The Redbird's story.

Blake soon finashed dinner and waited boredly.

Cora finished soon after Blake.

Elliot finished her small meal and helped her mother do the dishes.

Papa waved his hand dismissing all the kids.

Blake walked up shairs and sat on to of his trunk.

It started to poor outside.

Cora walked upstairs as well.

Elliot soon walked upstairs to her room.

Blake looked up at cora. He thn looked away.

Cora sighed. She was starting to worry about her brother, but she wasn't going to say so. She walked into the room she shared with her sisters.

Elliot opened her window and looked outside.

Blake didn't move as water started to drip on his head from the hole in the roof.

Cora walked back out and saw Blake. She sighed.

"Stupid. If you sit under there you'll catch a cold," she said.

He stared at his older sister. 'Why does she care?' He made no move to move.

Cora rolled her eyes and took his hand. "Come on," she said, trying to help him up.

Blake let his sister help him up.

Cora let go of his hand after she had helped him up. "See? Stupid. Don't get yourself wet," she said.

He glared at her when she called him spuid. He truned aroud to try to sit back on the trunk.

Cora sighed. She took Blake's hand again but this time she wrapped him in a hug.

For a moment Blake didn't kow what to do. He couldn't remeber the last time she hugged him. He hugged her back, a small smile on his small pale face.

Cora rested her chin on her brother's shoulder.

"Now behave, little brother," She said. She /did/ love him, but she would never admit it. She pulled back, still not sure why she had done that.

Blake nodded. "y-- yes Cora." He said in a small voice.

Cora smiled at her little brother. "Tired?" She asked.

Blake nodded, and yawned.

Cora nodded. "Then go get ready for bed," She simply said.

He push some of his now wet hair out of his face. "I can't, I have to sleep like this." He pionted to his trunk with was covered in water.

Cora rolled her eyes and walked over to his trunk, pulling it out of the way of the water dripping from the roof.

"You are really stupid sometimes, you know?" She said.

"And you are sometimes pig headed." He said as he walked over to the trunk. He oened and pulled out some clean clotehs. He walked in to mama's and papa's room and change. He walked out a few moments later.

Cora glared at him, their moment gone. While he was gone she had went into her room and changed into her night clothes. She was back in the hallway waiting for him when he came out.

Blake walked over to his sister, smileing.
