh, but then fell silent.
~!!~
Cora moved out of her brother's embrace, shaking her head. "I wish you'd stop talking about me like I'm not here," She said quietly. "It's annoying." She fell silent again, staring out the window in silence, closing her eyes and wishing they would both go away. She just wanted to be alone.
~!!~
Laurinda sighed, shaking her head. "I'm fine," She said quietly, still standing near the door. She didn't believe him at all, that he was okay. She could tell that he wasn't, and she wished he wouldnt' lie to her about it.
~!!~
Melanie shook her head quickly, taking another step towards him before forcing herself to stop. "Warren..." She said quietly. "Warren, why are you here?" She demanded. "You're not going to help yourself or anyone else by staying here." She bit her lip, shaking her head again. "You should just forget about me, about everything," She whispered.
~!!~
Brianna didn't stop until she stood near her father. She looked up at him, her eyes narrowed. She was about to say something when she felt a sharp pain as he hit her, and she stumbled back, hodling her cheek. She stared up at him; she had never seen him this angry before. She turned and ran then, stumbling over her feet not once but twice before running outside and slamming the door behind her. She wasn't sure why, but she ran nextdoor, and knocked on James' door, tears blurring her vision as she held her cheek.

Ivy shook her head, staring at her brother with pure hatred in her eyes.

"There is a detective looking for who killed him. I sent him towards Damon but I don't think he believes me, he thinks it was you." Rose said to Cora, "He doesn't know where you are so that shall give me time to think but I thought you should know."
