The big city.

Laurinda shook her head. "Nope," She said, stretching her legs out on the grass.

Sable smiled slightly and nodded. "Do you have a..uhm...swim suit?" He asked.

"Why should you?" Raven asked quietly, looking up at him, tilting her head slightly in confusion.

Cora shook her head, and ran past her and up the stairs. "Carlisle!" She called, opening the door to the bedroom. Nothing. She ran back downstairs, a deep frown on her features.

Rose followed her quickly the whole time, "Have you seen Damon recently?" she asked suddenly.

"I thought Rose could change you, guess not." Carlisle spat.

"I'm a demon. I can't be changed." Damon spat, "Unlike you, you are such a fool."

"Good." Lance said.

"I can get one." Jade said. "Without Melody's help." She added.

Aden sighed, and shook his head.

Laurinda smiled slightly at him, and unconciously moved closer.

Sable laughed. "Okay," He said.

"What?" Raven asked. "What is it?" She asked.

Cora frowned. "Yes..." She said slowly. "Carlisle punched him."

"I don't desvere you." He said quietly.

Jade smiled. "I'll meet you on the beach." She said, truning around to go get the swim suit.

Lance looked up as a few stars appeared.

Laurinda lay back on the grass, looking up at the sky. "It's so pretty," She whispered. "This is the one good thing about not having a roof. You always have a view of the stars," She said quietly.

Sable nodded, and disappeared. He reappeared on the beach.

Raven suddenly stood up. "Why would you try to make me fall in love with you, then?" She demanded. "If you were just going to say that you didn't deserve me??"

Ashlyn was on her way home, Chip beside her. He had been strangely silent. She turned to him once they stood in front of the door to her apartment.

"What's up?" She asked. "You've been acting all weird lately."

"We need to talk, Ashlyn," he said quietly. Ashlyn frowned.

"But we have to do it out here. My brother is in there, and I don't want him to hear it," she said.

"That's just it," Chip said. "I've noticed something. I don't know where you grew up, or how, but I can tell you like him. And not like you should like a brother."

Ashlyn froze, like a deer caught in headlights. "N--No," she stammered. "You don't understand."

"No, you're right, I don't!" Chip said. "I don't know who he is, but that's just sick," he said. "Did you ever even like me?!" He demanded. Ashlyn nodded, tears blurring her vision.

Chip sighed. "Come back to me if you have a real explanation," he whispered, and leaned down and kissed her on the cheek, very close to her lips. "Bye, Ash," he said quietly, and left.

"It's called falling asleep in your backyard." Lance joked, he had done that before.

Jade appeared moments later. She was wearing a blue one pieace, and broadshorts over that. She wasnt compleatly conforable, but it was better then last time.

Mason sighed and followed Chip. A few moments later he made himself visable. "Chip."

Rose raised an eyebrow at Cora, "He wouldn't..." she thought out loud, "He wouldn't dare!" she was getting furious. "DAMON!" she shouted loudly.

"It appears someone wants me." Damon said to Carlisle, "Your wife is probably having a cow. I'll be back baby brother." he said before disappearing and reappearing next to Rose. He looked worried, "Need something?" he asked them both but he looked at Cora.

Chip was at the bottom of the stairs when he turned to face Mason. He sighed.

"Yes?" He asked, trying to keep his tone polite.

Cora looked at Damon, fury written in her eyes. "Where is she?!" She demanded, taking a step towards him.

Raven turned away, tears filling her eyes. "Does that mean you don't want me to?" She asked softly.

Sable smiled at her. "Ready?" He asked.

Laurinda smiled slightly at him. She closed her eyes for a moment.

"I'm not entirely sure who you are talking about. Did something happen?" Damon asked, his face was sincere but his eyes told the truth.

"I'm not her brother." He said quickly. "Thats just what we have to tell people, I'm more like her gurdain." He said. "She's in danger, you know,"

"I didn't say that." Aden said.

Jade nodded happily.

Cora glared at him, resisting the urge to let a few colorful words slip out. "Carlisle!" She shouted. "He's gone. Where is he?!" She demanded, voice rising with each word. She refused to fall for his lies.

"Really," Chip said, folding his arms across his chest. "From what?" He asked. It was obvious that he didn't believe him.

Sable smiled and offered her a hand.

Raven wiped her eyes with the back of her hand, shrugging and keeping her back to him.

Damon smiled slightly before disappearing. He returned to Carlisle who was trying to find away out, "That's not wise, Carlie." he said before grabbing him by the back of the shirt and hurling him across the cave until he hit a wall. He crumpled on the floor weakly, barely moving. "Want to see your wife again?" Damon asked. Carlisle groaned in pain as he nodded. "I'll be back then!" Damon said with a smile. He left once more and went back to Cora. "Do you really want to get to him?" he asked her.

"Are you that blind?" Mason shouted, quietly. "You don't see any of the many scars of her body?"

"I do want you to love me." Aden said. "Because I'm slowly falling for you."

Chip stayed silent. He had, but every time he asked, she changed the subject.

"You still didn't answer my question," He said, his voice low. "From what? From who?"

Raven looked up quickly, her breathe caught in her throat. She was smiling.

"Of course I do!" Cora shouted. "Where is he?!" She demanded, taking another step towards him, hands balled into tight fists at her sides.

Sable led her into the water, not once letting go of her hand.

Laurinda closed her eyes again. She had fallen asleep.

Damon smiled wickedly before grabbing her wrist and leaving with her. He released her the second they reached the cave and leaned against a wall.

Rose tried to stop him but was unable too.

Carlisle still laid on the ground, pain surging through his whole body.

"A very twisted person who wouldn't mind seeing her dead." He said. "A group a guys from her olde school, who dead set on revenge, they even broke her ribs once."

Jade followeded quietly.

Lance leaned over and kissed her forehead, then stood up. "Good bye."

Cora pulled out of his grasp quickly ,and ran over to Carlisle. She knelt down next to him, not even noticing their surroundings yet. "Are you okay??" She asked quietly. She could tell he wasn't.

Chip flinched, and looked away. "But even if you're not her brother, she still likes you, you know," He said quietly. "I can't be with someone who's practically in love with someone else. I've seen the way she looks at you, or the way she looks when she talks about you."

Laurinda turned on her side, and mumbled something, but didn't wake up. She did shiver lightly, though.

Sable soon stood in waist high water, and looked at her, smiling. "Same as before?" He asked.

Raven finally turned to face him, her face lit up again. She grinned at him.

"I'm fine now." Carlisle told her, he grabbed one of her hands lightly and looked up at her. He then tried to get up only to fall flat once more, a loud groan of pain left his lips. "I think I might have broken a few things." he muttered, his throbbing rib cage was proof of that.

Mason shook his head. "And I can't return her feelings, nor will I ever. She is my best freind, and like a sister to me. And it is my job to protect her."

"Sure!" Jade said, her smile seemed to be permently glued to her face.

Lance took off his jacket, and put it over her before he left.

Cora held his hand tightly, and slowly stood up, glaring at Damon. "Why would you do this?!" She demanded. "He's your brother!"

Chip sighed. "I still can't," He said simply. "Not until she's really over you."

Sable smiled slightly, and helped her onto her back, keeping his hands under her and helping her to stay up.

Laurinda unconciously pulled the jacket tighter around her, and fell into a deeper sleep.

Damon smiled, "I killed him whilest human. Killing him as a demon isn't much harder for me. Actually, it's easier!" he laughed. "Now I hadn't planned on killing you but that's just a bonus."

Carlisle was growing angry, this made his muscles tighten making him feel more pain. He winced before deciding anger would do nothing now and have up. He closed his eyes and laid there weakly.

Mason nodded, and stepped back, turned and went, the door opened before he even got near it.

Jade did exatly as he told her to do last time.

"You're twisted!" Cora shouted. "You can't honestly call youself his brother! You're nothing but a monster!" She yelled.

Chip binked in surprise as he saw this, but just kept walking.

Ashlyn was sitting on her bed, curled up in a small ball.

Sable let go slowly, ready to catch her if she couldn't do it.

Mason sat down next to her.

Somehow Jade manage to stay up for a few minutes before slipping under.
