The big city.

Cora looked at Carmen. "Thanks," She said quietly. "Thank you so much." She then looked at Rose. "We still need to get him to a hospital," she said softly.

Carmen smiled, "You're welcome." She said, "I'd go with he fell down some stairs, that will explain the bruising and broken ribs." she added. She looked at Carlisle for a moment, "You're lucky to be alive..." she said somberly.

Carlisle looked at Carmen with gratitude and then back up at Cora with a smile.

Rose nodded, "How should we get him there?" she asked.

((hey, I just came to say that because my uncl got in a car crash and the car is totalled. My cousin Harley is staying with me for a couple days. I know you and probably wanting to ask if he's still alive lol. He's ok he just got wiplash from being hit in the back of the car. His neck should feel better soon ^_^ ok gtg she's here now. "Can you uhm...drive?" Cora asked quietly, knowing she couldn't. "Or just...take us there?" She was still looking beyond worried.

"In theory. He'll have to walk to get inside but I think together we can support most of him." Rose said.

Carmen decided she wasn't needed and disappeared.

Carlisle tried to sit up slowly, a string if curses escaping his lips as his broken bones ached from trying. As he stood up Rose was there in an instant to support what weight she could. "Hey, at least when you tell them we are married it won't be a lie this time." he joked with Cora. Rose was struggling as she tried to keep him up.

Cora nodded, and was up in a moment, helping her support the rest of his weight. She blinked, and another tear fell down her cheek, but she ignored it, focusing on just helping him right now.

With a head turn and slight wince Carlisle looked at Cora and gave her a small smile. He unwrapped his arm from around Rose and supported his weight himself. "I'm fine, love." he told her as he turned to face her fully. He whipped her tear away with his thumb, "Don't cry." he said.

Cora shook her head tightly, biting her lip. "I'm not crying," She protested, but her voice cracked. She had to resist the urge to wrap her arms around him then, for fear of hurting him further. "Come on, you need to get to the hospital," She said quielty.

"Fine but please, don't cry." Carlisle begged. He turned again as Rose wrapped his arm over her shoulders. Rose then disappeared after we readjusted herself to even out his weight. She reappeared in front of the hospital. She walked slowly towards the emergency room entrance.

Laurinda sat up slowly the next morning, looking at the jacket around her shoulders. She blinked in surprise; this wasn’t hers. She looked at it closely, and realized that it must be Lance’s. She felt her cheeks turn a light red, and she quickly pulled it off.

She stood up slowly, stretching. She looked up at the sky, and figured it must be around 10 am. She was normally up way before this; she must have been really tired.

She looked at the bag he had left her, and bit her lip before putting it in her backpack, and putting that on her shoulders. She would return his jacket the next time she saw him….

She slipped it on quickly, though it hung off her shoulders. She was cold, though it was still summer. She then began to walk, bag slung over her left shoulder. She felt her stomach growl, but ignored it, at least for now. Eventually she would have to eat something that Lance had given her, but her pride prevented that right now.

Cora was asleep in the chair at the hospital. She hadn’t left all night, and somehow they had allowed her to say, since this time she actually was married to him. She had stayed awake as long as she could, almost all night, and then had finally drifted off to sleep early this morning. Her eyes were red and tired, but besides that there was no evidence that she had spent half the night crying.

She was worried about the judgment; it was crawling closer and closer, and what Damon had said was making her worry, perhaps more than anything else. She didn’t want to see him go back to the way he was.

Lenora was downstairs at James’ house, laying on the floor, still asleep. She was still too stubborn to take the couch, though the floor hurt her back more and more each day. She didn’t seem to care. She wouldn’t sleep on it; he should, he was the guest.

She wondered how long Dust would stay. She knew he still needed to prove he wouldn’t fall, and after that, would he go to heaven, get a job? Would she see him anymore?

She frowned lightly, sitting up slowly and opening her eyes. She groaned slightly; her back hurt, a lot. She stood up and stretched, ignoring the pain.

Hymn didn’t know what to think.

Part of her wanted to go find Chris, and demand just what he had been doing. She wanted to trust him, she wanted to forgive him, but all that she had felt while he was gone…..it couldn’t be taken away with a few kind words.

She looked up from her spot in the corridor, a long ways away from his caves. Demons walked by, called her a disgrace. She normally would have yelled at them, but they could sense something was wrong with her. She heard them whisper as they walked by.
‘What’s got you so down, Hymn?’ one teased her. She scowled at him, and he walked on.

Sable was in heaven, sitting under the crow tree. He was thinking. About Jade, about Raven, about everything. He was still worried sick about his sister; after all, Aden was bad news. But he couldn’t stop her. He loved her too much to keep her from someone she wanted to be with, talk to.

He sighed, laying back and looking up at the tree, all the crows. It was beautiful, yet scary.

Raven climbed up higher into the tree, gripping the branch tightly with her hands, the bark digging into her skin. She slipped, but managed to catch herself before she fell. She climbed up higher, soon stopping on one of the highest branches. She looked down at the ground, so far below her, then up at the sky. She closed her eyes, taking a deep breathe of the fresh air. It was so nice out.

She opened her eyes, the smile still on her face. She wanted to see Aden again, and Sable. She was slowly falling in love with Aden, she knew that. She wanted to see him again. She yawned, and started climbing up higher.

Ashlyn was taking the day off of work. She had called in sick, though she obviously wasn’t.

She picked up the phone, and dialed Chip’s number, his cell number. After leaving a message, she took her bags, and left.

She was at the subways soon, and by the time 10 am came around, she was already where she was heading. She had left her apartment empty behind her, save for her food and a few things she didn’t need. She had packed quickly.

She knocked on the door, and someone answered quickly.

“Ash?” They asked.

Ashlyn pushed past them and set her bags down on the ground. “You told me if I was ever in trouble, I could come to you, right??” She asked. The man turned to look at her, closing the door.

“Yeah, but---“ He started.

“Well, I’m in trouble now,” She said.

“What, did’ya finally kill someone?” He asked. Ashlyn glared at him.

“No,” She said. “I just need…a place to stay for a bit. Until I find another.”

He sighed. “Fine,” He said.

“Thanks, David,” She said, and leaned up and kissed him on the cheek. He ignored her and mumbled something, pointing to a room down the hall.

“My room is down there. Just put your stuff in there,” He said. Ashlyn nodded and walked down the hall, opening the door to the familiar room. She dropped her things on the floor and walked back out.

David was an old boyfriend of hers, from when she lived here at age 17, before they moved. He was 19 then, and now that she was 18, he was 20. She had never really liked him much; she got into fights, but he stole things, cars included. She broke up with him when she found out he was stealing again, after he had promised to stop. She had told him before she left, that if she ever needed anything, he’d better help her, or else she’d call the cops. So maybe he hadn’t really agreed. But he had said that to her once, before all of that had happened.

Ava was humming to herself, sitting on the couch with a book in hand. She wished she could see Noah again, to thank him. She was so grateful for what he had done for her, getting rid of Nick. She looked up, and took her violin and walked outside.

She walked through the woods, and soon stood in the meadow. She began to play a soft tune, controlling it so that if anyone heard it they wouldn’t’ be influenced. She had learned to do that before the wedding.

Elliot was wandering the underworld, searching for Tyler. She couldn’t take another minute of Andrew; he was relentless! He wouldn’t let her go.

“Ty!” She called, cupping her hands around her mouth to make her voice heard. “Ty!”

She had seen Ellie again, and it had sent her over the edge. Her eyes, the sadness, the hurt, the brokenness…and she had told her it was all her fault, and she had already known that. But hearing it from her only made it worse.

Carlisle lay in the hospital bed, he was dead asleep from the pain killers he had been given. He had been forced to wear a hospital gown and he begrudgingly did so. Underneath them however his chest was covered in stitches from surgeries, and bruises from Damon. His right arm was broken and his left foot sprained.

He was having what seemed like an endless nightmare that there was no escaping from. He winced and whined as it continued.

Rose, Ashley, Carmen, and Annabell waited in the waiting room for them. they had refused to leave despite the doctor's persisting. Annabell was asleep on Rose's lap. Ashley had he head on Carmen's shoulder. Carmen leaned against a wall. Rose was still alert and awake as she waited for any news.

Damon wondered the underworld aimlessly.

Dust was sleeping net to her. He refused to sleep on the cough. And truthfully, he didn't mind sleeping next to her.

Jade sat next to him. "Hello." She said with a smile.

Mason made himself visable to her. 'Who's this guy?!" He demaned, not revealing the little bit of jealously he had.

Blake sat hidden in the trees, and listened to her.

Tyler appeared next to her. "Yes, love?"

Lenora almost tripped over Dust's sleeping form, but managed to catch herself before she did. She smiled slightly down at him, then sat down on the ground again, leaning against the couch. She looked down at his sleeping form, a small smile making its way across her face. She reached down a hand, as if to touch his cheek, but quickly pulled it back. She was worried, though she didn't show it. She wanted him to be able to prove himself, but once he did, would he be able to stay?

Sable jumped, deep in thought, when he heard a voice. He looked over, and saw that it was Jade. He quickly relaxed, and offered her a small smile. "Hey," He said, finally taking his eyes off of the crow tree.

Ashlyn jumped. "Darn..." She mumbled. "I really thought you might have stayed behind this time."

She sighed, and walked down the hall. "An old friend," She said simply, coming into the kitchen.

"Who are you talking to?" David asked, from his spot at the table in his small ktichen.

"No one," Ashlyn said. She began to rummage through his fridge.

"Just make yourself at home," He said sarcastically, rolling his eyes.

Ava wouldn't have noticed Blake even if he made himself seen to her; she was too far in her own world, as she was everytime she played on her violin. It was as if everything had faded from around her; the only thing she was thinking about was the notes she was playing, and where she had leanred them; from her mother.

Elliot jumped, then spun to face him. She smiled, but it wasn't her normal, upbeat smile; it was sadder. "Hi," She said softly. "I uhm...can I talk to you?" She asked quietly, biting her lip.

Cora awoke to a noise from the bed next to her. She opened her eyes and looked over at Carlisile's sleeping form, a deep frown making its way to her already frowning face. She cautiously placed a hand on his arm, gently, so as not to hur thim any more than he already was. He looked like he was having a bad dream.

Hymn glared at all of those who walked by. This place was so stupid; they walked on with no goal. They just passed their days tormenting each other or humans. The afterlife was so empty.

She stood up and began to walk, but those who came by her tripped her. She felt like she was surrounded by a bunch of little kids, which was what they were acting like.

The next one who tripped her pushed her over the edge. She glared at him and grabbed his arm, twsiting it behind his back roughly until she heard a 'pop'. It wouldn't do much; he was a demon, and he simply pushed it back into place, glaring at her the whole time. He pushed her back, and she hit her back against the wall. Fallens didn't heal as quickly as demons, and she felt blood in her hair. She didn't care; she stood up again, glaring at him. He smirked.

"What, the little fallen can't fight?" He teased. She found this a perfect opportunity to get rid of some of her pent up anger, and she ran at him again, pinning him to the ground. A few other demons had stopped to watch.

After a few moments of Cora touching him he stopped whining. His eye life slowly opened and he turned his neck to face her. "Hi..." he muttered, his brow was creased as he studied her face. "You okay?" he asked in concern. He didn't look up as a doctor walked in and began to check all the tubes and machines connected to him.

"How are you?" She asked adsentmindly.

Tyler frowned slightly. "Sure." He said. "About?"

"I'm good," Sable said. He was still worried about Raven, that much was evident on his face from lack of sleep, but besides that, everything was looking better, much better than it had. He hardly even seemed to remember the days when he didn't know who he was, yet he still felt that part of him lingering somewhere in the back of his mind. He just hoped it never came back.

Ashlyn sat down at the table next to David, taking a bite of the sandwich she had just made.

"Still stealing cars?" She asked with a mouthful of food. He rolled his eyes.

"So what if I am? You gonna call the cops on me?" He asked, almost taunting her. She glared at him, and ignored his comment.

"You should be more careful," Ashlyn said, taking another bite. "You never know when you'll slip up."

David was flat-out ignoring her now. She threw a newspaper from the table at his head.

"Ellie," Elliot said softly. "I--I saw her. Back in the caverns," She said quietly. "I----" Her voice broke. "I don't know what....It was my fault," She said quietly. "She said so. That day...I was gone. Andrew told her I didn't want to be near her anymore, and that was why...she let him...kill her," She whispered.

Lenora watched his sleeping form for a few more moments before turning away. She had had a nightmare last night, again. The same one from so long ago. He had lost his soul again, and had that empty look in her eyes that hautned her. She didn't want to see him that way again; there had to be a way for him to prove himself. But how?

Cora sighed in relief as he opened his eyes. She smiled sadly at his question, shaking her head. "I should be the one asking you that question," She said quietly, taking his hand in hers lightly. She too hardly noticed the doctor's presence in the room.

Ava finally stopped playing, opening her eyes. She looked around for a moment before placing the violin carefully back in its case, and sitting down on the grass. The breeze blew by and she closed her eyes, taking a deep breathe of the fresh air.

Hymn glared at him as he pushed her off, and soon had her pinned down. He smirked at her.

"Can't move??" He asked. She kicked up with her leg as hard as she could, though it hardly seemed to have any effect on him. She smirked; she was enjoying this. She didn't care that he was hurting her. She didn't care about anything anymore, at least not right now. She spit in his face to get him to let her up, and he glared at her, and she knew that she had crossed the line. He picked her up and threw her to the side almost effortlessly, where she fell down to the ground. She heard laughter, which only made her angrier. She forced herself to her feet, blood dripping to the ground by her feet.

Melanie was thinking.

Warren surely didn't deserve what he had here, a life as a fallen. It was her fault, she knew that. And she wanted to make it right. But everytime she thought she had come up with a plan to help him, she thougth of something that would prevent it. There had to be a way; there just had to. And she would find one if it was the last thing she did.

Brianna was outside, knocking on James' door. She didn't care what her dad said; she wanted to see him. She was humming to herself, in a surprisingly good mood for someone whose parents were fighting more and more each day, and who had a demon standing next to her even now.

"I asked you first." Carlisle told her, "Plus, with you here I'm better than okay." he added with a boyish grin.

"Good news Mr. Moore, if you promise to take easy you can go back home with your wife." the doctor told him, Carlisle nodded, "I'd also appreciate if you made sure the four young ladies waiting for you two cleared out as well. One if them seems rather I'm edge." he added as he walked out.

A nurse walked in and began to disconnect everything connected to Carlisle. Even with the women removing things from him he still looked at Cora.

Jade leaned over and kissd his cheek. "I'm gald." She said.

Blake slipped out of the tree and smiled at her.

James opened the door, yawing. "Yeah?" He had just woke up. All he was wearing was a pair of old jeans, with holes in them. He didn't even realize.

Sable smiled. "Yeah, me too," He said softly. He felt a sharp pain in the back of his head, but he ignored it. He didn't even realize what it could have meant. His mind was far off now.

Ashlyn glared at Mason. "Shut up! Who are you to judge me??" She demanded. David finally looked at her.

"Wow, Ash. You finally went insane, huh?" He asked. Ashlyn realized then that she had been talking to no one to him, and shook her head.

"No, just tired," She mumbled, looking down at the table.

"What exactly happened?" David asked, as if he cared. She wasn't so easily fooled.

"Doesn't matter," She said.

Ether shrugged, looking at Mason. "I like him," She grinned.

Elliot shook her head back and forth, but hugged him back. "I think that the worst thing is, that he's right," She said quietly. "He was right all along. I was never fit to be a guardian; I always fail. Maybe it's better....that I'm like this now," She said quietly. "I was never useful as an angel. Maybe I deserve to be like this." She really sounded like she meant it, and she did.

Ava opened her eyes and saw a figure, and jumped, eyes widening, until she realized who it was. "H--How long have you been there?" She asked quietly, looking up at him from her spot on the grass, her violin still laying next to her.

Brianna noticed what he was wearing, causing her cheeks to turn a light pink, but she ignored it.

"Hi," She said quietly, slightly taken off by his greeting. She hadn't talked to him in a long time, and she had missed him.

Cora kept her sad smile as they began to disconnect him. She was glad he would be able to go back, but she also felt a fear in the back of her mind that Damon might come back. Her grip on his hand tightened slightly.

The demon easily had Hymn on the ground again within moments. She felt his fist connect with her face, then a foot in her stomach, repeatedly. She sat up, coughing and gasping for air. She couldn't die, but it sure as heck hurt. Fallens healed a bit faster than humans, but barely. She coughed again, and realized only then that she was coughing up blood. This only earned laughter from those around her. The demon eventually left, and she felt herself bleeding from several cuts and a wound on her head, and she could still taste blood in her mouth and feel it on her chin.

As the nurse finished disconnecting the machines another walked in with crutches. "Take is easy on your foot for a week or two, as for the arm come back in a month and we'll remove that cast. The stitches will dissolve." she told them. "After you get ready you may go." the two nurses then left the room, shutting the door behind them.

Carlisle sighed and slowly leaned forward, he still held her hand. He looked around the room, "Where's my shirt?" he asked.

Jade took his hand. "Sable." She said softly, a small smile on her lips. "You should do something with Raven soon. Maybe we both should."

"So do I." Felix said appearing next to them. He was a falln now.

"Thats not true." Tyler said. "You are not ment to be a demon. Your'e to sweet. You wouldn't hurt a flea."

"A while." Blake said with a smile.

James yawnd again. "What time is it?"

Sable nodded. "Yeah," He said. He winced as he felt another pain in his head, but quickly shook it off. He held her hand in his own. Suddenly he asked her something.

"Have Ruby and Zinc been bothering you lately??" He asked.

Ether laughed. "Long time no see. How are you liking the underworld??" She asked him.

Ashlyn glanced at Felix, frowned, and looked away. She was drumming her fingers on the table now, until David glared at her. Then she just did it louder.

Cora was pulled out of her daze by his voice.

"Oh," She mumled. She let go of his hand for a moment and ran over to the chair she had been sleeping on, picking up the shirt. She walked over to him and put it over his shoulders, helping him get his arms in it without hurting his broken one, causing her to blush lightly.

Ava frowned, then slowly returned his smile, though she was embarrassed. She looked around the meadow, then closed her eyes again for a moment. When she opened them, she was smiling again.

"I love this place," she said softly. "I would come here all the time, when the fighting got to be too much," She said quietly. "And even though this is the place that caused my death, I still love to come here," She said softly. Lately she had been sleepign better at night, though the dark still terrified her. She had to fall asleep with the light on. She felt like a little kid again.

Brianna grinned, and looked at her wrist. "10:30!" She chirped happily. "Why?"

Elliot shook her head. "But I did," She said quietly, burying her face in his chest. "It's my fault that so many of them died."

Hymn pushed herself to a stiting position against the wall, but soon slumped down. A few demons still walked by, but none helped the fallen who lay bleeding against the wall. And why should they?

Alice was on her computer, on her chat room talking to some of her friends. She was bored and had wanted to talk to someone and found a few of her friends online. They were joking around back and forth with eachother on the instant messanger.

Bailey was in her room on the floor playing with her toys. Brownie was in the room with her. He kept stealling a doll and chewing on it when she wasn't looking. Since he was getting bigger it was getting hadder to take the dolls out of his mouth and save them from being chewed on.

Layla followed James to the door and looked at Brianna. After a moment she walked off and sat down in the living room looking bored.

Penny was with Adrian. She had dragged him with her to hid from George. She loved her brother but he kept acting like he was their father. She was getting annoyed with it. So every chance she got she ran off and hid from him for a while then showed up again and listen to him go on about having to stay with him inthe underworld.

"Thanks." Carlisle said as he grabbed the crutches and used them to stand up, he carefully set his broken arm on one and tried to step forward carefully. He chuckled as he had to practice some, "Well this will be awkward..." he muttered. "Ready to go?" he asked as he readjusting himself.

Damon had just gotten a charge. He appeared in her room and chuckled at the dog chewing on her dolls.
"Hello..." he said devilishly.

Jade frowned. "I donno. I been to scared to go to earth without you." She admitted.

"Loads of fun." He said rolling his eyes. "The demons just can't get enough of me." He glared at Mason. "Why are you her gurdain?" He asked. "nevermind I don't care."

Blake sat next to her. "Really, I didn't noticed." He said playfully.

"That early!?" James asked. "I'm going back to bed, don't wake me until three." He said, about to close the door.

Tyler held her close. "Elliot....." His voice trailed off.
