The big city.

"Well, you should blame me! If I had just said no to him he wouldn't have been here to begin with!" Rose told him.


"Rose, please? I don't want anyone blaming themselves, even if the person who is at fault wouldn't admit he was." Carlisle told her.

Cleo shook her head. "It is final. Sampson is your new gurdain, Aline is free to stay, until she is reassigned." She said and disappeared.

Warren wayched her go, a deep frown on his face.

Tyler looked toward the kicthen. "Should we leave?" He asked.

Brianna had tears in her eyes now, which only made Ivy's grin widen. Brianna turned to look at Aline now, and suddenly was hugging her. "Please don't go!" She said. "You're not my guardian only; you're my friend, too!" She said.

Melanie was soon next to Hope again, yet invisible.

Cora sighed, hearing them in the kitchen. She shook her head at Tyler. "No," she said quietly. If he did, she didn't know what she'd do; they were taking her mind off of things for once. Elliot bit her lip nervously.

Rose stood up and dried her eyes. She silently walked out if the kitchen. As she passed through the living room her arms were holding her sides. She walked up the stairs wordlessly and up to the room she shared with Ashley.

Sampson tapped his fingers on her desk. "How sweet." He said sarcasstily.

Aline glared at him. "Yes, I'll sta here, alright?"

Warren soon found himself standing next to her, also invisable.

Tyler nodded quietly.

Laurinda was in the park, wondering if Lance would come today. She lost track of time easily when she didn’t have a watch, or a calendar, or anything. She dind’t know what time it was, so if it was late she wouldn’t know. She still had his coat pulled around her shoulders tightly, and was sitting on the bench. She pulled her legs up onto the bench, and began to sing a song to herself softly. She didn’t even realize she was doing it.

It was a song her mother had sang to her many times when she was a little kid, and it had stuck with her. It had gotten her through many a hard nights. She reached into her bag and pulled out an old, torn photo, turning it over in her hands. It was one of her parents and a smaller her, smiling and laughing in front of the Christmas Tree.

She felt tears coming to her eyes, and pushed them back, placing the photo back in her bag. She could feel herself getting sick again, yet with what this time she didn’t know. She seemed to be doing that more and more often now.

Ashlyn looked over at David from her spot on the couch. She moved over to the side, trying not to look at him. He was letting her stay here, though he kind of had to. Though he probably knew full well that she couldn’t turn him in to the cops without turning herself in as well; for before, when they were dating, she had helped him in one of his runs out to ‘borrow’ a car. She had helped him steal it. She didn’t know why; back then, she was such a mess, and had somehow convinced herself that she loved him. Yeah, right.

She looked back at the screen, and soon he turned it off. “You coming to bed?” he asked. Ashlyn nodded, resisting the urge to throw up; he acted like they were a married couple! She mumbled something under her breathe as she stood up. She would sleep on the couch, but it had springs sticking up everywhere and she swore she heard something crawling around inside it the night before.

She walked into his room, and grabbed her pajamas out of her bag. She was about to leave to change, when he spoke.

“You can do that here. I won’t look,” He teased. She gave him a not-so-nice gesture with her hand, and walked into the bathroom instead. He chuckled and slipped off his shirt.

She came back a few minutes later with a pair of shorts and a tank top, crawling into bed next to him. She tried to keep her distance from in by staying on the edge of the bed, but he wrapped an arm around her waist and pulled her closer. She scowled at him, though he couldn’t see it, having his eyes already closed in the dark. Ether giggled.

Hymn had woken up the day before, bruised and bloodied. She had cleaned herself up since then, but even now everything hurt and she had a large, purple bruise on her side that hurt every time she moved. She didn’t want to show it around anyone; pain wasn’t something she dealt well with, nor being vulnerable or hurt.

She was sitting in one of the many corridors now, flinching every time she took a breathe. She had her cloak over her face to hide the bruise on her forehead and her split lip. She hated being a fallen; they healed so slow!

She was still stressed out about Chris, feeling both hurt about what he had done and curious about what he had been doing. She did trust him, as she had said, yet she didn’t know what to do about it. She didn’t know what to say to him, and so she was avoiding him. Things felt strange now.

She forced herself to her feet, grunting in pain as she moved her side. She dusted the dirt off of her small dress and her cloak, everything sore. She began to walk slowly then, not even noticing as she passed by Chris’ cave.

Raven had tears in her eyes as she looked at the tree in front of her. She didn’t know what to do. Her brother was a fallen. She wrapped her arms around her knees tightly, sobs shaking her, as she remembered.

She had gone to find him the day before, only to see him near their old home. She had run to him, crying for him to please come back, but he had just pushed her off. And right when she thought he was going back normal, he had done something that she had never expected.

A young girl had been walking by, no older than 6, alone. She was lost, and cryingn, looking for her parents. Raven had seen the look in Sable’s eyes, and tried to stop him, but he just pushed her aside like some annoying, buzzing insect. She had watched helplessly as he first frightened the girl half to death, and then broken her arm. Yet he didn’t stop there, even as she and the young girl screamed for him to please stop. He had picked her up by the neck, and then when she stopped struggling, dropped her to the ground, where she hit her head and lay bleeding long after he was gone and Raven knelt by her, sobbing for the young girl’s life, for herself, for her brother.

She let out a long wail, trying to control herself. Never before had she hurt this bad. Her shoulders were shaking uncontrollably as the tears continued to fall. Her brother would never come back now. He was gone forever, and she had never felt so alone.

She felt like it was all her fault. Like she should have been able to stop him; after all, they knew each other better than anyone else. She knew the darkest parts of him, and him of her. Yet now….now he was gone.

She couldn’t stop her tears, and didn’t even try to quiet her sobs. She had made herself invisible and unheard to all humans around her, and now she couldn't stop her tears.

Sable hadn’t gone back to his normal self. He had done something, something bad. Yet he couldn’t remember what. Nothing seemed to make sense anymore as he wandered the underworld aimlessly; he didn’t even know his name, or where he was, or why. He didn’t want to be here, at least he didn’t think he did. Then why was he? He didn’t know.

Lenora was outside, hardly realizing it was dark now. She had tears in her eyes. Every night the nightmare came back. The nightmare that Dust was an unknown again, the glazed look in his eyes, that he didn’t know who she was….

She looked down at her drawing, and realized that she had done it again. She had drawn him like that. She tore it out and crumpled it up, setting it next to the others. There were at least 5 so far. She couldn’t get the image off of her mind, and it was there every time she closed her eyes. And the fear that it could one day become real was still there.

She felt tears coming to her eyes, and tried to hold them back. She wanted to see him now, just to make sure he was okay. She stood up and walked inside, dropping the crumpled up pieces of paper in the trashcan. She wanted to see Dust, make sure he was okay, but she was afraid. She curled up on the floor in a small ball, and was soon asleep. But even then, the nightmare came back.

He had his back to her. She was calling his name, yet when he turned around….he wasn’t the same. His eyes didn’t’ recognize her, she felt her heart sink in her chest….

And she woke up screaming.

Brianna was asleep, yet Ivy wasn’t letting her sleep very well. Even now she had her hand on her arms, giving her nightmares. Nightmares that Aline had wanted to leave her, that she didn’t want to be her guardian anymore. And it was obviously getting to her, for Brianna began to whimper in her sleep. Ivy stepped back, her job done. The nightmare would remain now, unless she was awoken.

Ivy found herself wanting to see Josh more and more everyday, however much she tried to deny it. His son was the new guardian she was up again, for crying out loud! It was….weird. She still didn’t feel right, liking someone who was married, who had kid. Yet she couldn’t help it.

Elliot was back in the underworld now, looking for Tyler. She was sick and tired of Andrew bringing Ellie to see her! She couldn’t’ take it anymore! She was going to stay here until someone came and made her leave.

She was trying to keep up her happy face, the optimistic attitude that she was known for, but it was getting hard, oh so hard. She wanted to stay with Tyler from now on, and she would, until someone made her leave.

Now she just had to find him.

Ava was in the tub, staring at the wall. She had been spending lots of time in the meadow lately, and had gotten very dirty. She let herself sink under the water, and found herself remembering all the times Blake had dumped her in here to wake her up. She smiled slightly at the memory. It was all because of Nick. Nick. She hated him so much; she could never have said that about anyone else before, yet now she was. She lifted her head out of the water, taking a deep breathe. She opened them, and screamed.

He was there! Right there, looking at her. Another scream escaped her lips, as her name formed on his lips. ‘Ava,’ he said. ‘Ava.’

“Get away from me!!” she screamed, as he stepped towards the tub. “Ava…” He said. “Stay away!!!” She screamed, voice raising. He didn’t seem to hear her, for he soon reached out and touched her arm. His touch felt real.

“Stop, please!” She yelled. “Get away!!”

Melanie had been doing her job the past day or two, just as she had to. She was doing all she could to make Hope miserable.

She didn’t want to; anything but. When she had tried to get Warren to change him back, she had only wanted the best for him! And she had guessed that she could still see him, just not as much. She had only wanted to help him. She didn’t want him to suffer. But now look what she had done, what she was being forced to do!

She was sitting in his room, next to his bed. She had her knees pulled up to her chest, sitting in the corner. She didn’t ever think she had seen him angry before, but now she had. And she had found she didn’t like it, especially not when it was directed at her. She loved him; she had only wanted to help him. But now….now everything was messed up. And she didn’t know if she could fix it or not.

Cora was laying in bed, trying to sleep, though doing anything but. 1 day. That was how long before the judgment; 1 day.

The next morning, when she woke up, it would be time. She didn’t know when they would come, just that they would come. She didn’t know what she would do then. She sighed, looking up at the ceiling. She felt tears coming to her eyes again, and try as she might to hold them back, one managed to escape. She knew she shouldn’t be fearing; that it would all be okay. But the fear still remained.

Carlisle was awake, pain and worry coursing through him. He didn't take the medicine he had been given fir the pain, that didn't matter to him. His worry for Cora, however, was rather relevant. He was worried she would be left alone and how she would deal. He worried about different he would be and how that even if he said it he knew his love for her would not be the same. He worried that he would end up like Robert, chasing Cora but she was never attainable to him. He turned over to face Cora and wrapped an arm around her waist to hold her close, "I love you." he told her.

Rose cried slowly in her bed, Carmen trying to comfort her.

Ashley sat downstairs on the couch, she didn't want to see Rose that way.

Annabell boredly walked through Heaven.

Lance sat down next to her. "Hey." He said quietly. "You alright?" He asked, reaching over ad toucjing her cheek lightly.

Mason watched as David. He was frowning deeply.

"David!" He suddenly yelled, leting only David him. He know had a smile on his face, he was gonna play some tricks on him.

Chris stepped out of his cave smileing. "Hymn." He said in a happy tone. "I have somthing I want to show you." He said coming up behind her. He stepped in front of her, he was smiling. "Come on." He said, then frowned. "Plaese stop hiding your face." He said, reaching out and pushing her hood back. He let out a small gasp, and touch her cheek, quickly pulling back. "What happened?" He asked worried.

Jade was sittong under the Crow tree yesterday. And she just knew when she saw that crow land that Sable was now a fallen. She was cryiong heavily. "No, no, no." She kept saying. She was waling along the streets invisable. Suddenly a cupid flew by. He was aiming his gold arrow at a girl near Hade, but he missed, it hit Jade instead. When an angel was hit by a black arrow they became, well... nothing. When hit by a gold arrow they turned human. The cupid crused under his breath, and disappeared, he wasn't gona get in trouble for this.

Jade didn't even realize what had happened. She walked to the park, looking for Raven. "Raven!" She called, walking pass her, she couldn't see her no more.

Dust was suddenly by her side. His arms were wrapped around her. "What's wrong?" HE asked, his voice frantic.

Sampson appeared next to Brianna, and sighed. He reached out to touch the girl. "Don't touch her!" Aline said appearing next to her, glareing at him. She reached out and woke her up gently. Sampson truned to Ivy. He bent the light around her so it looked as if Aline's lighting was srounding her.

Tyler was in the trown room, listening to Clara talk about something boreing. Somthing about a fallen, that was once a demon.

Blake banged on the door. "Ava! Ava!" He called. "What's wrong?"

Warren was with Hope. She was doing better, kinda, the only problem was Meliana. He was still very much in love with her, but right no, he was mad at her.

Laurinda jumped as she heard a voice, and then quickly relaxed when she saw it was Lance, offering him a small smile instead.

"I'm fine," She lied, ignoring the pain in her stomach. Her cheeks turned a light pink as he touched her cheek.

David jumped and sat up suddenly. Ashlyn looked up at him, sitting up slowly.

"What's your problem?" She mumbled. He looked around the room, eyes wide.

"Did you hear that??" He asked.

"Hear what?" She asked. He shook his head, slowly laying back down. "Nevermind. Go back to sleep," He said. She glared at him and lay back down, though he did the same thing as he did before.

Hymn looked at Chris when he appeared, quickly taking a step back so he couldn't push her hood back, but it was too late. She looked down at the ground.

"Nothing," She mumbled, and tried to pull her hood back up, yet as she did she flinched, the bruise on her side hurting even more.

Raven felt so alone; she didn't even know who to look to. She didn't know where Aden was, and she doubted he'd want to deal with a mess of a girl like her. She looked up when she heard her name, and saw Jade. She pushed herself to her feet, and suddenly something hit her; why couldn't she see her?

"Jade?" She asked, making herself visible to humans, fearing the worst.

Lenora looked at him, and placed her hand on his cheek. "You're okay..." She whispered. She felt teras streaming down her cheeks. "You're okay, you're okay," She kept repeating, over and over again, hugging him tightly.

Brianna woke with a start, and started to cry when she saw Aline. Ivy glared at both of them, and her eyes widened when she suddenly felt as though she were surrounded by lighting. She kept waiting for the pain, yet it didnt come.

Elliot soon had to sit down, her legs feeling weak undernaeth her. She sighed, and looked around, eyes tired and sad.

Melanie soon pushed herself to her feet. What would happen if she didn't do her job? What more could the goddess possibly do to her?

'Make Warren a fallen again,' a voice in the back of her mind said.

Ava didn't seem to hear Blake, and if she did, she was too far gone to realize it. Nick was still there; he was looking right at her! But he couldn't be!

"Get away from me!!" She screamed, becoming frantic now. He was still saying her name; why was he saying her name??

Cora looked up as Carlisle spoke, holding her close. She hadn't known he was awake. She smiled sadly at him, though she didn't know if he could see it in the dark.

"I love you, too," She said quietly, though the worry she held and the tears she was holding back were evident in her voice.

Mason wraped his hand around his wrist, allowing him to fell his touch. "David." He repeated, quieter. He still could only be heard by him. "You should watch your back." He said in a amazingly creepy voice. He suddenly twisted his wrist, not enough to break it, but enough to send pain shooting up through his arm.

He grabed her wrist. "Hymn." He said in a tone that said he ment bussiness. "What happened?"

Jade truned around, she was feeling strange. "How long have you been there?" She asked, looking around, she saw humans, but no angels or demons, it was strange.

Dust frowned. "Why wouldn't I?" He asked softly.

Aline hugged Brianna. "It's okay." She whispbered.

Sampson let the light return to normarl.

"I'm coming in!" Bleak called, and opened door. "Av, what wrong?" He asked, his cheeks red. He picked up a towel, and wraped it around her, and pulled her out of the tub. His face grew reder. He saw nothing.

David's eyes widened, and he winced as pain shot up his arm. Ashlyn looked at him, and saw the look on his face.

"What's your problem??" She demanded. He shook his head, and stood up. "Nothing,' He mumbled. "I'll be right back...I think I need medicine..." He mumbled, and left the room. Ashlyn sat up in the bed, looking around.

"Mason," She said suddenly. "That was you, wasn't it?"

Laurinda shrugged. "I just...don't feel good," She mumbled. An understatement. Her stomach hurt, and she felt nacious again. She couldn't figure out why; maybe it was the way she as living, or maybe she had caught a bug again.

Hymn glared at him, pulling out of his grasp.

"Some demons decided it would be fun to pick on the fallen," she said. "And I decided I didn't want to deal with it anymore."

Raven wiped her tears away slowly. "The whole time," she said quietly. "Jade...are you..........human?" She finally managed to ask.

Lenora felt her tears staining his shirt. "I...I don't know. I just had a nightmare," She whispered. "A---Again."

Ivy stumbled back, and glared at Sampson. "Watch it, angel," she spat.

Brianna hugged Aline back, yet was unable to stop her tears.

Ava gasped and looked up as Blake came in.

"You don't see him??" She cried, as he wrapped the towel around her. She didn't even seem to notice. "He's...he's right---" she started, but he was gone. Her hands were shaking. "He...He was right there..." she whispered.

Mason didn't anwser her, not yet. He still had more to do. He followed Daivd out of the room. Suddenly he made thing lift up in the air, around him. He was getting better with his power. "Don't touch her." He said, only for David to hear. "Of this will be your head." He said, as something brakable broke against a wall, making more a mess. It was a lie, he wouldn't do that, but David didn't know that.

Link stood up, and pulled her to her feet. "Come on." He said.

Jade looked surpised. "I'm dead, I'm sure of that." She said, rubbing her neck. She looked around again. She wasn't so sure.

Suddenly Sampson had Ivy pinned up by her neck. "Watch it Demon." He said. It was hard to believe he was the same cute little bioy that would tug at daddy's pants begging him to play with him.

Blake kissed her forehead. "Get dress." He said softly. "I'll make sure he's where he still needs to be."

Carlisle looked down at her sadly, "It will all be over tomorrow." he reassured her, "After tomorrow we can be together without that threat hanging over us." he said.

David gripped the counter tightly. He must be going crazy; he had to be. Yet it all felt so real. Ashlyn groaned and stepped out of bed, running into the kitchen.

"What was that?" She demanded. David looked at her, a mixture of fear and anger in his eyes. "Nothing," He mumbled. "go back to bed."

Ashlyn's hands were clenched into tight fists as she walked back into his room. "Mason, if you can hear me, back off," she hissed. "I can handle this myself; it's my life, not yours."

Laurinda frowned. "Why?" She asked, but stood up nonetheless. She groaned lightly as the world began to spin slightly; that wasn't good.

Hymn nodded slowly. "Sure," she said quietly. She tried to pull her hood back over her head, but just lifting her arms made her want to cry; her side hurt so bad. She let her arms fall back to her sides instead.

Raven sighed. "Jade, look at me," she said. She turned invisible to humans. "Do you see me now?" She asked, keeping her voice visisble to humans.

Lenora shook her head, pulling back and looking at him. "You....you were an unknown again," She whispered, her voice shaking. "You didn't know me. You--You didn't recognize me," She whispered. "It was as if you had never see--seen me before."

Ivy's eyes widened slightly, and she struggled to get down and out of his grasp. It wasn't working; she suddenly hated being so small.

Ava nodded slowly, only then realizing what she was wearing. Or...not wearing. Her cheeks turned red and she looked down at the ground. What had just happened? She could have sworn he was there...but...he couldn' t have been.

Mason was sitting on the edge of the bed. "But I couldn't standing seeing him.... holding you like that." He said softly, his voice only heard by her. He was only visable to David, to give him one last shock when he came back.

Chris led her down seemingly random halls.

Fear sweap through Jade.. "N- n- n- no." She said, tears rolling down her face.

Dust held her tighter. "That won't happen." He said softly.

Sampson droped the little demon onto the floor, and truned to Brisanna.

Blake closed the door behind him.

Ashlyn looked almost as if his words had effected her for a moment; she quickly shook it off.

"This is my life, Mason," she said. "You're here to protect me, but right now, David poses no danger, at least not physically," she growled. "So stay out of it."

Laurinda blinked once as he picked her up, and tried to wriggle out of his grasp. "Put me down," She protested. "I'm fi---" she started, but quickly closed her eyes as she felt nacious once more.

Hymn was following silently, each step hurting worse than the last. She didn't even seem to be wondeirng what he wanted to show her.

Raven became visible again. "Jade, what happened?" She asked quietly, her eyes feeling heavy from all the tears she had shed.

"How do you know??" Lenora cried. "It happened already. I'll never forget the way you looked at me that time," she whispered. "The fear of you never remembering me...it was worse than anything I'd ever felt before," She cried.

Brianna was looking at Sampson with a mixture of thankfulness and....fear, in her eyes. She was afraid of her guardian!

She glared slightly at him, moving back and keeping close to Aline. Ivy stood up slowly, glaring at him as well.

Ava took one last look around the small bathroom, as if to make sure he really wasn't there, before dressing quickly in a simple pair of jeans and a long sleeved shirt. She stared at her pale face in the mirror; her hands were still shaking, her heart beating a million miles a minute inside her chest.

Cora didn't say what she was thinking; 'But what if it isn't all over? What if they change you back?'

She instead nodded. "Okay," she whispered.

"Where are we going?" Hymn asked quietly, breaking the silence. She wouldn't say so, but she felt close to tears with the pain the bruise on her side was giving her with each step.

Ava soon made her way out of the bathroom and down to the living room, where she sat on the couch, pulling Angel and Demon closely to her chest. Luckily, they weren't talking to her anymore.

"Now who's going crazy?" She asked. He glared at her and layed back down. She stayed off to the side, and for once he didn't push her by pulling her closer. She closed her eyes, trying to fall asleep. It wasn't working.

Raven realized then that she probably didn't know about Sable, either. She looked away, tears in her eyes. "I'm sorry, Jade," She said quietly.

Laurinda didn't let herself change completely; her rough outer shell was still there, and she couldn't help a sarcastic remark that slipped past her lips.

"You think?" She asked sarcastically, but her voice was strained, in pain.

Lenora's lip quivered, and she nodded, unable to stop her tears. She felt her shoulders shaking as she kept her arms wrapped around him tightly.

Brianna stuck her tongue out at him in response. Ivy rubbed her neck, mumbling something under her breathe about angels.

Carlisle was thinking the same things and although he would voice it his grip on her tightened slightly. "Try to get some sleep." he told her calmly.

"You'll see." Suddenly picking her up, he kept walking. Moments later he set her down in a hall rarely used. One wall was covered in a single drawing. He drew it for her. There was alot or intertwining partterns, and in the middle was a desgin simlar to the one she drew and his old cave.

"Remember what I said." Mason gave him one final warning, and walked over to the otherside of the room.

She rubbed her eyes. She didn't know why she was saying sorry, so she just nodded. "I was looking for you, because I saw the crow... I just needed to know...." She didn't finsh.

Sampson just smiled.

Hymn's eyes widened as she was set down once more, and she looked at the drawing. This....this was he had been working on? The whole time she had been so upset with him, so angry....he had been doing this??

She took a few hesitant steps towards it, her eyes taking in every part of it. A sudden pang of guilt hit her; she didn't understand why she had been so angry with him. She hadn't trusted him. She felt horrible.

She turned back to face him, and didn't realize that she was crying. She turned back to the drawing, saying nothing yet.

David's eyes widened upon hearing the voice, and he moved even farther away from Ashlyn in the bed. She didn't seem to notice, out like a light. Ether laughed.

Raven nodded. "He's---" She started, but a sudden sob cut her off. "He's gone," She whispered. She turned away, trying in vain to hide her tears.

Laurinda fell silent then, and closed her eyes. She hated being so small, though it seemed convienent at times like these.

Ava stared straight ahead, listening only to the ticking of the clock and the beating of her own heart.

Lenora pulled back. "I'm sorry," She whispered. "I'm sorry, I didn't mean--- "She started, but cut herself off, instead shaking her head.

Cora nodded, though she knew sleep was the farthest thing from her mind right now. She closed her eyes, yet her mind was racing far too fast for her to actually relax.

Carlisle closed his eyes as well but didn't sleep, he was too anxious for tomorrow. He sighed lightly and tried to sleep with no avail.

Chris just watched her silently.

Jade stepped back crying. She wanted to disappear, but no she was human. That when she realized she had bigger problems then Sable, altrough she only wanted to worry about Sable. She didn't remember how to be human! And she couldn't just let herself strave to death, if she didn't try to live she would be a demon. A demon... she would be with Sable.
