The big city.

Elliot took his words in silence; it was what she felt that she deserved. For she knew he was right. She said nothing even as he pressed down harder with his foot, though her entire body ached, and hurt. She looked up at him, saying nothing now. Finally, she just said. "Oh, I am different from Suki. I'm here; she's not, and probably never will be again." Her words were short but sharp, and she hoped they hit her mark.

"What are you doing here?" Brianna stammered, looking at Ivy. Saying nothing, the demon just took a seat on her bed, looking at her brother, as if daring him to say something, or do something.

Laurinda's feet felt glued to the spot, even as she watched him go. Finally, she spun around, grabbing his arm with her much smaller hand. "I just---need to think," She said slowly, hoping her voice didn't waver, like it sounded.

Cora frowned, obvioulsy not believing him. But she didn't press the matter, and instead turned back to watch Annabell, her smile returning slightly.

Carlisle also looked back at Annabell but soon decided to walk inside. "I'll be upstairs." he told Cora and he kissed her cheek lightly before heading inside, upstairs and into their room. He leaned against the wall and looked out the window at the sky.

They did. "How dare you!?" He shouted.He said, picking her up and throwing against another wall. "You will pay. Suddenly there was a long sharp knife in his hand and he had it over her heart. "It won't kill you, but you will never be able to love again." He said.

Monroe smirked. "Goody goody." He said. "I'm having fun." He said.

Lance nodded and pulled his arm free, leaving her alone in the room.

Elliot flinched as she was thrown at the wall, her back hitting first, pain shooting through her body from her wings. But still, she didn't waver. She looked up at him, the knife, and knew she should feel scared, but didn't. Only when she heard the other words did she begin to worry.

Wouldn't it be easier, not to love? But still, it was her love for Tyler that kept her going, weather or not he returned it any longer. So she looked up at Jake, saying nothing. "Please," She finally spoke, but she had a feeling it wouldn't change his mind. "Don't."

Ivy glared at him. "I don't know where Samson is, but I'm staying here with her until he shows his face, if he does," She said simply, arms folded across her chest. Brianna looked beyond confused.

"You want to he--help me?" She stammered. Ivy looked at her and just nodded once before turning back to Monroe. Brianna said nothing.

Laurinda slowly sank down in the chair in the room, her mind spinning. So quickly things had been turned upsidedown on her, and she was struggling to get her bearings. She still didn't understand her feeling for Lance exactly, and now that one word repeated itself again and again in her mind. Love.

Cora nodded slowly, and watched him go back inside until she could no longer see him. She pulled the front door closed once more, and turned back to Annabell. She looked distracted now, however.

Annabell finished her fun in he rain and jumped back on the porch. She shook herself off, slightly resembling a wet dog as she did so, and flashed a giant happy smile at Cora, "Thank you for coming outside with me." she said childishly. The girl then realized how she must look and she changed her attitude slightly, "I should clean myself up..." she muttered.

"Why should I?" He demanded. "So you can go on about how I hurt Suki, when I already know this?" He questioned.

"Then leave." Samson said appearing next to Brianna. "I was busy, but I can stay now. Now go. You will be no help any how." He glared at Monroe.

Elliot looked up at him. "But at least you still feel love," she said quietly. "Please don't take that away from me." Yet she didn't look scared. She just stared up at him, eyes blank and distant.

Brianna shook her head. "All of you, just go away!!" She shouted. She took a step towards her door, her voice rising. "Is it too much to ask for a normal existance?? Just to be a normal 12 year old, not having demons, and--and angels, and all of you around me constantly, making everything so much harder?!" She cried, opening her door with shaking hands. "All of you, just get away from me!" And then she was out of the room, slamming the door behind her. She locked herself in the bathroom, tears in her eyes.

Ivy glared at him. "No. I know my brother. I'm not going anywhere." She didn't even seem fazed as Brianna stormed out.

Laurinda didn't know what to think. She wanted to think more about it, but the more she did, the more she was confused. She didn't understand it. She stood up and walked over to the door, but hesitated with her hand over the knob.

Cora laughed, even though she was now damp from Annabell. She smiled at her, and nodded.

"Thank you again!" Annabell said as she hugged Cora, "I'll be back!" she said before disappearing.

"What's wrong Carlie?" Damon asked from behind his younger brother.

"Nothing." Carlisle said bluntly, "Just thinking."

"I'll give you something to think about!" Damon said and he pushed Carlisle towards the window.

With the surprise trick Damon had pulled and his own distraction slowing Carlisle down he was unable to stop himself as he crashed through the window. Broken glass showered onto him, cutting his skin, and then onto the ground one story below. "F**K!!!" he shouted as he tried to pull himself back up.

"Tah tah Carlie!" Damon said before he disappeared.

Jake pulled away. "Get out of my sight!" He yelled. "NOW!"

Samson sighed, and disappeared.

Monroe smirked. "Well, little sister, as soft as always?" He asked.

Elliot stood up unsteadily and nodded, disappearing. She reappeared in Andrew's cavern, where a dazed Ashlyn stood. She was holding her jaw as if it hurt, a few bruises already appearing on her arms and cheek, blood pooled around her ankles from a gash on her upper leg. Andrew looked at her, and just as fast she was gone. Elliot didn't have the energy to yell at him.

Ashlyn reappeared in the goddess' throne room, silent.

"I am not soft," Ivy said slowly, trying to ignore the fear creeping up on her. "You're just a--" She was cut off by a crash in the next room.

Brianna had thrown her hair brush at the mirror, which had shattered now. She didn't bothe rto pick up the pieces, sitting on the edge of the tub with tears in her eyes.

Cora looked up as she heard Carlisle's voice, and her eyes widened. She ran back inside and upstairs as fast as her legs could carry her, opening the door to their room. She ran over to the window and grasped his arm. "Hold on," she said, trying to pull him up, not thinking about what could have happened right then. She didn't even seem to feel the glass under her bare feet.

"Like I have another option!" Carlisle said in panic as he scrambled to gather himself enough to get back inside. He managed to get a foot against the wall and with Cora's help he hurled himself through the window where he laid on the floor beneath the window, not caring about the pieces of glass that dug into him.

The goddess smirked. "Which one did that to you? Head or second?" She asked. "Are you going to listen now, my pet, I can always give you to them. I'm sure you haven't seen Jake's insane side yet." She was smirking.

Samson appeared next to Brianna. "What are you doing?" He demanded. He quickly bent down and picked up the glass.

Brianna glared at him, her vision blurred by her tears. She picked up the things closest to her, shampoo bottles from the shower, and threw them at him, aiming for his head. One exploded on impact, and shampoo covered his hair. "Get out!" She shouted, with each one she threw, until she only had one left, which she gripped in her hand tightly, shaking.

Cora was breathing heavily as she knelt down next to him, ignoring the glass as well. "What just hpapened??" she asked, her eyes wide. "Are you okay??"

Ashlyn just looked at her. "Second," She said quietly. "And yes, I will listen to you," she almost whispered, defeated.

Samson stood up and grabbed her by the arm and dragged her to the shower, and turned the cold water on, then the shower came to life. He held under the freezing water. "Cool down, girly." He said.

The goddess smirked. "Then go back to Chip, and break his heart more then you have already done." She commanded.

Brianna jumped at the sudden cold, shivers running down her spine. "You je--jer---jerk!" She stammered, and grabbed his arm, pulling her under the water next to her and soaking him the prcoess.

Ashlyn's eyes suddenly widened, and she suddenly shook her head. "No," She said slowly. "No. I'd rather go back to Andrew then do that." She shook her head again.

The goddess frowned. "But-"

Jake appeared next to Ashlynn then. He had a strange glint in his eyes. "No, this time I will take care of her." His voice was cold and heartless.

Samson stood up. "I may be a jerk, but you are directly from my blood!" He said. As he looked down at her suddenly something flashed in his mind. "Mina." He said his daughter's name softly. Brianna look at so much like her. He shook his head. Mina was gone, he hadn't seen her since the day she died, since the day she drowned at the age of six. He hated Brianna for looking so much like her.

Brianna climbed out of the shower slowly, turning the water off with shaking hands. The bathroom was a mess, shampoo and glass spilt on the floor. She fumbled for a towel, then slowly turned back to him. "Who's Mina?" She asked quietly, her voice suddenly much softer.

Ashlyn turned to Jake, shaking her head. "Nothing you can do will make me ever hurt anyone I care about again," She said, but something in his voice made her waver, if only for a moment.

Samson glared at her, then looked at a nearby wall. "Mina was my daughter." His tone was also softer, as it always spoke of his first child to be born, and his first child do die.

Jake smirked. "We shall see." And with that they disappeared back into Jake's cave. "Sometimes it is the mental pain that hurts the most." He said as he kissed her forehead. He started pulling out random memories, and twisting them. Her mother's death was turned into her mother's murder. He made her thing her dad killed her mother. Mason's death was also turned into a murder, he made her think it was her who killed him, with a gun. He twisted so many more memories and to go along with that he put a pain in her head.

"Damon" Carlisle muttered as he regained his breath, "And if I don't die from a heart attack from this I'll be fine." his voice showed his failed attempt to be calm.

Brianna was silent, the only sound the dripping of the water from the faucet in the shower. Finally, she smiled slightly at him. "It's a beautiful name," She said quietly, kneeling down and beginning to clean up the mess.

Ashlyn fell to her knees, her eyes wide as she felt her mind slowly twist on itself. "Stop!!" She cried, as the memories played through her mind. She told herself they were false, but now she didn't know, now she wasn't so sure. "Please, stop!" She cried, weaker than before, as if her voice was fading out.

Cora was silent, looking down at him. She brushed a hand across his forhead, then placed a hand no his arm in an attempt to help him calm down. The glass bit into her own skin as well, but she ignored it.

Samson pulled a towel off the rack and began to dry his blond hair. "I wanted to name her Eve." He spoke softly. "It was her mother's idea to name her Mina." He had no idea why he was telling her this.

"No!" Jake said, in an angry voice. He went on, twisting her mind. It was like he was ripping it apart.

Brianna looked up from where she was on the ground, cleaning up the shampoo. She smiled slightly, her hair dripping. "Eve is pretty, too," She said quietly, standing up and rinsing off the shampoo from the towel in the sink.

Ashlyn cried out in pain, though emotional or physical she wasn't sure. Her mind bent, the memories playing faster, faster. She closed her eyes tightly, shaking her head again and again.

"Stop!!" Elliot shouted suddenly, standing in the entrance of the cave.

"Yeah." Samson said quietly. He dropped a towel on her head. "Dry off." He said.

Jake spun around but he didn't stop twisting her memories. "No, not until she will do as she is told." He said.

"Stop!" Elliot shouted again, but knew it would do no good.

"I---I will," Ashlyn just barely managed to say through gritted teeth.

Brianna nodded simply, and wrapped the towel around her small shoulders, then began to dry off her hair in silence.

Carlisle's breath began to slow to it's normal pace and he looked at Cora, "You should get out of the glass" he told her in concern.
