The big city.

Carlisle's eyes brightened and his frown faded slightly, "Thank you." he said before sitting up.

Chris' smile fadded. "Uh, I'm sorry." He said quietly.

Noah frowned. "Okay then." He said. "You should stay away from Chance, she been acting werid lately."

"Why does it not matter?" He asked.

Lance frowned. "No,appartenly he doesn't want to see me." He said.

Cora nodded.

"When is your father coming?" She asked quietly, not wanting to upset him again.

"Uhm...alright," Ava said quietly. She looked around. This realm still amazed her each time. It was hard to believe it wasn't real. Or was it? To them she supposed it was, but to her, it was more of dream.

Ashlyn sighed in annoyance.

"If you want to see him, go see him," She said, as if it were the simplest thing in the world. "Once again, nothing's stopping you."

Hymn felt a smile spread across her face. She wiped some of the chalk dust off of her now almost white dress, and wiped it on his cheek, then repeated this to his other cheek, his forhead, his chin. Then she stepped back, and placed a hand over her mouth to stifle her laughter at his appearance. He looked like a ghost!

"Because she's an amazing person," Sable said simply. "None of that stuff matters. It should never have."

"Whenever he shows up. Rose told him to come when he was ready to." Carlisle told her. He then kissed her lightly but passionately.

The tigers were eyeing Ava.

Noah said sometime underhis breath, and they all looked away.

He stood up, a small frown on his face. "Why do you keep comeing here?"

"Ah, But there is." He said standing up. "The fact that we can't seem to have a normarl conversetion without ending up at each other's throats."

Chris was frowning deeply. "Haveing fun?" He said wipping some of it off.

"The fact remains, it did matter, it does matter, it will always matter." He said, looking back at Jade.

Lenora was outside, sitting next to Raven. Try as she might, she couldn't make her cheer up. She soon stood with a sigh and walked back inside, looking quite dejected.

Any trace of a smile was soon gone from Ava's face.

"I can go, if you want....." She trailed off, taking a step back. She didn't want to be somewhere where she was unwelcome.

"But why?" Sable asked simply. "Why should it matter?"

Ashlyn had to smile at that, but quickly wiped it away.

"Is there...uhm....anything you want me to tell him?" She asked.

Hymn just nodded, and couldn't help it; she burst out laughing, quite unlike herself.

"You should see yourself," She laughed, though she knew she probably lookd the same, if not worse.

Cora smiled lightly at him, and was about to say something when he kissed her. She gently kissed him back, glad that he had cheered up, at least a little bit.

Carlisle brought a hand to her cheek and brushed his finger tips across it before setting it on her waist and closing the space on the bed between them.

"Hmmmmm?" Noah looked at her. "No it's your choice if you want to be here, I was just wondering.

"Why?" He asked. "Isn't that always the qusion. No one knows why anything matters."

Lance frowned. "Nothing he'll listen to. Stuff like he shouldn't drink coke."

Chris smiled. "I look no wrost then you."

Issac, on impulse, just suddenly appered in Ashly's liveing room. His face blank.

Hymn couldn't stop laughing now, but it had quieted down some. She wiped the tears from her eyes, still chuckling lightly as she looked at him.

Ashlyn smiled slightly at that, but quickly shook it off.

"Anything else?" She asked.

"Are you going to tell me, then?" Sable asked simply.

Ava just nodded. She found her eyes wandering to the tightrope, but she quickly looked away. No, she wouldn't even think of that, not now.

Cora had wrapped her arms around his neck, but she pulled back a moment later, looking slightly embarrased when she heard a noise downstairs.

"I think someone's there," She said quietly.

Lenora went upstairs, and locked herself in the bathroom. She had been feeling so down lately. Maybe it was the fact that she had been thinking about her father more and more, and now Raven being so depressed, and....

As if appearing on que, her father showed up in front of her. The way he looked just like her, the way he was looking at her....

She glared at him and stood up.

"What?" She snapped. He sighed, and stepped towards her.

"I missed you," He said quietly. "A father wants to see his daughter every once in a while in the after life, even if it makes her hate him for it."

Lenora was still glaring at him.

"I don't want you to hate me," he said quietly. "Remember all the times we spent together on the couch, reading a book?" He asked. She did. "Or the times I would hold you while you cried, because you tripped and skinned your knee?" He asked. She did, all too clearly. "Or---" He started. Lenora shook her head.

"You lost any chance you had when you left us!" She cried, referring to her and her mom. "Stop coming to see me! I...I hate you!" She shouted. "I have ever since you left. Not a day went by when I didn't wish you dead!!!" Though he had been dead when she was gone, as she remembered all too clearly from Chris the first day in heaven. But she didn't care. She hoped her words stung him, like a knife in the heart, just as his disappearance stung her every day he was gone.

And then she ran out of the bathroom, and downstairs and out the front door, ignoring his calls behind her. Soon she had disappeared down the street, and he was gone, as well.

Rose ran into the living room when Isaac showed up. "Oh... I'll go get them" she said before dashing up the stairs and knocking on their door.

"It's him." Carlisle said softly, not moving his hands from her waist. When Rose knocked, however, he let her go, "We're coming." he said loud enough so Rose would here him before looking back at Cora, eyes soft, "You ready?" he asked her.

Rose walked back downstairs "They'll be down in a second" she said before plopping down on a chair.

Issac didn't say anything. He rarely spooke. He didn't even noded, just kept his face blank.

Chris stood up, he frowned again. "What a waste, but I must admit, it looks well on you." He said laughing.

"That he should at the very least check his blood everynow and again." Lance said. "And salt isn't good for him."

"It matters because it matters." he said.

"What matters?" A sleepy voice came from behind him.

He truned, surpised, Jade was awake now.

"I'm sure there is someone who would like to see you." He said.

Ava looked at Noah in surprise, tearing her eyes away from the tightrope once more.

"Huh?" She asked. "What are you talking about?"

Hymn just stuck her tongue out at him immaturely.

Sable smiled lightly at Jade, turning to her instead of her father now.

Ashlyn just nodded.

"Is that it?" She asked, sounding bored. Weather she really was or not was another question entirely. She was just trying to get rid of him now so Mason could come back out.

Cora smiled at Rose, and took a small, deep breath before standing up. She offered Carlisle her hand, and nodded.

"I am if you are," She said quietly, with a small, reassuring smile at him.

Carlisle took her hand and got off the bed, he walked out of the room slowly.

Noah smiled. "Zeus prehaps, or Luke." He said.

Chris rolled his eyes and stood up. "Sometimes I wonder if you will ever grow up." He said joking.

Jade blinked, and smiled back. "So you meet my father?"

Lance frowned. "No, but I have to leave you now."

His anut was walking back in, just as he sat down at his own table.

Hymn just shrugged.

"Maybe if you do," Was all she said.

Ava smiled back, and then looked around.

"Where would they be?" She asked, sounding unsure. This place was so big!

Ashlyn glanced at him, and then went back to her pizza, now somewhat cold, wondering if Mason would come out at all, or wait until Lance had left.

Sable just nodded, and cast a quick glance at her father, but said nothing.

Cora walked next to him down the stairs. As her eyes met his father, she straightened up, smiling politely at him.

Lenora had taken her pendant with her, in case James needed her. But she needed time. Time to think. How long, she couldn't say. But already she was in the heart of the city, and showed no signs of stopping anytime soon.

"Hello, father. How have you been?" Carlisle asked as he looked at his father carefully.

A sudden frowned found it's way to Issac's face. "Not much different from anyother time." He said dully. He looked at Cora. "So this is the foolish girl?"

Noah waved his hand. "Your geuss is as good as mine." He said.

Betty frowned. "I have to go Lance, I called a cab." She said and left again.

After she was goneLance stood up and walked towards the door. He wasn't hurngry.

A few moment later Mason came out frowning.

Her father frowned and left, without a word.

Ashlyn said nothing, and stared down at her pizza with a thoughtful expression on her face that was rare to see there. She didn't even look up at him as he came out.

Ava just nodded, and with a small smile thanked him before running out of the cage and looking around for either of them, or anyone that she recognized, really.

Cora forced herself to keep the smile on her face, and nodded.

"Yes, I'm Cora. It's a pleasure to meet you," She said politely.

Hymn sighed lightly.

Sable looked at Jade once her father was gone, but still said nothing.

Carlisle's eye narrowed as he glared at his father. The hand not that was not holding Cora's turned into a fist, knuckles quickly turning white.

Issac frownedm, eyeing his son. "I offend you why did you invite me?"

Chance wasn't far away, playing with the wires of a bomb.

"What's wrong?" Jade asked him.

~~
Mason sighed. "So?"

"You're my father and you have the right to meet my fiance and go to the wedding at the very least." Carlisle said coldly. "Don't expect more than that if you offend her like that. Take as many cheap shots as you want at me but leave her out of it."

Ashlyn looked up at him.

"So, what?" She asked, taking another bite of pizza, her previous expression gone.

Cora remained silent. If it were possible, his father was worse than his mother. She wanted to say something, but bit her tongue.

"Nothing," Sable said quickly, smiling at her. Then he sighed. "You had me worried. Why did you leave?" He asked.

Soon Ava found Chance, and raised an eyebrow at her playing with the wires of a bomb

"Um...hello," She said, coming up behind her, ignoring Noah's warning to stay away from her.

"I'm sorry." Jade said. "I was sleeply, and . . ." She stopped.

Issac face retruned to it's blank state. "Do you think I would listen to you?" He asked.

Mason frowned. "Nothing."

Chance looked up. "Hey."

"Why did you come if all you intend on doing is offend me? Heck! I could care less about you offending me at this point but why her?! She has done nothing to you! Are you just that cold hearted?!" Carlisle shouted. He had finally had enough and snapped.

Cora held his hand tighter, as if to try and calm him down, and say 'he hasn't done anything to me. It's okay.'

"It's okay," Sable said, with a small sigh and then a small smile. "I'm just glad you're okay. It seems that whenever I can't find you, you're in trouble somewhere." He laughed lightly, but he was being serious.

"What are you...uhm....doing?" Ava asked, kneeling down next to her.

Ashlyn just shrugged. She pointed to the last piece of pizza.

"Do you want it?" She asked, deciding not to mention the previous incident, at least not now.
