The big city.

Aden tried not to smile. He knew she didn't mean it in a bad way. He was now regretting saying he could make her fall for him. Because he was falling for her as well, and he didn't desrve her.

Jade sighed happily, and closed her eyes.

Raven looked at him, then her eyes quickly darted away, at the ground, her cheeks bright red. She didn't let go of his hand, however. Great. So it had worked; she just hoped he was as nice as he seemed....she felt....comfortable, around him.

Laurinda nodded silently. After a few moments she set the bag aside, and pulled her knees up to her chest, looking up at the setting sun again.

Sable closed his eyes as well.

Cora smiled slightly back, and took his hand in hers. She went to work cleaning the small cuts on his knuckles silently.

"Thank you, love." Carlisle said. He flinched every once and awhile but other than that remained still. "Sorry if I scared you down there..." he finally said, "He needed good reminder that I'm no longer the man he killed."

Lance reached out and took her hand. "Be careful." He said, letting it go, and standing up.

Jade opened one eye, and kissed his cheek when she saw he had his close.

Aden frowned. "What have you been doing?"

Raven shrugged. "Climbing trees, swinging, hanging out with Sable...anything, really," She said.

Cora shrugged, and soon released his hand. "All better," She said quietly.

Laurinda nodded, and looked up at him when he stood up. "You're going??" She asked.

Sable opened his eyes and flashed her a small smile.

Carlisle gave her a grateful smile, he touched her cheek lightly and then intertwined his fingers in hers lightly. "I'll try not to lose my temper again." he said, realizing that was second bad thing he had done today, he thought the likeliness be was going to stay human becoming slim.

"Do you wan me to stay?" He asked.

Jade smiled again. "How's Raven?"

Aden laughed. "And you say you aren't a kid." He teased.

Laurinda's pride took over, and she folded her arms across her chest, scoffing. "Only if you want to," She finally mumbled.

Sable's face fell, but only for a moment. "She's good," He said finally.

Cora nodded. It seemed as though she were having the same thoughts as him, for her smile was gone now.

Raven smiled slightly. "I'm not," She protested, but she grinned as she said it.

Hymn just kept walking, not even caring where she went. She needed to clear her mind, and that wasn't going to happen unless she was alone, and far, far away from Chris.

Carlisle frowned and seperated his hand from hers, 'Must be better...' he thought as he walked out of the bathroom and into their room.

Lance frowned. "I only want to stay if you want me too." He said, his pride taking over.

"Sable," Jade said. "Is something the matter?" She asked.

Aden laughed. "It's not a bad thing, I wish I was still a kid at times." He closed his eyes. "I haven't been a kid since I was thridteen."

"I do," Laurinda mumbled, barely audible.

Cora followed him silently, eyes on the ground.

"What do you mean?" Raven asked quietly. "Since you were thirteen."

Carlisle set a hand under her chin and forced her to look at him. "I've been good since this started. And that will continue once it ends." he told her, "Plus, can they really make me a demon for hitting one that offended me by talking to you, let alone threating you?" he asked.

Lance sat back down. "Was that so hard?" He asked.

Jade frowned. "Okay." SHe said quietly.

Aden opened his eyes. "That is when I became of age. thriten was the age of adulthood in my time." He smirked. "I died at nineteen, so I was about half way through my life, in my time we were lucky to live long then 42."

Laurinda shrugged. "Maybe," She mumbled, looking forward.

Sable sighed. "I'm worried about Raven," he said quietly.

Cora shrugged, but found herself unable to look away. She just shrugged again, face impassive.

Raven frowned slightly. "Oh," she said quietly. He must have lived a long time ago, she realized. She remembered she still had his hand and quickly let go, looking at the ground.

"Cora... I..." Carlisle tried to say somthing but couldn't. He stood there looking at her sadly.

Lance smiled at her. "If you want something, just ask."

Jade held his hand tighter. "Why?"

Aden smiled at her.

Cora finally looked away, and took a step back. She walked down the stairs silently.

"Aden," Sable mumbled simply.

"I don't," Laurinda said, glancing back at him. "I just...want you to stay. For a little while longer."

Raven sat down on the grass. "You won," She said quietly.

Carlisle watched her go and with every part of him wanted to follow her but his legs didn't move forward. Instead, his knees locked and he sank to the floor, "Cora..." he whispered.

"Is Carlie having problems?" Damon asked, he was sitting on their bed watching his brother.

"I..." Carlisle tried but no remark came out.

"Is he suddenly mute too?" Damon teased.

"Just..." Again nothing more.

"What would she do if her lovely husband went missing for a few days? Would she think you left her? Would she think someone took you?" Damon asked.

"She..."

"Let's find out!" Damon mused as he crossed the room to his brother and grabbed him by the collar. He then disappeared with him.

"I need to go soon." He said. "I have to clean the kicthen." He oaused. "Again."

"Do you love me?" Aden asked quietly.

"But it's not only that. It's that she....wants to be around him," Sable mumbled, looking forward now.

Raven shrugged. "I'm not really sure," She said queitly. "I mean, I really, really, really like you," She mumbled, cheeks bright red. "But I don't really know what love is, at least not that kind..." She said quietly, trailing off at the end.

Laurinda nodded. She looked up as the sun slowly sank past the horizon, and darkness overtook them.

Cora sat down on the couch silently, staring forward blankly. She didn't know what to do, what to think. She shook her head, closing her eyes tightly.

Damon appeared in a cave. He pushed his brother to the ground roughly and gave him a wicked grin, "Get comfortable. You aren't going anywhere." he said.

Rose wondered around the house looking for Carlisle before finally giving up, she walked into the living room and looked at Cora, "Have you seen Carlisle?" she asked her, worry crossed her face.

Aden shook his head. "Then I haven't won."

"Is he hurting her?" Jade asked.

Lance smiled at her.

Cora frowned and looked up. "He's upstairs....isn't he?" She asked, standing up.

Raven glanced up at him, nodding slowly.

Laurinda glanced back at him then, returning his smile with her own half-hearted one.

Sable shook his head. "No....." He said quietly.

"I didn't see him..." Rose shook her head, "You sure he didn't walk out? He doesn't usually disappear like this..."

Carlisle lie on his stomach on the cave floor. "Where are we?" he muttered.

"That is of no concern." Damon said, "In about 10 hours the tide will rise so high in the ocean this cave will flood, I hope you can swim well."

"Why?"

"Because if I kill you then it will torture your wife! And that sounds like fun right now!" Damon said gleefully.

"What did she do?"

"She tried to get Rose to hate me."

"It didn't work..." Carlisle muttered.

"Regardless, I'm a demon Carlisle! I can do what I want!" Damon shouted

Aden frowned. "I'm still not giveing up." He said. "But I should."

Jade suddenly stood up, and pulled him to his feet. "Lets go swimming now." She said, trying to get his mind off of this mess.
