Hymn just shook her head once more. "And I appreciate it. But I need to handle this on my own," She said. Her face was twisted in pain as she spoke, however.

Laurinda's eyes widened slightly, and her cheeks heated up. She was suddenly grateful to have a fever so he couldn't tell she was blushings. She closed her eyes, mentally scolding herself. He probably thought of her as a sister, or some kid that he had to protect. She hated that that thought was bugging her. Her heart sank low in her chest.

Cora pulled back quickly and nodded. She had forgotten how hurt he had been. She felt a sudden pang of guilt in her chest.

Ava had fallen asleep on Blake's bed, the image of Nick looking at her, saying her name, still engraved sharply in her mind.

Melanie stood up suddenly and disappeared, reappearing next to Hope and Warren, invisible to her. She had her hands clenched into tight fists at her sides.

Carlisle reached over to the nightstand and picked up a medicine bottle. He took a few pills from it and swallowed them quickly, "That will do the trick." he said and he looked down at her and saw she felt guilty, "Don't feel guilty, love. If it meant you were that close to me I wouldn't really mind." he said quickly before he kissed her passionately.

Chris sighed. "Hymn..." He said slowly.

Blake appeared next to her, frowning deeply.

Warren glanced at her with sadness. He said nothing.

Laurinda closed her eyes, and pretended to be asleep. Anything so that she didn't say the wrong thing, for she felt something strange right now, something she couldn't quite place.

Ava didn't stir, deep in sleep.

Hymn shook her head agian. "No," She said, strongly. She turned back to the wall, and a small smile made its way to her face. She turned back to him, and sighed.

Melanie flinched and looked away, but did nothing else. She had to do this. She didn't want to, but she had to.

She placed a hand on Hope's arm, making her remember how she had felt when Warren had disappeared. She had to do this. She had no choice.

Cora managed a small smile, just as he kissed her. She didn't hesitate as she kissed him back.

Carlisle wrapped his arms around her waist and kissed her more eagerly, hoping it wouldn't be his last.

Lance ran his finger through her hair, almost as if he was making it neat.

Chris blinked. "What?" He asked.

Warren slapped her hand away, and glared at her, the glare was replace by a sadness.

Hope was crying, she looked at Warren, tears in her eyes.

Laurinda's cheeks turned pink again. She didn't understnad him at all; why was he doing this? Just what was she to him? What did he think of her?

"It's beautiful," Hymn said simply, glancing at the wall behind her once more.

Melanie saw the sadness in his eyes, and tried to hide her own. She took a step back, looking down at her feet.

Cora was trying to keep him close, and not hurt him at the same time. It was harder than she thought.

Carlisle lips turned up at her hesitance to hold him too closely, in response his body moved even closer to hers. After taking the med's to stop pain he no longer cared about whether or not he would get hurt, just that the possibility of his last mortal night was spent as close to her as humanly possible. While still holding her waist firmly he moved to lay on his back and had her on his chest and abdomen, he broke the kiss once for air but quickly continued.

Cleo coughed. "Enough of that!" She said, to Carlisle, and Cora. Standing next to her was Zane, Darren, and Joanna. Blake appeared behinf them, frowning.

"A few hours early won't hurt." Darren chripped. "The sooner the better, right!?"

Link was smileing down at her.

Cora was up on her feet within moments of hearing the first voice. Her heart sank in her chest; early. They had come early. Her eyes fell on Blake, and her eyes widened.

Hymn blushed lightly, and looked down at the ground. She had her hands behind her back.

Laurinda had to struggle to keep her breathing low and even. She didn't want him to know that she was awake.

Carlisle looked over at the Angels and saw Blake, he shut his eyes in disbelief, he didn't want to even think that Blake had seen that. He opened his eyes once more and frowned widely. He sat up, several things cracking in his body as he did so but the pain killers kicked in and he felt none of it. He reached for crutches and used them to stand up, after doing so he intertwined the fingers of one hand in to Cora's. "I suppose it couldn't make things any worse." he sighed to the Judgement Angels. He refused to make eye contact with Blake.

Zane frowned. "Anything you want to say?" He asked Carlisle.

Blake frowned deeply. He was rocking back and forth, much like a child does when they don't want to be there.

"You know," Link said. "I -" He cut himself off, he was now frowning.

Cora held his hand tightly, but her eyes on were on Blake. Why was he here? And why was he acting like that? She remained silent, her head held high.

Laurinda's eyes twitched slightly, as she resisted the urge to open them. She wanted to know what he was going to say.

Carlisle nodded and looked at Cora, "Thank you for being with me despite this, I never dreamed I would meet a woman like you. I love you." He then turned back to the angels, "I believe that is all I'll ever need to say." he said.

Blake opened his mouth. "Shut up." Zane said to him, snd he closed his mouth. Zane looked at Joanna. "We have alreay dicussed what shall become of you. All that is left, is for Blake to speak." He said looking back at Carlisle. He was smirking. Blake didn't look pleased.

Lance poked her cheek. "Are you away?"

Cora smiled sadly at him, then turned back to the angels, still holding his hand tightly. She felt her eyes widen slightly as they said that Blake had to speak. She had a sinking feeling in her stomach now. She looked at Blake, head held high, face impassive. But her eyes betrayed the fear she felt.

Laurinda still didn't move, trying not to show that she was awake. She wanted him to say whatever he was going to say; she wanted to know.

Carlisle looked down defeated, there was no way he would be able to stay if Blake had anything to do with it. To Blake he was no more than the demon who tortured humans rather than the human who deeply loved the women beside him. That little fact probably made matters worse even.

Blake bit his lip as the judgement angel's began to stare at him. "I think he should be a demon again." He said, Zane kept looking at him. Blake stared right at Cora. "It's hard to imagne someone changes at the flip of the coin. Once a killer, always a killer. Right?" He just kept making it worse. "I don't like him, and I don't think Cora should be around him, I don't like it." He paused. "But, no one cares what I think, isn't that right Cora?" He said. He was quoting her. "So I'll tell you what I know. I know more then you think." He said to Cora. "Carlisle isn't that bad of a guy." He said with a shrug. "I just don't like him. I know he doesn't deserve to be a demon, I would just like to see that happen." He was chewing on his lip. "Cora loves him, I know I would be an awful brother if I sent her husband back to the firey pitts of the underworld."

"I like you, you know?" He said suddenly.

Cora felt her heart sink lower and lower with each word he spoke. Blake was goingg to condemn him, just like that?! She stood up straight, refusing to show how much his words stung her, keeping her eyes on his. She flinched as he quoted her. She felt her heart skip a beat as he changed what he was saying, however.

"So what are you saying?" Cora asked finally, keeping her head held high.

Laurinda felt her heart skip a beat, but she refused to show him. He obviously meant as a friend; what else would he mean?? But why did she care?? She kept her eyes closed.

Carlisle felt disheartened with every word Blake spoke, it was over, he be demon once more. His hand tightened around Cora's as if refusing to let go. He raised an eye brow when he said something slightly nice about him. Would that be enough to save him from an enternity in the Underworld?

Darren rolled her blind eyes. "Your seech is touching, but what are you getting at?" She asked.

Blake shrugged. "I'm geuss I'm saying he should remain human." He frowned. "But I don't think he should go by unwatched. If he makes a mistake, I think he should be sent back to be a demon."

Link laughed neverously. "See, how lame I am?" He said. "Telling you I care for you, while you are sleeping."

Cora felt a wide grin spread across her face, but she tired to hold it back. It wasn't decided yet. She looked at Darren now. Joanna was standing silently.

Laurinda frowned lightly in her 'sleep'. She had guessed he cared for her; why else would he bother with her? And she cared for him as well, so much, yet lately....she didn't know what she had been feeling.

Although surprised by Blake, Carlisle couldn't believe part of what he had said, watched for mistakes and turned back if he made one. Like he was some sort of criminal, but of course Blake was an Angel so he was way better then Carlisle could ever be. Carlisle kept an impassive look on his face while he sulked imwardly. He wasn't a bad guy, heck he'd like to see Blake try and live a single day during the time that Carlisle had grown up. Blake knew nothing about what life as a knight meant, killing was an order that you followed through with unless you planned on dying and since being human the only person Carlisle had harmed was his jerkish older brother, who deserved it entirely for even thinking about messing with Cora.

Zane shrugged. "I geuss your staying human." He said, and turned to Darren, and Joanna. "Go tell the goddess, she wanted to know the fate of her fomar demon."

Cleo look slightly disappoionted. "I was the only one that voted against you." She said, and disappeared. She was followed by Zane.

Blake rocked back and froth on his heels.

Link sighed. "I want to protect you, I want to hold you, I want to.... kiss you." His voice was quiet.

Cora felt a flood of relief wash over her. Joanna frowned at Cleo, and disappeared with Darren to the underworld.

As soon as they were gone, Cora ran towards Blake, and hit him in the arm, hard. Then she wrapped him in a tight hug. "Thank you," She said quietly. "Thank you so much."

Laurinda wasn't sure if she had heard him right. Her heard was pounding hard against her chest, making her feel sicker than she already did. She opened her eyes suddenly, looking up at him.
