The Redbird's story.

Elliot almost laughed. "I'm not leaving you, you're one of my best friends," she said, grabbing his arm. "Now come on!" She said, trying to help him walk again.

Tyler pulled away. "And I don't want you to become etiher, so please go home. What if your mom wakes up ad finds your not there? She'll be worried. And I'll be worried you won't be able to make it back home too."

Elliot bit her lip. "Promise you'll be okay?" She finally said, letting go of his arm.

"I will not romise something I do not know." Tyler said.

"Then I'm not leaving!" Elliot said. "Promise you'll be okay and I'll go home!!" She said.

"You want me to LIE to you?" He said almost yelling.

"Forget it!" Elliot said. "Just come on, I'm going with you to your cottage!" She said. "I'm not leaving you," she said. "And nyou can't make me." She grabbed his arm and tried to pull him along but he was too big.

Tyler sat on the ground. "GO HOME!"

"NO!" Elliot yelled, and sat down next to him. She was shivering now but he was doing worse than her. They were both too stubborn.

Tyler stood up and grabed her by the arm almost draging her. Sick as he was he still found it possiable to drag her to her cottage and leaveing her on her steps.

"Hey, let me /go/!!" Elliot shouted as he rabbed her and dragged her, trying to fight out of his grasp, but she couldn't. He left her on the porch steps, and she looked at him.

"Going side." HE said before trunning and walking away, he collasped alittle ways down the road. He sat up slowly and side. It was useless.

Elliot folded her arms across her chest, watching him. She was soaked now. She had tears of frustration in her eyes as she watched him. She didn't go inside.

HE stood up and truned around. "GO INSIDE!" he yelled load enough to wake up her mother.

Elliot knew her mother might of woken up and if she didn't he might yell again. She gave him one last glance before turning and running inot her house. She went up to her room and changed, putting her wet clothes by her windw. She wrang out her hair and looked outside, trying to see Tyler through the sheets of rain. She couldn't.

He fall dozen times but somehow made it to the barn at his house. He layed in the hay shivering

Elliot crawled into her bed and soon fell asleep.

*next morning.*

Sometime dureing thhe night when the rain had stoped for a few moments Tyler had gone inside and change out of his wet colthes. Now he was back outside. His face red with fever. He sat up and blinked. He was still dizzy. He layed back down shivering. 'Elliot was right I sould be inside not sleeing in the hay.' He thought but made no move to get up and leave.

Blake somehow staied quiet all night, through he staied close to his elder sister.

Elliot woke up the next morning. She felt warm as she sat up in her bed. She was shivering as well but knew she had to get up and do the chores. Her mother was gone already and she couldn't stay in bed. She quickly got dressed, shaking slightly as she did so. She went downstairs and outside.

Cora woke the next morning, Blake too close to her for her liking.

Tyler had a fever and could barely stand lat alone walk.

Blake sat up and yawned.

Layla woke up but didn't sit up.

Sally woke up shortly after Layla and sat up.

Elliot hung up her wet clothes from the night before outside. She wondered how Tyler was doing, remembering last night. He seemed kind of mad at her. She remembered what had happened with Blake and sighed. She went back inside and began sweeping.

Cora looked at Blake, remembering what had happened the night before. She blushed in embarrasment and looked away, getting up and stretching.

Papa yelled and Mama yelled back. It was nothing new.

Blake got out of bed and walked out of the room.

Sally heard their mama and papa yelling at eachother again and sighed.

Layla got up and changed out of her night gown and into a normal dress.

Cora changed quickly and tried to ignore the yelling.

Elliot felt dizzy and sat down for a moment, putting a hand on her forehead. It was very warm.
