The Redbird's story.

Elliot was watching the man whom she didn't know now, wondering who he was.

'Wait....could he be the man Mickey's marrying?' she thought, glancing up at him again.

Mickey looked at the man, and smiled slightly. "Hello Roan. I'm ready to leave when you are." She said.

Matt glared at Patrick. " 'Cause you have no bussiness being here! Do you know the pain you caused my cousin? LEAVE!"

Patrick did a mocking bow, before leaveing with a scowl. He didn't want to Matt anger, his anger hurt physicly.

Elliot watched Patrick go then looked at Tyler, wondering if he was going to say goodbye to Mickey as well.

Mickey smiled at Tyler. "Be a good boy, no more sleeping in the hay." she said.

Tyler looked down at his feet. He was cring but noone could see.

Mickey walked over to Elliot. She pulled a necklace from around her neck and handed it to Elliot. It was just a cross on a chain, but it was special to Mickey. She bent down and whispbered in Elliot's ear. "Thank-you." She believed Elloit was the reason Tyler was alive.

Elliot looked at the necklace in surprise then looked at Mickey, smiling and crying again. She hugged her tightly, crying into her shoulder.

"I'll miss you," She said.

Tyler was crying soundlessly. HE didn't look up.

Mickey patted Elliot on the back and stood up. Roan led her to the cart and helped her up.

Elliot sighed, watching them go. She reached down wordlessly and took Tyler's hand.

Tyler held it tightly and pulled her back to the river he didn't want to see Mickey leave.

Elliot put the necklace in her pocket carefully and walked with him back to the river. When she got there she wiped her tears away with the back of her hand and went back to her washing, glancing up at Tyler every few moments, unsure of what to say.

Cora sat outside around the back of their cottage, sitting in the grass with another book.

Blake had also followed Cora to the cottage. HE sat a little ways away wacthing some butterflys.

Tyler was sitting next o the river, saying nothing. He didn't even relize that Elliot was looking up at him every now and again.

Elliot finished her washing a few moments later and started back to her cottage, smiling softly at Tyler as she passed him.

Cora looked up from her book for a moment and looked at Blake.

Blake was sitting with his knees to his chest. The butterflys were flying around him, every now and again one would land on him. HE was sitting extra still.

Tyler smiled back but didn't get up, he was mad at himself for not saying anything to mickey.

"You should wear the necklace." Tyler said remebering she had put it her pocket.

Elliot stopped and nodded, then kept going. When she got to her cottage she hung up the clothes and pulled the necklace out of her pocket, running her finger over the cross. It /was/ very pretty. She wondered why Mickey had given it to her, or where she had gotten it. She managed to put it on and smiled as she looked at it around her neck. It was kind of big but when she got older it would fit nicer.

Cora was watching Blake out of the corner of her eyes, though she pretended to be busy reading.

It was unusal to see Blake sit so still and quiet for so long. But he had a small smile on his face as a butterfly landed on his nose.

Tyler staied were he was.

Layla kept doing the chores she had to do.

Sally was helping Layla finish some of the chores since she was bored.

Cora quickly looked back down at her book, rolling her eyes slightly.

Elliot wanted to go back to Tyler but had more things she needed to get done before her mom got home. She went back inside.

The butterflys flew away at the sound of stomping feet. Blake stood up and walkewd to the front of the cottage. There was three men walking talking to momi. The graurd. Tears running down her face. Blake only hread the words. Theif hanging, and tomorrow.

Cora stood up and heard the men speaking out front. She had an apathetic look on her face as she listened. She knew this was going to happen. She looked at Blake but said nothing.

Elliot finished her chores and went upstairs and made her bed quickly. She had forgotten to do it this morning.

Layla came out of their parents room that she had been sweeping in and went to the stairs hearing voices, and wondered what they were talking about.

Momi wacth them leave. SHe then fell to the ground crying. Blake ran up to her, she held him tightly.

Cora walked over to her mother and placed a hand on her shoulder for a moment before going inside. She saw Layla.

"Daddy's being hung tomorrow," She said simply, and went to find Sally.

Elliot smiled when she was done and ran down to the Redbird's house, hoping they could play so Tyler could get his mind off of things. Besides, she wanted to play, too.

Layla looked at Cora when she spoke, she was upset about what was going to happen to papa but didin't say anything.

Sally came downstairs wondering what was going on.

Momi led all her kids inside.

Cora saw Sally.

"Daddy's going to be hung tomorrow," She simply repeated, still looking apathetic.

Elliot came up to the Redbird's door and knocked, already planning out what they could play.

Blake was sitting ontop of his trunk.

Momi anwsered the door, her eyes red.
