The Redbird's story.

Ms. Morgan looked over when someone called her name. She saw him and ran over to him. "Yes, what's wrong?" She asked.

Cora was wondering if they had found Tyler when she realized she didn't know where Blake was. She went outside and began looking for him.

"Elliot won't be retrunning home tonight." He said then mentaly kicked himself he could have said it in a diffrent way.

Blake truned around and saw this old man looking down at him.

"And what are you doing?" The man asked.

"What?" Elliot's mother asked, fearing something had happened to her. "Where is she?!?" She demanded, beginning to panic.

Cora had wandered into the woods, still looking for Blake.

"Umm no. I'm sorry. She's in Mickey's bed hopefully sleeping. You see she has a slight fever." Matt said quickly.

"So why can't she come home?" Ms. Morgan demanded. "If she's sick I want her with me."

Matt held his hands up in a mock surnder. "Fine fine. Have it your way. You have to go get her through." He said then smiled. "But good luck on getting her tyo leave Tylers side. Both me and Mickey told her to leave but she wouldn't."

Ms. Morgan almost smiled, hearing what her daughter had done. "She can stay," she finally said. "But you'd better be taking good care of her," she added, looking almost scary as she looked at Matt.

"Mickey is takeing care of her not me." Matt said. "But you sould get her first thing in the morning. We don't think Tyler is gonna make it to tomorrow evening. And I do't wat her to have to see him die."

Ms. Morgan blinked in surprise. "You don't think he'll make it?" She asked, shaking her head.

"Mickey had to froce medacine down his throt 'cause we can't get him to wake up, and his head so hot I'm surpised it's not on fire." Matt expalned

"Oh, my," Ms. Morgan said. "I'm so sorry," she said. "Elliot will be a mess if he dies..." she mumbled.

"Well I must be off, I promised my unlce I would help in the feilds." Matt said.

Tyler was still in his unnartual sleep he wouldn't toss or trun, just lay very still on his back, as if he lost the little will to fight he had when he had flex his fingers. It was as if th darkness was calling him.

Ms. Morgan nodded. She went back to bargaining, though she was worried about her daughter now.

Elliot woke up and saw Tyler. She was feeling a little bit better. She sat up and looked at him. He wasn't moving again. She shook him softly.

"Tyler?" She asked.

Tyler was still breathing lightly, but it was like his soul was drifting off to another place.

"Ty, please come back," Elliot said, seeing he was breathing only lightly. She had tears in her eyes again.

Did she relize that one on her tears escaped ad fell on his face? Tyler opened his eyes for a moment. "Please don't cry, elliot." He said gently, in a hrash dry voice. He eyelids grew heavy again and he closed them.

"Ty!" Elliot said, her face lighting up when he spoke. When he closed them again she wrapped her small arms around him. "You're gonna be fine, you're gonna be fine," she whispered over and over again, more to herself than to him.

Mickey walked in she had been listening at the other side of the door.

Elliot didn't open her eyes or let go of Tyler when Mickey walked in. She was still whispering the same thing over and over again.

"I brought some tea." Mickey said holding two cups of tea in her hands.

She didn't like how the girl was getting her hopes up because the chance that he might die was still high.

Elliot looked up, finally releasing her grip on Tyler.

"Thank you," she said quietly.

She handed her the cup of tea abnd smiled. "Anything good happened?" She asked like she didn't know what happened.

"He talked to me," Elliot said, feeling a bit more hopeful than she had been. She took the cup of tea and took a small sip. "Just one sentence, but that's good, right?" She asked, looking up at Mickey, hope in her eyes.

She sighed the sentence he said souldn't have given that much hope. "It depends on what he said." She said.

"He told me....not to cry," Elliot said quietly, looking down at the cup of tea she held in her hands.
