The Redbird's story.

Elliot just nodded.

"Bye, Ty," She said quietly before sneaking out of his room and downstairs, before taking off running towards her cottage.

Tyler sighed ad sat on his bed. "I wish I told her."

Elliot stood out front of her cottage a few hours later, 3 bags on the ground by her feet.

It was early morning. The sun had just begun to rise.

She had come home nad packed, and now she was ready to leave. They would be here soon to get her with the horse.

She wondered if Tyler had gone back to sleep. She longed to see him one last time. But knowing him, he was probably out like al ight

And the Redbirds.

She had spent the entire time she was packing debating what to do about them.

She still believed they had grown tired of her; maybe even hated her

Part of her had hoped one of them, espeicially Blake, woudl come see her when they heard about her mom

But none of them had.

She had learned long ago not to get her hopes up, but she just couldn't hlelp it. And each time they /didn't/ show up, it just hurt more.

She was tired of hurting. But what could she do?

She felt antoher tear slip down her cheek, followed b more as shed stood in front of her cottage.

Cora was up and sitting on her bed.

Tyler walked down the dirt road, Tlly running after him.

"Buuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuut Why?" Tally asked.

Elliot sighed and sat down on one of her bags. They would be here soon. She stole a glance at the Redbird's house.


'Blake....Cora....everyone...' she thougth. Cora was looking out her window. Her eyes widened when she saw the bags, but understood. She waved at Elliot.

Elliot jumped when she saw Cora, but nervously waved back. The only way she would ever say goodbye to them.

"Because." Tyler said.

Then he saw Elliot, he waved.

Elliot saw Tyler and waved, the tears coming again. She ran to meet him on the road.

"Hello Little one." He held something in his hand. His fist closed around it.

Elliot noticed he had something in his hand but didn't ask. Instead she hugged him again, not caring what others thought. Not anymore.

Tyler sighed and pulled away. "Elliot we talked about this," He wanted to hug her back and not let her go. He held something out for for. It was ring. "It was my morthers, rember she died two springs ago? My sisters didn't want it, so you can have it."

Elliot winced. If she was never going to see him again, what did it matter if they hugged?

She looked at his hand when he held out the ring.

She smiled slightly and took the ring.

"T--Thank you," She said quietly.

He knew if they hugged again he would spill his guts, and tell herhe loved her.

"Your welcome don't lose it." Tyler said.

Elliot smiled and slipped it on her finger.

"I won't," She said quietly just as her Uncle came on the horse.

"We need to go now, Elliot, or we won't make it by nightfall." When he saw Tyler he frowned.

Tyler looked up at him, and nodded.

"Hurry Tally, and say your goodbyes." He said as Tally hugged Elliots legs.

Elliot smiled and leaned down, hugging Tally quickly.

"Look after Tyler for me, okay?" She whispered, her voice cracking with the tears she held back.

Tally nodded. "Don't cry." The she whispber so Tyler couldn't hear her. "That ring means alot to Tyler, don't lose it."

Elliot nodded.

"I wont," She said. Her uncle had strapped her bags to the horse and was waiting for her now.

Tyler had to pull Tally way.

Elliot climbed up on the back of the horse with some difficultly. She looked at Tyler.

Tyler waved. "Have fun." He said before draging Tally off.

'Fun?' Elliot thought, somewhat sadly as her Uncle and her rode off.

Blake was up. He had wacthed Elliot leave, from the window, careful to sty hidden. He felt hurt when she didn't say bye, but she did hate them.

At the end of the day, Elliot was sitting on the front steps of her Aunt and Uncle's house. She was sore and stiff, and sad. She sighed, staring out at the setting sun.

Blake sat down next to her.
