The big city.

"Is anyone here?" Carlisle asked. He waited patiently after that.

Sable grabbed her wrist and twisted it, so much that even Raven flinched. She ran forward and pushed him away with more force than one would think possible for someone of her size and stature.

Ashlyn nodded. "I know," she said quietly. "But...at least I'm close to home now." Suddenly she looked at him. "Mason, can you take me there?" She asked softly. "Home, I mean. My house." She sat up suddenly, and coughed. Blood covered the bedspread now. "Please."

Melanie had to resist the urge to scream, and disappeared. She reappeared in Hope's house, invisible to her, trying not to think about what she was going to try and do.

Cora reached up and knocked again, louder this time, to annoy her brother more than anything else.

"I'm helping," Lee said simply, but her voice was pained. As Andrew looked around, he realized why. he was staring at his house. What was once his house. There he was, a small boy laughing and running around in the front yard, playing. He suddenly grew tense, and Lee had to struggle not to look at him.

"Is this some kind of trick?" He asked. "Is that meant to be Andrew?"

Mason nodded, and touched her hand, suddenly she was laying back in her bed. "Want me to see if your dad is sober enough to come in here?" He asked.

Blake opened the door. "You every heard of two seconds?" He asked, frowning.

Jade screamed just as a snap was heard, and held her wrist to her chest, it was broken.

"Hello, Blake." Carlisle said politely, he had decided to longer be rude to the Redbird male as long as he could stand it.

Cora laughed, and shook her head. "No, actually, I haven't. I blame my younger brother. He never taught me any manners, even though he acted like he was older most of the time," she said. She smiled at him.

Ashlyn shook her head quickly. "No!" She said, perhaps a bit too quickly. She shook her head. "No. I don't want to see him. I just didn't want to be there when David got back," she mumbled. Blood bubbled in her mouth now, making it hard to speak, and harder to breathe. she sat up suddenly, gasping and coughing.

Sable looked as though he might have remembered something then, but it was gone just as fast. Raven touched Jade's arm, shaking her head sadly. "You need to go to a hospital," she said softly.

Melanie made her way around the house silently, thinking. Her mind was racing faster than she could comprehend.

Lee shook her head. "It's not a trick," She said quietly. "That is him."

Andrew's hands were shaking in the fists at his sides, his eyes on the younger him as the scene changed, showing him washing the clothes in the lake, and again, showing him having dinner with his dad, another of him laughing. He turned away as it came to the night his father died. It showed the young him, hiding under the bed, and then the blood. All of the blood.

"Stop!" Andrew shouted. Lee shook her head sadly.

Blake nodded at Carlisle, seemingly having nothing to say to him. He frowned at Cora. "I think that needs to be reversed. You never thought me any manners." He said.

Mason nodded slowly. "Okay." He said softly.

Jade nodded, slowly. "Yes." She placed her house key in her pocket, and looked at the girl. "Please come with me?" She asked. "Why are you here?" She added.

Hope was sitting in her bed reading.

Tyler was frowning. "Is there a reason you are showing this to me, to us?" He asked.

"Neither of you is as bad as the other thinks they are," Lee said simply. "You both have the same goal here, at least from what I can see."

She watched as the scene changed, and showed Andrew growing up, and the slow changes in him, the determination he had to find out something about his father. It then changed, showing him much older and finding the papers, going out and getting attacked on the road, then brought into the town by her mother. It showed her taking care of him, and the way he acted, the softer side of him as time went on. Andrew looked angrier than usual, if that was possible.

"They sent me...to protect a human girl, was alll Melody said. I never imagined--" She choked, tears in her eyes as she looked away. Sable was still there, standing next to her, but invisible to Jade. She looked away quickly.

Cora's smile was gone, but she quickly let it return. "Can I come in?" She asked. "I just thought I'd see how you were doing.." She said quietly.

Melanie wandered up the stairs finally, and pushed open the door to Hope's room, praying that Warren wouldnt' be there.

Ashlyn sucked in a quick breathe, and looked around the room silently. "I'm sorry," She said quietly, feeling light headed against. "I didn't--" her eyes widened, and she cut herself off.

Carlisle, having nothing to say, absent mindedly intertwined his fingers around hers until he found her wedding ring and turned it lightly. He hummed a few notes and then remembered where he was and immediately stopped.

Tyler was frowning, but he said nothing.

Jade closed her eyes. "Oh." She said softly, and opened the door of her apartment. It was in one of the worse part of town, but that was the best she could do. She walked down the stairs, holding her wrist to her chest.

Blake opened the door widely for both of them. He frowned at Carlisle. "At least you can keep yourself entertained." He said.

Warren was in his own room, his eyes closed. He didn't eve noticed the pale light coming off his pendent.

"What's wrong?" Mason asked.

Cora ignored him and walked inside. "I was just wondering how you're doing, "she said, glancing around. "Where's Ava?" She asked, glancing back at him. She smirked, and smiled. "What did you do?" She asked, in a teasing tone.

Melanie took a deep breathe before walking over to Hope. She placed a hand on the older woman's arm, closing her eyes. It took all of her strength to conjure up the feelings she had hoped to convey. The feelings of helplessness, hopelessness, a sense of despair and longing. She made her remember the time Warren was gone, the way she had felt then. She was trying to send her feelings, ones that she would want only to end.

Raven walked next to her, invisible to all humans. She was silent, trying not to look behind her, where she heard Sable's footsteps.

The scenes showed Andrew slowly getting better, until finally it came to one that made Lee flinch in pain. It was the night she had gone to his house, and he had lost control, broken her wrist. Andrew clenched his teeth together tightly, looking away. Next it showed him the night he left. The angry words Lee had thrown at him. Then he was gone, and it showed his death. Lee had to struggle to hold back her own tears. Then it stopped, and blackness surrounded them. The next place they appeared was unfamiliar to Andrew; it was Tyler's home.

Ashlyn shook her head. "Nothing," She said quietly, and slowly lay back down. She looked around her room, that felt so familiar yet so far away. She felt bad for a moment, about what her father would find in here later. She shook away the thoughts, looking over at Mason and trying to study his face. She never wanted to forget it.

Carlisle had to remind himself of the promise he had made himself, never hurt Cora. Sadly, despite how much he wanted to retort he knew that by being rude to Blake he was indirectly hurting Cora. He bit back his verbal spars towards Blake and simply followed Cora in, staying silent was his best route at the moment.

Tyler was frowning deeply by the end, but he still said nothing. He blinked in surprised when they were standing in the Redbird's home. The three-year-old him was sleeping in his father's lap, Blake's father's, Cora's, Sally's, Layla's, their father, his bright red hair was falling in his face, and his small hand grasped the older man's shirt tightly. Layla was sitting off to the side, she was two, braiding Cora's hair, Sally was also asleep. His father looked at his mother, in her arms was a small redhead. "What is his name?" The man asked. "Blake, I want to name him after you." The woman said, she was wearing a smile, but her tone revealed a feeling of unhappiness. "Marlys, what is the matter?" The man asked, noticing this. "Five, is a lot, but do we have to...?" Her voice trailed off, and she glanced to the sleeping Tyler. "We can not raise five." The man said. "Bull to kill Tyler?" She asked. He shook his head. "It's all we can do." He said. The woman started to cry. "Please Blake...." She cried. He shook his head. "Isn't there something, anything?" She begged. "The Hearts!" She suddenly exclaimed. "Can't we give him to them?"

Then the scene faded.

The next thing he saw was Kay, his 'sister' looking down at him. She already had two kids, Matt and Joie. She picked him up, and set him an older woman's lap. "This is your mother." She said. "NO!" Tyler yelled. "No, no, no." He kept crying.

Blake was smirking slightly at the fact he had nothing to say. Blake glanced at Cora. "I don't know." He said. "She is free to come and go." He said. He frowned. "I think she is in the meadow...." His voice trailed off as he recalled something.

The book fell out of her hands, her eyes widened, and she was crying.

Warren pushed the door open then, and frowned at Melanie. "What are you doing!?"

Jade kept looking around, as if this place frightened her. She sighed in relief when she finally made it to the hospital.

Mason touched her cheek. "Is this how you felt when I died?" He asked.

"I don't know," Ashlyn said quietly. "How are you feeling?" She asked. Even as she spoke her vision was fading. She struggled to focus on his face.

Cora frowned, but quickly shook it off. "How are you? How's Link?" She asked, smiling at him. SHe kept one hand in Carlisle's.

Andrew frowned; he understood what they had done, yet something about it bothered him to his very core. He refused to show this, and reamined silent. He didn't even realize that Lee had slid her hand into his.

Melanie ignored him, and only increased the feelings. She was feeling weak, but she only pushed herself harder. She made her feel hopeless, like Warren wasn't even there now.

Raven became visible now, mumbling to herself. She opened the door for Jade, struggling not to look Sable in the eyes.

"Alone." He said. "Scared." He added. He shook his head. "There is no words to explain it." He said.

"Fine." He said."Weird." He added, about Link. "Hold on." He said, and disappeared. He reappeared in the meadow. "Ava?"

The next scenes were about how he would hide from his 'parents', how he refused to eat. and how he tricked into believing they were his parents, forgetting all about the his true family. The next scene would a familiar one for Lee. Blake and Cora agureing in the fields. How he yelled at them because they had made Elliot cried, how he had lead her home. The next few scenes were ones Elliot never knew about, how lonely he felt at 'home', how alone. There was a few on how he looked up to Blake's dad.

Then there was Blake Sr.'s death. He had been standing in the crowd, starring as they hung a man that was only trying to feed his family. The pain was easy to see across his face. Unlike Andrew, Tyler would never have been able to get revenge, that man that killed him was only doing his job.

Hope cried out, she was being pushed to the edge, and she was suddenly falling. She reached into her nightstand, where a gun was always kept, just uncase.

"Mom!" Warren suddenly yelled, wrapping his arms around her, trying to push all those thoughts away.

Jade sighed, signed in, and waited, she was looking down at her wrist. "Is he here?" She asked.

"No," Raven lied, through pursed lips. "He's not." Sable was looking at her, eyes blank, and she flinched and looked down.

"Then yes," Ashlyn coughed. "But you forgot broken." She sat up suddenly, coughing up more blood. She lay back, trying not to cry out with pain. She stared up at the ceiling, gripping the sheets of her bed tightly. Her muscles relaxed suddenly, and she turned her head to look at him. "Mason.." She said quietly. "I love you. I'm sorry."

Cora frowned, and watched as he disappeared. She turned to Carlisle slowly, saying nothing yet.

Ava was laying on the ground, unmoving. She was awake now, eyes open wide, trying to catch a breathe. She hated this; she hated being so scared. She saw shapes in the dark, swirling around and confusing her. She thought she heard a voice, but couldn't move to see; fear paralyzed her every muscle.

Melanie closed her eyes tightly, and kept her hand on Hope's arm, squeezing tightly. She kept the feelings, the thoughts, coming, trying to make her not even realize Warren was there. The helplessness, fear, sadness, the sense of being alone.

Andrew was watching with limited interest, at leas the tried to make it seem that way. He looked at the young Elliot silently, and finally realized that Lee had his hand. He pulled away quickly, and looked back at the scenes with a silent, impassive face.

Carlisle smiled at Cora, slightly happy Blake had left for the time being. He resisted the urge to hold her and tightened his grip on her hand, "Hey..." He whispered.

"I'm sorry." Jade said softly, looking down. She was unsure what to do.

Mason touched her cheek. "I-" he began, but was cut short by a sudden sudden sound. He glance back at her, and opened his mouth to try again.

Blake walked toward her. "Oh, Ava." He said quietly, bending down and picking up the girl, disappearing. Moments later he reappeared in the living room, and laid her on the sofa.

"Please stop." Warren begged. "Please." Tears were in his eyes, for once he wasn't sure what to do, he didn't want to hurt the girl he loved, but he didn't want Hope to die.

That's when the gun went off. Warren was covered in Hope's blood.

The scene changed again. Him and Elliot was sitting in the rain. He wasn't looking so well, and she was begging him to go home, but he refused. He wouldn't leave until she went, she kept insisting she was fine. He still wouldn't go. He knew better then to believe she was fine.

It changed again. He was sleeping in the hay, his face red with fever. People were calling his name, yet he could not answer. Little Elliot was freaking out, digging through the hay. She cried his name when she found him.

It changed again, again, showing different parts of his illness, when just wouldn't wake up. The it went to another. Elliot was standing near the bed. "No, you have to drink this." She said, but it was to late. He had already fallen back into his unnatural sleep. Elliot took the greenish liquid, and put some in her mouth, and pressed her lips to his, helping him drink it.

Tyler was frowning slightly. "Why don't I remember this part?" He asked, himself.

Then they came to the scene where Elliot was yelling at Joie and Matt about the blood letting.

It change changed again, Elliot was laying in the fields, looking depressed. He came up beside her, and she didn't believe it was him. A ghost she thought.

Andrew had to smirk slightly, watching the younger Elliot. Her stubborness, her fire, sure hadn't gone out in the years since then. He blinked in surprise as she watched the young girl help the young Tyler drink the liquid, but he was silent. He looked around as it changed once more, eyes falling on the young Elliot, unbelieving that the Tyler in front of her was real. He was silent still, though his grip on Lee's hand had unknowingly tightened.

Melanie pulled back, eyes wide in sudden horror. She turned away quickly, knowing that her job was done here. She closed her eyes tightly, struggling to hold back her tears. Blood was on her hands, where she had been standing too close. She gave Warren one last glance before disappearing.

She reappeared in front of the goddess. "Happy now?" She asked, struggling to keep her voice even.

Cora smiled at Carlisle, and was about to say something when Blake reappeared with Ava. Her eyes widened slightly, though the girl seemed unharmed. She just looked...asleep. Ava didn't move, but she seemed fine. Cora turned to Blake, her eyes full of unspoken questions.

"For what?" Raven asked quietly, as a nurse came over to them. She knew she looked nothing like Jade, but she could pass for her sister perhaps, by lying. She touched her arm lightly, to get her attention, and followed after the nurse. She was still struggling not to look behind her, at Sable. She heard his footsteps.

Ashlyn wanted to know what he was going to say. She wanted to find out; she didn't want to die. But as he stopped, she felt her heartbeat slowing. The world around her was fading, and she reached out and grasped his hand tightly in hers, her grip surprsingly strong.

She felt herself falilng then, and could grab onto nothing to stop herself. She felt a split second of fear, but it was gone just as fast. Her eyelids fluttered closed, her grip on his hand loosening. She tried to pull out, but nothing was working. The noise around her slowly dulled, and the metallic taste of blood in her mouth didn't seem to bother her anymore. Her hand fell out of his, and her body fell limp. She allowed the darkness to overtake her, though she struggled to form words with her mouth, but couldn't. Everything faded, and she allowed herself to be taken under. Her breathing stopped; she was dead.

Carlisle looked down at Ava and then at Blake, his face showed nothing though his brain wracked with questions about the angels current state.

"She is fine." He said, as if he could read their minds. "She is just scared of the dark." He said. "She tends to freak out when left alone in the dark." He said softly, brushing Ana's hair out of her face. He looked up at them. "Is there a reason you came, just for a friendly visit?"

It went through a few more scenes. Such as times he he saw Elliot spying on the redbirds, how sad he was when he saw how she looked at Blake. Then when he went to look for after she moved, how he failed.

Then a few scenes of him older were shown, closer to the end of his death. They showed how the boy who wouldn't hurt a fly suddenly started to get mad over little things. Then it came to his death. His head had been hurting lately. And he was angered a lot more. Tally wouldn't leave him alone that day, she was eight, and she wanted to play. She didn't seem to understand what go away meant. He turned around and glared at her. He didn't realize what he did before he did it. He snapped the little girl's neck.

Tyler stepped away. "Please, no more." He begged.

It went on. Clarie ran in to the room. She screamed and picked up the little girl. "Tyler!" She yelled. Tears ran down her cheeks. The scene changed. It showed Matt and Clarie lying to save Tyler's life. Then is showed Tyler sitting all alone, near the river, where he and Elliot would always sit. He had a knife. He had gotten away with murder. He killed Tally, he felt guilty, he should be dead, as was the price for murder. He ended his own life.

"Yes." The goddess said, happily.

Warren sat down on the floor, holding Hope's body. He was crying.

Jade followed slowly, not looking up. "I feel like this is my fault." She said softly.

"No!" Mason yelled. "No, I love you." He said, through she couldn't hear him. He suddenly stood up, and disappeared, he reappeared in David's home.

"No reason, really," Cora said quietly, watching her brother was a mild curiousity in her eyes. "Since you came yesterday, but things weren't exactly....good," she finally seemed to decide on a word.

Andrew was silent until it all ended. Soon they were standing in Jake's cave again. Andrew thrust his hand from Lee's grasp wordlessly. Lee kept her gaze on him for a moment before taking a step back, saying nothing yet. neither did Andrew.

"It's not," Raven said quietly. "I was there. I should have been able to stop it." She walked faster to keep up with the nurse on her short legs.

David opened his front door, and fumbled in the dark for the ligthtswitch. "Ashlyn?" he called. He frowned, and closed the door behind him.

Melanie nodded simply. "Then I'll be going now," She said stiffly, and turned to leave the room. She wouldn't go back to Warren. She couldn't face him ever again, and didn't intend to, either.

Carlisle was silent, still not sure what to say. He held Cora's hand tightly before turning to her, "Should I go? I can wait outside..." he offered

Blake nodded. "I only wanted to see how you were yesterday. What exactly was going on?" He asked, not looking at Carlisle.

Tyler looked at Lee. "What was that for?" He asked, frowning.

"Then we can share the blame." Jade said softly, watching the small girl.

Mason was sitting on the sofa, his feet propped up on the coffee table. His arms were crossed. One would think he was relaxed, but no, his face held an expression of pure anger, and he was glaring at David, and he was visible. Ashlyn's blood covered his shirt, he had hugged Ashlyn's body before he had left. "She isn't here. But you look in your room." He said, a deep frown on his face, knowing he would see her blood staining the blankets.

The nurse led the two into a room, and a few moments later a doctor came in. He frowned. "What happened here?" He asked, gesturing to her wrist. Raven looked at a loss for words; she hadn't thought of that.

"You two shouldn't hate each other," Lee said simply. "It's not healthy, and neither of you is as bad as the other one thinks. I already told you this." Andrew was looking away from her, hands clenched into tight fists at his sides.

Cora sighed. "Apparently the goddess decided that Isaac, his dad, should be his demon, and his mom his angel. It was...a mess," She hedged on, shaking her head. "But they're gone now, though I can't say why." She shook her head at Carlisle's question, gripping his hand tighter.

David stared at him, tenseing up immediatly. "Who are you?" He demanded, grabbing for something out of his pocket. "Why are you in my house?? Whose blood is that, and how do you know Ashlyn??" he demanded.

Carlisle held back his smile and it came out as a small boyish grin.
