The Redbird's story.

Elliot frowned.

"No, why?" She asked, tilting her head slightly at him.

"Nothing." Tyler anwsered. "Why are you here?" He asked. "Why are you in my bed?" He asked quieter

"I saw Tally walking by and she wanted to go to the market, so I said we should get you to take her," Elliot explained. She frowned.

"Besides, it's almost noon, you should be up," she added with a laugh.

"That early?"Tyler asked laying back down. He looked up at elliot, he had one arm behind his head.

Elliot frowned and poked him in the cheek.

"Get up," She said.

"Why?" Tyler asked smileing. He remembered once again how much he loved this girl.

Elliot grinned back.

"Because I can't take her," She said. She sighed.

"I have to do more chores, or else mama will pass out again," She said with a small frown.

"Matt and Charie said not to take her tody, anyhow. They said she didn't need anymore ideas." Tyler said looking u at Elliot.

Tally frowned.

Elliot laughed slightly. She sighed and stood up off of his bed.

"Either way, you should get up," She said. "I have to go home and do some chores."

Tyler looked at her. "Must I?"

"Yes," Elliot said, before laughing and running out of his room. "See you later!" She called over her shoulder before running outside and back towards her cottage.

Tyler suwng his legs off his bed ad gut up.

Elliot pulled the clothes off the clothesline outside and went in, only to see her mom passed out again. She sighed and walked over to her, shaking her softly.

"Mama...." she whispered. She didn't answer. "Mama??"

Tally smiled. "Play with me!"

*Dinner time*

Elliot sat at the kitchen table, her face blank.

The doctor had come and told her; her mother was dead.

She sighed, layed her head on the table. Tomorrow morning she had to leave to live with her Aunt and Uncle, int he next town over. It wouldnt of been that bad, but it wasn't easy to get from there to here, or vice versa.

They were having a small service once she got to the next town. She was alone at her house now. She had eaten a small piece of bread, and that was it. She wasn't hungry, nor could she of eaten even if she was.

Her eyes were red and puffy, and she had run out of tears. She thought about leaving Tyler and burst into tears again, more finding their way to her eyes.

Blke had hread about Elliots morther dieing, and was paceing back and forth, wondering if he sould vist her. In the end he decide that she still hated him and didn't want to see him.

Cora had also heard about Elliot's mom dying, but didn't know what she could do.

Elliot finally stood, running out her cottage's front door and toward's Tyler's house, blinded by tears. She climbed up to his barn, wondering if he was going to sleep there tonight. She didn't care either way. She wasn't going to sleep in her house. It would make her think of her mom too much.

She curled up under the hay, hardly visible anymore as she sobbed.

Tally head poped out of the hay. "Elliot?" She whispbered.

Tally was hideing. She was to be in bed hours ago, but she hid in the hay.

Ellliot glanced up from under the hay.

"Tally?" She asked.

"Quiet, they do't know I'm in here." She whispbered. Quiet was't Tally's thing, and was hard to hide for long.

Elliot wanted to talk to Tyler. Spend one last night with him. But she could'nt bring herself to move.

"Sorry," she mumbled, her voice cracking.

"Are ou hiding too?" Tally asked.

"I guess so," Elliot whispered.

"TALLY!!" Tyler called walking towards the barn.

"I'm not here," Elliot whispered, suddenly changing her mind. She crawled further into the hay, stifling her sobs with some difficultly.
