The Redbird's story.

Blake glared at the house. He missed his freind. HE was really gonna talk to her this time, but since she ran, ut was set in his mind that she didn't want to talk.

Elliot leaned with her back against the door and sank to the floor, her shoulders shaking as she cried. She missed her friends more than anything else in this world, and she wanted nothing more than to see them.

Layla looked up at their mama. "Why don't you make Blake eat?", she asked.

Momi sighed. "Because I don't have to-" She sighed again

Cora looked at their mother as well.

"He needs food too, mama," She said. "Please at least make him eat his share. We're fine with the amount we get; we should all get the same amount," she said.

Momi looked down at the table. "If he wants you to eat more then him, thats up to him, not me." She said.

She loved her daughters, she loved them more then everything, Blake too. it was just that he reminded her so much of his father, who she loved dearly, that shebelieved he might drop that low too. But if this was the only way to make sure his sisters got enough food, she was willing to accpet it. She would rather see her son die from lack of food then the same way his father did. Not that she wanted her son dead.

Cora glared down at the table, her hands curled in fists underneath it. This was stupid.

Elliot stood a few moments later and walked upstairs and into her room.

"Cora do you rally care that much for your brother?" Momi asked.

Blake was still glareing at elliot's home.

Cora looked up at her mom, surprised.

"No," She said.

Elliot walked over to her window and glanced outside.

Blake walked away slightly annoied with himself.

Momi Stood up. "Then why won't you eat the food he gives you?"

"Fine, I will from now on," Cora said.

Elliot lay on her bed and fell asleep.

Momi looked down.

"I thought of someting just now." She said with a tear running down her face.

Blake was making his way home.

"What?" Cora asked.

"Maybe we sould leave him in the moutions, blake I mean." Momi said. She didn't want to, but it might be best, plus it wasup to him if he agreed that it would be good, and also if the others agreed. Thats how they worked it in the redbird family.

Blake was standing by the door, tears fell down his face.

Cora almost laughed, until she realized she was serious.

"You want to leave Blake in the mountains?" She asked, shaking her head. "No!"

Layla looked up at their mother.

Sally shook her head. She didin't want to leave their brother up in the mountains.

Blake had ran away. Before Cora spoke. He wasn;t thing, he ran in the dirction of Elliots home.

Elliot had woken up and was outside again, unable to sleep. It was dark out now and she was looking up at the moon.

Blake had his head down, andd tears blureing his vison. He didn't see Elliot and ran right into her, knocking her to the ground. Blake landed next to her.

Elliot landed on the dirt with an 'oof', her breathe knocked out of her. She looked over and saw Blake, struggling to catch her breathe as she lay on the ground.

Blake relized he had fallen on her arm, and sat up quikly. "I'm sorry." he Said indiffrently

Elliot sat up as well, rubbing her arm.

"Don't worry about it," she mumbled, the first words she had said to him in so long.

Blake stood up looked away, but he offer her his hand to help her stand up.

Elliot took his hand and managed to stand up, brushing the dirt off of her dress and refusing to meet his eyes.

Blake stood ther waiting for her to say something.
