James wasn't paying atention ethier.

Lance sighed. "Lulu."

Carlisle smiled slightly and moved closer to her body. He had one hand on her cheek still, along her jaw bone. The other hand found it's way around her waist, holding her even closer if that was even possible.

"Like you would want to help," Lenora sanpped, but soon she felt the ground under her feet. She set Bailey down on dry land once they were there.

Laurinda looked away, falling silent.

Cora pulled back after a few moments, smiling slightly at him. "I missed you," She said quietly.

Alice had seen Bailey being pulled back to shore and ran over to her. She glared at Layla for a moent then looked back at Bailey. "are you ok?", she asked.

Bailey nodded but coughed a few times. "I'm ok", she said.

Layla rolled her eyes at Lenora. "I wasn't going to do anything to the kid anyway!", she snapped back, "besides if I had wanted to do anything to her I would've done it sooner!"She added. "and even Iara probably wouldn't have let me do anything..." she mumbled under her breathe.

"I missed you, too" Carlisle muttered. He kissed her forehead gently before moving his hand from her cheek and loosening the grip he had on her waist.

LAnce sighed. "Lulu, you can stay as long as you want, leave when you please, come back later."

Laurinda nodded slowly. "You know, if anyone else called me Lulu, I'd hurt them," She joked lightly, but the tense atmosphere was still there.

Lenora suddenly smirked. "Going soft, Layla?" She asked.

Cora stifled a yawn, and smiled at him instead.

Layla shrugged. "does it matter if I am going soft?", she asked plainly. nomarlly she would've yelled about being called soft but now she didn't care.

Bailey went back out into the water against but stayed close to shore.

Alice went out with her this time.

Carlisle chuckled slightly and removed his hand from her waist and walked over to the bed. He laid down ad pat the bed next to him, "Care to join me?" he asked.

"I don't know if I could see that." Lance joked.

Laurinda suddenly frowned. "There might be some things you don't know about me," she said quietly. "I'm a thief, though I suppose you already knew that from when I broke into your house, huh?" She asked.

Lenora rolled her eyes, folding her arms across her chest and looking away.

Cora nodded and layed down next to him. She was so tired; she had hardly slept at all the days she was gone. She closed her eyes, and was asleep almost immediatly.

Ava was still sitting outside silently.

Hymn was wandering the underworld again, looking for Chris, calling his name.

Lance frowned. "Yes, I know."

Chris was in the darkest parts. He didn't want to be found.

Laurinda saw his frown, and looked away. "It's not like I had much of a choice, you know," She protested. "I would have been dead long ago if I hadn't."

Hymn pulled her cloak up over her head to hide her tears. She was angry at herself, angry at Chris, and angry at everything. She turned back to where she had come from, Chris' cave, though she knew it would hurt mroe then. She walked over to the wall and looked at the roses. She turned away quickly, and walked out. She headed to the other one, the one where he slept. He wasn't there, either.

She walked over to the bed, and sat down on the edge silently, her hood still covering her face. She didn't understand why he wouldn't come see her.

She lay down on the bed, curling up under the covers. She closed her eyes tightly, trying to hold back the tears. She was failing.

Lance frowned. "I understand."

Carlisle set an arm gently around her sleeping body. He yawned widely and began to hum softly as he finally was able to sleep peacefully. His humming continued as he slept but they were nearly imaudible unless one paid close attention to it.

Laurinda glared at him. "Then why are you frowning?" She asked. "I don't understand," She said, folding her arms across her chest and keeping her glare at him.

Hymn soon allowed her tears to come, and fell asleep, though her face looked pained even as she slept.

Layla walked away and went back into the water as well, but this time she was away from Alice and Bailey. Once Layla was at a spot she couldn't reach very well, she smirked and went under water but made it look like she was still going in the other direction. She swam towards Bailey and grabbed her legs and pulled her under and swam far out with her.

Bailey screamed in suprise when she was pulled under. She was fighting to get free because she couldn't open her eyes under water and couldn't see, who had her or where they were going.

((hehe this is fun, I'm having Layla play a joke on everyone, don't let Lenora find her just yet Sarah))

"I understand." He said. "But I don't like it.

"That makes two of us," Laurinda mumbled, relaxing and falling silent again. She couldn't believe she had shown him her scars. She had never done that before.

Lance put a had on her head. "Is there anything else you need?"

Laurinda pushed his hand off. "Yeah," she said quietly. "Don't treat me like a little kid," she said. "I'm not little."

Alice was looking around nerviously for Bailey to pop back up somwhere but never saw her come back up. She dove under the water to look for her but had no luck because the water was to murky for her to see clearly.

Layla was far away from the shore now and came above water again behind the rocks that were on the other side of the beach to let Bailey get air. She pu ther hand over her mouth first though. "Don't say or make any noise, I'm not going to hurt you I promise", she whispered then took her hand away, she peeked around the rock to see what the others were doing.

Bailey stayed quiet for now, but didn't like being this close to Layla.

James looked at Alice.

"No, your not a kid." He said, putting his hand back on her head. "Your my friend."

Lenora suddenly realized that Layla and Bailey were gone. She mumbled something under her breathe, and looked around.

Laurinda looked up at him. "You're too tall," She whined.

"And your to small." Lance mused.
