The big city.

"Yay!!!" Annabell said and she hugged Cora tightly before running for the door. "Lets go, Lets go!!!!" she shouted happily.

Carlisle couldn't help but laugh at his youger sister.

Cora smiled slightly, a small laugh escaping her lips. She glanced at Carlisle before following Annabell to the door. She opened the door and stepped outside, then turned back to look at the two still inside. She was wearing a short sleeved dress, not someting well suited for rain, but she didn't seem to mind as she stood under the cover of the roof.

Lance watched her quietly. "You should take a shower wen you are done." He said. "You are covered in mud from being outside." He said.

"No, I would have never killed you, you were to much fun to break to kill." He said. He then looked at Brianna. "Why, hello little girl!" He said dropping Ivy. "I'm Monroe, your new demon!" He smirked.

"Jake do you want to borrow my pet?" She asked. "Show her I'm awfully more nice then you are."

Jake smirked. "It would be my pleasure to break her." He said as if he was talking about a horse.

Chris smiled, and disappeared. A few moments later he was standing in front of the demon that been hurting to Hymn.

Jade clawed at her hands, but she had no nails, she bit them to the quick. She couldn't breath and her vision faded. Suddenly Clara appeared next to them. "Jade...."

Before she could finish Jade nodded. "Please." She begged, with her last breath.

Laurinda just nodded, and picked up the now wet towel and moved on to the small puddle near the base of the stairs. She didn't say anything yet.

Ivy fell to the ground, and sucked in a quick breathe, her eyes still wide. She looked at Monroe at his words, and stood up.

"No!" She shouted, but her voice was raspy. "You're not!"

Brianna's eyes were wide, and as more lighting struck she jumped. "What's..what's going on?" She asked quietly.

"Break me?" Ashlyn asked. "What are you talking about? I'm not going with either of you!" She shouted. She took a step back, shaking her head.

Elliot stepped away from Jake, and her eyes fell on Tyler. All that she had felt were written in them; heartbreak, sadness, confusion.

Hymn frowned, having a strange feeling in the pit of her stomach. She slid back down the wall, shaking her head. She watned to fight her own battles, not have him do it for her.

The demon looked at Chris, a smirk crossing his lips. "Ah, hello there. How can I help you?" he asked, the smirk still on his face.

Sable didn't even seem to notice Clara, or Jade clawing at his hand. His grip only tightened, more and more and more. All his anger was directed into it.

Raven was still at the park, laying on the grass, asleep. Her pendent was glowing brightly.

Annabell ran passed Cora swiftly and into the rain. She jumped into puddles and danced around in the rain, laughing as she did so.

Carlisle stood up and walked to the door as well, standing by Cora when he walked outside, "At least she can keep herself entertained."

Lance sighed. "Lulu, when you are done, can I talk to you?" He asked, quietly. His arms were folded over his chest, and his face was blank.

"Ivy is going soft." Monroe said. He smirked. "So I am replacing her little girl." He said.He then laughed. "I won't go soft." He said.

Jake laughed, and grabbed her arm. "You have no choice, girly." He said, and disappeared, reappearing in his cave.

Tyler looked at Elliot. "I'm sorry." He said softly, backing away from her.

"Do you know the pain of the fires?" Chris asked, suddenly behind him, his hand over his eyes. He put the illusion inside his head. The feeling of the goddess's flames eating at his skin, wishing for the pain to end, but it never going away.

Jade felt the world fading around her. Clara smiled reached over and touched the center of Jade's chest, over her heart. Then she touched Sable. As soon as Jade died he would go sane for a few moments. And Jade was fading fast, her hands fell to her side, she was no longer able to keep clawing at his hand.

Laurinda looked up at Lance and blinked once, then nodded. "Yeah, sure," She said, and went back to the puddle. She didn't like the look on his face. Soon she was holding the wet towel, and walked back over to him. "Um, I think that's about all of it," She mumbled.

Brianna shook her head slowly. Ivy was glaring at her brother.

"I'm not going soft, and I'm not letting you replace me!" She shouted. Brianna sat down on the edge of her bed, her face downcast. It looked like she had given up.

Ashlyn pulled herself from his grasp, glaring at him and looking around. "Where are we?" She asked, rubbing her arm. She turned her glare back to him. "Why did you take me here?"

Elliot looked at Tyler, shaking her head. "Why?" She finally whispered.

The demon was about to pull out of his grasp when he felt the pain. It was as if it were really happening, and he yelled, feeling the flames. "Get off!" He finally managed to shout through the pain.

Sable didn't seem to notice Clara still, only tightening his grip, as if seeing the life being drained out of Jade gave him some sort of strange satisfaction.

Cora laughed. "She looks like she's having fun," She said, her arms over her chest as she watched with a small smile on her features.

Lance nodded slowly. "Then go take your shower, I'll wait in the study." He said softly. Then he turned and walked up the stairs frowning slightly.

"You won't?" He smirked. Suddenly he had Brianna up in the air. "So what if I just snapped her pretty little neck right now?" He asked.

"The Dark Cravens." Jake said. "This is your home until the goddess wants you back. Where's Andrew?" He asked no one. "I don't want you." He said with a laugh.

Chris pulled away. "Leave Hymn alone of you will experience that for real." He said, then he was gone.

Jade looked at him with one last time, her eyes were blank as if she didn't care she was about to die. She closed her eyes. Then once more open them, then it was all over, her closed for the last time.

"Indeed she does." Carlisle said, "Then again, Annabell was never hard to make happy." he added.

Annabell found a rather large puddle and jumped in it with as much force as she could, sending water everywhere.

Cora laughed as she was splashed lightly by the puddle, and watched the young girl with a smile on her face.

Ava still hadn't moved from outside as the rain continued to pour down. She stared down at her pale hands, her wet hair falling over her face.

Laurinda nodded slowly. She walked to the room she was staying in, took a change of clothes, and walked into the bathroom. As she started the water her mind was trying to wrap around what was going on with Lance. Was he that upset over a few puddles? She couldn't figure it out, even as she stepped into the shower and washed the mud off.

Brianna's eyes widened; she couldn't breathe. She kicked her legs, struggling to get down, but she couldn't.

Ivy's eyes widened. "No!" she yelled suddenly, and grabbed his hands, forcing him off of Brianna, who fell to the ground, gasping in air.

Ashlyn glared at him. "I don't have to stay here. I don't have to stay anywhere! I'm not her pet, and I'm not yours either!!" She shouted, and turned to leave the cave when Andrew appeared in the opening. He looked at Jake with a bored expression. "What?" he asked.

Elliot shook her head. "I'm sorry, Ty," she said quietly. "For everything. Please forgive me." She closed her eyes and disappeared then, out of the underworld and back to the dark caverns.

Hymn stood up again, shaking her head. This felt wrong; she shouldn't just be standing by while Chris fought her battles. She paced back and forth in silence, knowing she could do ntohing about it.

Sable pulled back suddenly, his eyes wide as he regained his senses. "Jade?" he whispered. His eyes widened more when he realized that he had done this. "No!" he shouted, kneeling next to her. "Jade!"

Raven appeared then, her pendant glowing brightly. It slowly faded as Jade's life did. She looked at Sable, the fallen Jade, and then at the floor. She disappeared again without a word to Sable.

After a few minutes of playing Annabell jumped back on to the porch and smiled up at her brother and sister-in-law. The young girl was completely drenched yet ecstatically happy with it.

Lance sat in the study. He closed his eyes. What was wrong with him? He didn't know.

Monroe glared at his sister. "I thought you said that you weren't soft." He growled.

"I leave that in your care." He said. "She doesn't think she is anyone's pet. The goddess asked that she to be broken." He said.

Tyler looked away. "You didn't do anything wrong, you just need to be protected from yourself." He said softly.

"If I can't be with the one thing left that matters to me, then I don't see the point in protecting myself from anything," She whispered to herself as she reappeared in Jake's cavern. She had heard Tyler's last words as she faded. She looked around, her eyes falling on Ashlyn as she was dragged out by Andrew, looking confused, perhaps even frightened.

"What's going on?" She demanded, but Ashlyn and Andrew were already gone.

Laurinda soon stepped out, and was dressed a few moments later, drying off her hair. She stared at herself in the mirror, hardly recognizing herself anymore. She wasn't thin anymore, and actually almost looked her age. She turned away from the mirror and was standing in the study a few moments later, pushing the door open. "Hello?"

Ivy shook her head. "She's my charge, my job!" She shouted. Brianna was crying, tears slippnig down her cheeks as the storm raged on. "I'm not letting you do that!" Ivy yelled.

Cora laughed. "Having fun?" She asked, smiling as she looked at Annabell.

Tyler's eyes widened, and he went to grab her, but she was already gone. He looked down at his hands. "She won't do anything stupid, right?" He asked himself.

Lance looked up. "Lulu." He said, smiling slightly. He suddenly looked down.

"No! Little sister, she is my charge now. Wanna complain? Go complain to the goddess." He said.

Sable fell to his knees, and felt the other side of him taking over. "No!" he yelled, but it did no good. He soon stood up again, took one look at Jade's fallen form, and disappeared.

Raven was in her old home, tears in her eyes as she pushed through the front door and up the stairs to her old room. The walls were a faded pink, and she sat down in the corner, a sob shaking her body. Jade; she was dead, again. And it was her fault.

Ivy glared at Monroe once more, ignoring the hint of fear she felt. Then she disappeared, reappearing in front of the goddess.

Brianna looked at Monroe in silence now, tears sliding down her cheeks. Thunder clapped again, and she jumped, surpressing a scream. "P--Please," She stammered.

Laurinda frowned. "What's up?" She asked, closing the door behind her as she stepped in. "You said you wanted to talk to me, right?" She hedged.

Elliot looked at Jake, her eyes narrowed. "What is going on?" she demanded. "Why did Andrew take that girl away?"

"That is none of your concern." Jake said, sitting down. "Now be a good girl, and behave." He said, frowning.

"I wanted to tell you something." He said softly. "But I'm not sure how you will take it." He said.

Jade followed Clara in the thrown room. Her face was blank. "Avari." She said softly. Jade nodded slowly. "This is our mother." She said. Jade nodded and looked at her 'mother'.

The goddess smiled at the blank girl, then looked Ivy. "What?" She snapped.

Laurinda frowned. "Is this about the puddles?" She asked suddenly. "'Cause I'm really sorry about that, I just went to check on Ava, and then...well, I got wet."

Ivy glared at the goddess, ignroing Jade. "Why did you give my charge away to my brother?" She demanded.

Elliot glared at Jake, and suddenly she didn't care about herself anymore. She wanted to make him angry; she wanted to see herself hurt. It didn't matter anymore. This was what drove her to say the next words she did.

"Did you ever say that to Suki?" She asked. "Whatever happened to her, anyways?" She asked. "Oh, yes, I traded my wings for hers. How do you think she feels, though, Jake?" She asked, looking at him. "All alone in heaven, without you. I'll bet you broke her heart." She wasn't sure whys he said that; perhaps because she felt that way about Tyler.

"Yesh!!!!" Annabell said happily. She then ran back out in the rain and jumped around some more.

"No." Lace said. "It isn't about the water." He said softly. "I was just using that as a excuse because I don't know how to tell you..."His voice trailed off.

Goddess frowned. "Because you weren't doing your job." She growled. "Your brother was free, but if you want I can put the demon that killed you on that job." She smirked.

Jake stood up. "How dare you!?" He yelled. "I did what I did because I loved her!" He shouted.

"Oh, really?" Elliot demanded, hands on her hips. she was releasing her own feelings now, her feelings towards Tyler. she knew it would only get Jake to hurt her, but right now, would it really make a difference? "And how do you think she feels, without you there?" She demanded. "All alone. I'll bet she hates you, maybe. feels like you abandoned her, left her without you. You acted selfishly."

Laurinda frowned. "You can tell me anything," She said quietly, pushing away from the door and taking another step in.

Ivy stood there, looking furious, until finally her clenched fists relaxed, and she looked at the goddes defiantly. "I will help her," she said suddenly. "I will not let my brother touch her. That is a promise."

Cora laughed, watching her in silence now.

Carlisle watched his sister silently. He then thought about watching his own child playing in the rain. He then remembered that he and Cora couldn't and the thought disappeared; he didn't want it if it wasn't with Cora. An unemotional look crossed his face as be watched Annabell jump into another large puddle.

"You don't understand love do you?!" Jake yelled. "I don't care if she hates me! All that matters is that she is safe and where she needs to be! No matter how much she hates me, I love her, and I did the right thing for her!" He shouted. There was shining in his eyes. He cursed loudly and had Elliot pined to the wall.

Lance looked down. "What if it was that I love you?" Lance suddenly asked.

The goddess smirked. "It what will that make of you?" She asked.

Elliot didn't flinch or show anything, fear or pain, as he pinned her to the wall. SHe just continued, her anger and hurt pouring out in her words. Part of her wanted him to hurt her.

"Really? Did the right thing?!" She demanded. "While she's probably up there, wondering what she did wrong to have made you do that to her? Crying, maybe? Heartbroken. She probably would have rather stayed here in pain than be seperated from you," She said, speaking as if she knew Suki, which she didn't. She just continued, though. "You acted selfishly, and you were wrong. You may think you did the best for her, when all you did was hurt her in the end."

Laurinda blinked in surprise, then felt the blood rush to her cheeks. The last time she had heard those words, it had been from her parents. Her real parents, the last people she had ever really loved. She looked at him for a moment, silence engulfing the room. She didn't know what to say; her tongue felt heavy, and she couldn't form words, even if she knew what she wanted to say.

Ivy glared at her. "I don't care. I won't let it happen!" She shouted, realizing the truth of her words as she spoke them. This whole time, she'd been so focused on her job and trying to keep doing it event hough she obviously no longer wanted to, but now she wouldn't do it any longer. She didn't know whens he had changed, and it didn't matter. The fact was she had. "You'll see. I won't let him," She said, and then disappeared, reappearing next to Brianna again, who was sitting in her closet once more, knees pulled to her chset as the storm raged on.

Cora frowned, and turned her gaze to Carlisle. She placed a hand on his cheek, making him look her in the eyes. "Are you okay?" She asked softly.

Ava finally stood up, waterlogged and soaking wet. She didn't go inside, however. Instead she trudged through the mud and grass, towards the woods, heading to the meadow.

Carlisle nodded and a fake grin crossed his face, "Just lost in thought." he lied and he instantly felt bad about it.

"And you are any better!?" Jake demand. "Don't take your anger out on me when it is all our fault that Tyler won't look at you!" He shouted. "How many do you think you had hurt him trying to 'help' him?!" He demanded. "You traded your wings for his sanity. Don't you think that was a blow in the face for him? Then you take his insanity from him when all he needed was you to be there for him!? Yeah, I can see why he would not want to see your face again. How can anyone love someone who is willing to put themselves in pain for you without even asking you what you want!?" He demand. Suddenly the girl was across cave. Jake pressed his foot to her chest. "Then you have the bloody nerve to put yourself in a spot like this. Don't you think that is another blow to his face. Nothing he do can can protect you from yourself!" He press hard. "Don't talk to me about Suki, because you are no better."

Lance took it the wrong way. He stood up and walked pass her, without another word. He wouldn't bug her if she didn't love him back. He wouldn't do that to her.
