The big city.

"Too many demons coming through this house..." Rose muttered in the kitchen before running out if it and dashing up the stairs. She walked into Cora and Carlisle's room to look at Damon standing over a bleeding Carlisle and her eyes caught the knife in his hand. "Get out now!" she said and Damon nodded and disappeared. "Cora!!!" Rose shouted downstairs as she knelt by Carlisle, who was barely coherent at the moment.

"Where is she!?" Dust demanded grabbing his shirt. "Where is she?" He yelled. "Where is Jade?" It was clear he was mad. "And I want you to stay away from her!" He said in a low and deadly tone. "She will give her very soul for you, and you go and blow it?" He pinned him against a wall. "Where is she?"

Kasper glared at her. "My sink tells me not to listen to what things like you say, because they will always lie." He said. Laid back on his bed. "The pink was disgusting." He said.

Lance looked up, his eyes sad, and pained. "What?" He asked simply, resting his acing head on the desk again. "Make it fast, please." He almost forgot to add the last bit. "I'm going to bed in a few minutes, my head is killing me."

Josh spun around, he was smirking. "Aw, Ivy." He said. "Did you need something little demon?" He asked.

Monroe yanked his ankle free and walked over to Brianna. He touched her head. "Hey girlie." Suddenly he sent her images of her mom and dad fighting, making her think it was all her fault.

Moments later Samson had him pinned to the floor.

Isaac didn't open his eyes. He knew who it was, he would be able to recognize her if he was blind, deaf, and half mad. She had the presence to her that always called him to her. He said nothing, enjoying the silence.

Warren had lost track of time. He didn't care to find out. He just sat there, his arms around around his knees.

Sable didn't do anything even as he was pinned to the wall. He looked confused, but not scared. "I'm sorry," He said quickly. "I don't...I remember..." He could see himself, holding Jade up by the neck, seeing her fall. "She's...she's in heaven," He choked out.

Raven stood up, looking somewhat annoyed. "I'm not lying," She said, walking over to him and poking him. "See? Solid. Real. Well, sort of."

Laurinda felt herself losing her nerve, even as she stood there. She didn't want to bother him while he wasn't feeling good, but she had to.

"It's uhm...it's about what you told me, before. About a week ago," she said quietly. "When you said you lo--loved me." She was staring at her feet now, cheeks red.

Ivy just looked at him, her eyes tear filled and spilling over. SHe wiped them away angrily. "What the heck was that?" She demanded instead, sounding angry. "You come after me for so long, and right when I open up and fall for you, you....you do that!!" She shouted.

Brianna clutched her head in her hands, her lower lip trembling as she struggled to hold back tears. She could hear them arguing so clearly in her mind, hear their angry, raised voices. She felt that sense of dread, of guilt in her stomach. All her fault. It was all her fault.

Andrea too enjoyed the silence. She had her hands folded in her lap, and didn't hear Rose call to Cora from inside. She closed her eyes, trying not to think about anything.

Melanie made her way to the room she knew had been Hope's, and when she saw Warren there, she froze. Still here; he was still here. She took a step towards him, reaching out a hand as if wanting to comfort him, when in truth she had done this to him.

"Warren? You can't stay here forever, Warren," She whispered instead.

Cora jumped when she heard her name called, and ran up the stairs. She froze in the doorway to her and Carlisle's room, her feet suddenly not listening.

"Carlisle," She whispered, finally finding her voice. She found her legs as well and ran over to him, kneeling down next to him. "What happened??" She asked quickly, but she had a feeling she knew the answer.

"She wasn't there when I went looking, matter of a fact no one seen her since you fell." Dust hissed.

"You are looking for Jade?" Clara's voice came, she was laughing. "I know where she is." She giggled from just down the hall. "Wait here I'll go get her." She disappeared and before Dust could drop Sable she was back, holding the the elbow of a blank Jade.

She stared at them, or more like pass them. "Don't be rude, say hello." Clara said, a smirk on her face. Jade's eyes flicked over to her, she still said nothing. "Poor doll," Clara said. "She hasn't spoken a word since she became demon." She mused.

Dust stared wide eyed. He finally let Sable fall to the floor. "She doesn't look like she is in heaven." He spat.

Kasper fell off the bed. "Do- don't touch me!" He said, his eyes. "Just go away." He sounded pleading.

Josh smirked. "Well yeah, you been in my head for how many years? And you didn't expect that?" He laughed, laughed at her.

Lance frowned. "Yeah, I remember, but don't worry about it. I'm not going to kick you out if you don't love me back." He said.

Aline appeared next to Brianna. "Samson, violence, if you are going to hurt him like that, do it out of the room." She said as she watched Samson pick up Monroe, and act as if he was about to hit him.

"No." Warren said. "I can't, you can find me all to easily." His voice was dry. He tried to stand, but he failed, and fell back to the ground.

Lenora was looking for Dust, but she couldn't find him anywhere. Her worry for James now combined with her worry for him was overwhelming. She sat down on the couch amid the boxes, a frown on her face, hands clasped together tightly in her lap.

Sable looked at Jade, eyes wide as he fell to the floor. "I--" he began, but he couldn't finish. "Jade?" He finally whispered. "Jade??" He asked, clearer as he stumbled to his feet.

Raven took a step back. "Sorry," she said quietly. She sat back down in the corner. "But I'm not leaving," she whispered, and fell silent again. She knew she should, but this was the last piece of her old life that she had left, the one last thing she could cling to. She wouldn't give it up.

Ivy took a step back, her small hands clenched into tight fists at her sides. "You know what, Josh? Have fun with whatever girl you want. I don't care anymore," she said tightly, and disappeared. SHe reappeared in front of Brianna, next to Aline. She sat down on the rocking chair in the corner, silently. She didn't say a word.

Brianna was looking at Aline through her tear filled eyes, her parent's voices still filling her head.

Laurinda shook her head. "That's not...that's not it," She mumbled, staring at the floor. She obviously was uncomfortable. "It's just that I..." She looked over at him, still a good distance away, standing near the door. "I actually wanted to tell you that I..." She bit her lip, staring at the ground again. "Love you," She finished quietly.

Ashlyn closed her eyes, knowing she was done with Chip. There was no other way to hurt him. She reappeared in her old room, and was surprised to find it empty. Her bed was the only thing left, and even it was stripped of the sheets. She walked out into the main room of the small apartment, but it, too was empty, as if she had never even lived here. She made her way back to her room, and remembered seeing Mason here before. 'Mason,' she thought, feeling a pull at her heart.

Melanie shook her head. "I don't care if you hate me," She said, taking a step towards him and kneeling down next to him. "You can't stay here. You're hurting yourself."

Jade didn't seem to recognize him. She did nothing but stare, her eyes blank. "Avari." Clara said. "She is Avari now." She was smirking. "If you must know, it is your fault she is like this. She sold her heart so you could see what you done." She was smirking.

"Why!?" Kasper demanded. "All my life I been tormented by my own mind, so why can't I make them go away!?" His hands were in fists.

Aline kissed Brianna's forehead in a sister like affection. "It's okay." She whispered.

Lance stared at her, and shook his head. "You don't have to lie, Lulu, it's fine. I may love you, but that doesn't mean you have to say it back."

"Why does it matter?" He asked. "Broken and lost hurts a lot worse then any physical scar." He said softly.

Sable shook his head. "No..why would she do that?" He asked, his voice choked. He knew the answer; she loved him, and now look what it had done to her. It was his fault.

Raven just looked at him in silence, pulling her knees up to her chest and resting her chin on top of them. She felt bad, but not bad enough to leave the only memories of her life she had left.

Brianna nodded slowly. "Y--Yeah," she stamemred. "Okay." Her hands were in fists, shaking.

Laurinda looked up at him, her cheeks flushed. "I'm not lying," She said quickly, finally finding her feet and walking over to him. "I'm not lying," She added, quietly, stopping once she was close to him. "I love you, Lance," She said, liking the way it felt to finally say it. "I do." She looked at him, hoping he could see she was telling the truth in her eyes.

Melanie shook her head, trying to ignore the tears she felt coming. "Come on," She said quietly. "Just go back to haven. Go somewhere. Torturing yourself like this...it won't help," she whispered.

"Who else would try to kill him?" Rose said, anger laced her voice. She looked down at Carlisle sadly before standing up, "I have to get Carmen... I can't let him bleed to death..." she muttered but part of her had a bad feeling so she didn't leave to look for her, "Ashley! Call for an ambulance!"

Carlisle looked weakly up at Cora, his face was beginning to become pale. He was bleeding from his chest and several places along his abdomen, the ruby red blood coming out quickly.

"Sable, she loved you." Clara said. "See she wanted you to know what you did, not because she was mad at you, because she loved you." She laughed. "Loved you. I fear she can't love no longer.

Dust's anger boiled over and suddenly Sable was against a wall. "Look what you did!" He yelled. "Did you find it so fun to destroy her heart so many times that you had to make her loose it all together?!" He demanded. "All she did was love you! YOU! You should count yourself lucky, you didn't deserve her, but you had her anyways! She did nothing but love you, and risk everything for you, and you had done nothing but hurt her in the end! Look at her! She will never be the same again! It's all your fault! You should of have let her go in the beginning, a bruised heart is better then no heart at all!" He shouted.

Lance looked don't. "Lulu, why couldn't you say that earlier? When I said it?" He asked quietly.

Aline touched her head. "I have to go." She whispered. "I have a new charge." She whispered.

Warren glared at her. "I don't care! Get away from me! I hate you, or do you not remember?" He asked.

Sable said nothing, even as Dust pinned him to the wall again, for he knew he was right. He should have done that, but he couldn't. He loved her too much, and it was selfish. He turned his face away, and looking into Jade's eyes, her unrecognizing eyes, and flinched.

Laurinda swallowed, then continued. "I didn't...I didn't know then," she said quietly. "But I've been thinking about it, and I think I have it figured out," she said quietly. "The reason why I couldn't stay away from you before, the reason that whenever I'm not around you I only think of you, the reason I worry for you so much when you aren't well, even just with a headache, like now," She said quietly, pausing here and hesitantly reaching out a hand and touching his cheek. "The reason it hurt so much when you snapped at me before," She said quietly, letting her hand fall back to her side. "It's because I love you. I have for a while now. I just didn't know it."

Brianna shook her head, but then slowly nodded through her tears. "Okay," She said quietly, looking at her and struggling to hold them back. "Okay."

Ivy stood up then, and looked at Aline. "I'll help take care of her," she said simply, making Brianna blink and look over at her, more tears falling down her cheeks.

Melanie shook her head. "I do remember," She said quietly. "But I love you too much to watch you sit here and torture yourself. I'm sorry for what I did; I don't know what else to tell you other than that I messed up. I messed up so much, all because I didn't want to see you hurt, but in the end that's all I did."

Cora shook her head, tears streaming down her cheeks, the thing she had tried so hard to hold back. She placed her hands over the wounds on his chest, trying to stop the bleeding, but only staining her fingers red. "Carlisle!" She shouted, cried. "Please!"

Andrea stood up when she heard the voice, and said nothing to Isaac before disappearing, reappearing next to Cora.

Ashley was in the kitchen, she had called for an ambulance and soon after a siren could be heard down the street.

Rose ran down the stairs when a loud knocking could be heard. She opened the door to two men and a stretcher. They all ran upstairs quickly and the two men began to work to slow Carlisle's bleeding.

"He is in critical condition." One said.

"He'll need a transfusion if there is a chance he'll live." the other responded.

As they worked they stayed out of Cora's way, each knowing what might happen if he passed on.

"I want to tear you apart." Dust spat. "Rip you to pieces and burn your heart. But I won't." He said dropping him to the ground. "Because sometimes the worse punishment is none at all." With that he left.

Jade looked at Clara, then she looked back at the fallen Sable. Without even a word she turned and began to walk away.

Lance listened to her quietly. His mouth became dry. "Lulu." He spoke softly. "Come here."

Blake rolled his eyes and disappeared outside.

Aline looked at her with a frown. "Why would I believe you?" She asked.

"Your words mean nothing to me." He said. He tried to stand again, only to fall back to the ground.

Lenora was still sitting on the couch, staring down at the boxes around her and her hands, a bad feeling in the pit of her stomach.

"You wouldn't, but that won't stop me," Ivy said simply, arms folded across her chest. She looked sad, broken. She quickly pushed it back and her impassive face came back. Brianna slowly stood up, her cheeks tear stained.

Sable stumbled to his feet again. "J--Jade," He stammered, looking at her retreating form. "Jade," He whispered.

Raven looked up at the boy again, then at the window. "This is a nice house, huh?" She asked quietly, not caring that he didn't want to talk to her.

Melanie shook her head. "I don't care," She said simply. She hesitated before reaching out and placing an arm around his shoulder, trying to help him up. "I won't sit by and watch you hurt yourself even more."

Cora stepped back, her hands red and blood stained. She had tears in her eyes as she watched, her legs suddenly feeling weak beneath her. She knew where he'd be if he did move on, but she also didn't know if she'd ever be able to see him again if he did. She took a step back, silent cries shaking her shoulders.

Ava was sitting in the meadow now, laying back on the grass with her eyes half closed. She was tired; she hadn't been sleeping much lately, and she was afraid just to close her eyes anymore.

Laurinda took another step towards him, her cheeks bright red and her heart pounding hard against her chest. She stopped once she was right next to him, looking at him but saying nothing, not knowing what to say.

Once Carlisle was stable enough to move they put him on the stretcher and walked to the door. One man looked solemnly at Cora, "Would you like to come with?" he asked her. He walked out without an answer, assuming what of would be. They got him in the back of the ambulance slowly, as to not cause more damage.

Aline nodded and disappeared. Samson looked at Ivy. "Why would you want to help?" He asked.

"Don't you see?" Monroe asked. "She is going soft. All her life I tried to beat that out of her, and look she is slowly going to back to how she use to be." He spat. "Dirty little brat." He said.

Clara shook her head when Jade didn't response. "She isn't Jade anymore, she is Avari. She can never be Jade again, her heart and soul already belongs to someone else." Clara said, smirking.

"Hm, yeah, I guess." Kasper said, looking thoughtful. "Why?" He asked he couldn't believe he was talking back.

"No, because you want hurt me yourself!" Warren yelled pulling away, slipping to the ground. He buried his face in his hands. "I hate you!" He said. "I hate you even more, because I still love you. But nothing can be the same, because you broke me." He said.

Lance just looked at her. Sitting down he was eye to her. "Lulu." He said. He touched her cheek. "Thank you." He whispered.

ivy glared at her brother, the fear and helplessness she felt when he first arrived, when she was alive, seemingly gone. "Call me whatever you want, brother," She said slowly. "But it won't change anything. I'm staying."

Brianna was silent, watching.

Sable's eyes widened. "What are you talking about??" He demanded quickly, a bad feeling in the pit of his stomach.

"I used to live here," Raven said quietly, resting her chin on top of her knees and looking at him. "This was my room, and the one next door was my brother's."

Melanie was silent, stumbling back. He still loved her?

She felt tears in her eyes, but somehow managed to hold them back. "Fine," She said stiffly, sitting down on the bed. "But I'm staying here until you leave."

Laurinda just nodded, her eyes only on him. She didn't know what to say, nor if she would have even been able to speak if she'd wanted to. She couldn't find her voice.

Cora nodded, and she was only a few steps behind them. She wiped her hands on her dress, leaving bloody stains on them.

After they loaded Carlisle into the truck and helped Cora in as well the ambulance was off. As the sped towards the hospital with the siren going Carlisle weakly grabbed Cora's hand and held it. He looked her in the eyes with a look that told her he would be okay. "I love you." He told her slowly.

"Stay if you like." Monroe said, smirking. "I'll just break you again." He said, happily. " He suddenly grabbed her by he arm. "I never killed you, I never beat you near death, I might of have never done so, yet you killed me." He smirked. "Now you can feel death with out dieing."

Clara smirked. "Would you like to meet Bryce?"She asked. "I think you might want to." She was smirking. "I think she would enjoy seeing you." He said.

Kasper laughed. "No one lived here for years." He said. "Ten years I think, or was it five, hmm."

"Why won;t you leave me alone?" Warren demanded with tears in his eyes. "Do you want to break the pieces? You already crushed them to dust! What else can you do to me?" He asked.

Lance sighed and pulled his hand away, and laid his head on his desk. "I don't feel good." He mumbled.

Ivy froze, then struggled to pull herself out of his grasp. It was hard, being so much smaller than him. She glared at him, but his words hit hard. She knew what she did was wrong, but she had been scared. Fed up of being hurt everyday for no reason at all.

"What are you talking about?" Sable demanded, ignoring the throbbing in his head. HE didn't even think about it right now.

"I did live here, then," Raven said quietly. "It was 7 years ago," She corrected him. "Or something around there."

Melanie shook her head. "Nothing," She said quietly. "That's why I'll stay here, until you leave and stop hurting yourself more," She said quietly, looking at him.

Laurinda frowned, and moved closer, hesitantly placing a hand on his shoulder. "Is it your head again?" She asked queitly.

"I love you, too," Cora whispered, gripping his hand tightly. She had tears in her eyes, but with the bit of pride she had left, she refused to let them fall. He would be okay; he had to be.

After a moment of silence Carlisle spoke once more, "I am always here for you, I promise." he said and a few seconds later his heart beat for the last time and then stopped. The men in the ambulance began to work quickly to revive the man but had no avail.

"We're so sorry..." one man muttered.

Monroe dropped her and grabbed Brianna. Suddenly he had her thrown against her own bedroom wall.

Clara smirked and grabbed his arm. Moments they were standing in a brightly lit room. "A few years ago Dawn and Dust ate a girl's soul, instead of bring it to my mother, and left the body on earth, left an unknown. I felt like a giving person one day and gave her Jade's heart and soul.

They were standing behind a girl with sandy brown hair. She was sitting at a desk, writing, as Jade would often do.

"Jade."Clara said, and the girl turned around, she looked only about 12.

"Clara!" Unlike Jade's own voice she could say he 'R's. Then she looked at Sable and her eyes widened.

"Her name is really Bryce, she is still Bryce to a certain extent, but she is now mostly Jade. She knows she knows you in some way, but she isn't sure how. I fixed her, I mean, Jade's, memories.

Warren glared at her. "You are hurting me by being here." He said.

Lance nodded slowly. "I'll be fine." He said.

Brianna cried out in pain, hitting the wall hard and slipping to the ground, her head throbbing. She looked up hazily, just as Ivy grabbed her brother by the arm, hard, and pulled him back.

"Don't touch her!" She shouted.

"Everything still looks the same," Raven said quietly. "Except for my room, now."

Sable shook his head slowly; this was all too much for him. "J...Jade?" he stammered, looking at the unfamiliar face.

Melanie flinched, but still didn't move. She wasn't speaking now, just watching him. She didn't want to hurt him anymore, but she would stay until he left. He couldn't stay here forever; he would just hurt himself more by doing that.

Laurinda frowned, then slowly nodded. "If you're sure," She said quietly, but she didn't move her hand from his shoulder.

Cora shook her head, her eyes wide, frantic. "Carlisle!!" She cried, squeezing his hand tightly now that it could no longer hold her own. "Carlisle!" She shook her head, and slowly released his hand, and buried her face in her hands, her shoulders shaking.

Rose appeared a few moments later beside Cora and looked sadly at Carlisle. The two me didn't seem to want to know how the girl appeared as Rose tried to comfort Cora, "Would you like me to find out where he went?" Rose asked, she wasn't sure of way else to say.

Samson grabbed Monroe. "Come on buddy." He said, and then they disappeared.

"You had a bad taste in colors." Kasper noted dryly. He laid back on his bed. "Why was that other room painted black?" He asked.

Bryce's eyes widened. "Who is he!?" She sounded excited, like Jade sometimes got over little things. She leaned forward in her chair, and she suddenly tumbled out of it. She landed with an 'oof'.

Warren wrapped his arms around his knees. He didn't want to leave. He was too sad to.

Lance nodded slowly. "I think I will, in time." He said quietly. But he wasn't sure.

Ivy knelt down next to Brianna, who was shaking. "Pl--please," She stammered. Ivy shook her head. "I'm not going to hurt you," she said,s urprising even herself with her gentlesness.

Raven smiled slightly, sadly. "My brother had a thing for dark colors," She said quietly, looking over at him. "I didn't."

Sable took a step back, his eyes wide. She didn't reocgnize him; this shouldn't surprise him, but it hur tjust the same. His head was pounding, and he flinched.

Melanie was silent. "I don't know what else to say," She said softly. She closed her eyes. "I just wish I could go back."

Andrea stumbled back outside, running right into Isaac. Her eyes were wide, frantic. She knew; she just knew what had happened. She didn't know why she was crying, even as she was. She didn't want to see her son hurt, and now he was dead. Now Isaac wouldn't have to stay anymore; perhaps that was another reason, she'd not get to see him again, it seemed.

Laurinda frowned, and slowly removed her hand. "If you say so," She said quietly, but it was obvious she didn't belive him.

Cora nodded through her tears. "Y--Yes," She stammered, her voice muffled through her hands.
