The big city.

Carlisle didn't know what to say to her, "Cora, I..." he moved closer to her and stayed there to comfort her.

Cora didn't know how long she layed there with her head buried in the pillow. Minutes? Hours?

She just knew that by the time she finally looked up, her eyes were no doubt red, her cheeks tear stained. She sniffled and looked away.

"Sorry," she whispered. She just wanted this whole thing to be over, and for things to go back to 'normal'. What was normal, anyways? It had been too long for her to remember.

Carlisle's blue eyes looked at her puffy red ones and he frowned deeper, if that was even possible. "No need to apologize for having feelings." he told her, his voice still soft.

Rose and Ashley sat in the living room, Rose braiding Ashley's hair as they watched tv.

Cora shrugged.

"But I'm worrying you, aren't I?" She asked quietly. She laughed wryly, shaking her head as she sat up. "I'm worried about you, yet it's causing all this," She said quietly, shaking her head at herself. "I just don't know what to do anymore." She wiped the tears away with the back of her hand, looking away.

Carlisle sat up as well and smiled at her weakly, "Please, don't worry like this." he said, "If I do become a demon again I want to spend my time as a human with the women I fell in love with rather than the one who worries about whether or not I'm going to be here for you." he said, "I love you and I want, now I need, you to be happy."

Cora hesitated for a moment, then slowly nodded. It was so hard, going on like this. And she loved him so much, even more every day, especially since their wedding, and she hated to worry him, or make him sad. And she felt as though that was exactly what she was doing.

She smiled slightly at him, and nodded.

"You're right. I'm sorry," She said quietly.

"Don't be, your human and can't help it." Carlisle said. He then kissed her lightly yet passionately on the lips

Cora's eyes widened in surprise, but she didn't protest. In fact, she kissed him back, realizing now just how much she loved him. She wrapped her arms around his neck, yet this kiss was different somehow. She closed her eyes, losing herself in it.

Carlisle wrapped and arm around her waist, his hand at the small of her back. He kissed her deeply, suddenly wanting more than he thought she wanted but he didn't want to pull away from her.

Aline slapped her hand away. She was sitting next to the little girl, frowning.

Suddenly Josh appered. He looked pass Ivy, and at his sister. "How are you today, my sweet little sister?" It was strange, he would normarlly show Ivy afftion first, this time he didn't even look at her.

A young boy ran into the cave, he was about 14 or 15. He looked fightened. He had black hair, the color Jake's used to be when he was alive, and light gray eyes.

"Little boy!" Said a lone demon comeing to a stop in front of the enternce.

The boy stuck his tounge out. "Haha! You can't get me now!!" He mocked.

The demon frowned. "I don't see Jake anywhere in here." She said stepping in. "How wonderful you'll taste!"

The boy took a step back. "Really I don't taste good!"

Jade was sitting in heaven, she was frowning. She felt as if she sould remeber something, but she couldn't. Were they lost forever to her?

Aden looked at the girl. "What do you want?"

Chris was stood in the enterence of his old cave, silently. He didn't know how long he been there, wacthing the girl, the girl he loved.

Mason wacthed her quietly. He was sad she wasn't talking to him, but then again, he wouldn't talk to guy that had just died etier.

George appeared in James' room and looked at him but didn't say anything. He wondered what Layla had to do that she wanted him to take over for a while.

Layla appeared in the hospital room Alice was in.

Alice glared at her. "what do you want now?", she asked.

Layla shrugged. "Nothing I just want to know if you were still alive, James is still kind of getting over what he saw that night", she said.

"Why do you care?", she asked. Layla shrugged again.

James glared at the demon. "Get out!" He spat.

George shook his head. "Can't Layla told me to stay here until she gets back", he said.

Layla walked over to Alice. "I'm not here to mess with you or anything", she said didn't say anythign.

She sighed. "I'm trying to get James to come visit you and to see if you're alrgiht but he won't come, so I decided to come instead", she said.

James spat at his feet. "I don't care what Layla said! I'm saying; get out of my house!"

George ignored him now.

"Why do you care if he sees me", she asked.

Layla shrugged. "I don't really care", she said then sighed. "Fine I'll leave you alone for now" she said and disappeared and reappeared in James' room.

James was getting annoyed.

Layla looked at George. "thanks George, you can leave if you want", she said.

He nodded and disappeared.

"GET OUT!" James yelled at LAyla

Layla rolled her eyes. "Someone's in a bad mood today...", she said.

"I need you to help me. Okay, well, not me, but my brother. But to help him you need to help someone else." she knew she was probably babbling, but it didn't stop her. "It's Jade. Her memories are gone. I need you to help me get them back." She looked at him, determined.

Elliot jumped to her feet when the boy came into the cave. She looked around for help but, seeing none, stepped in front of him. She glared at the lone demon.

"Don't touch him," She said, her voice even and low, her arms spread to protect him.

Ashlyn stood up and walked into the bathroom, and running water could be heard. A few moments later she was in the shower, attempting to clear her mind. This whole thing didn't make any sense to her. Mason couldn't be here. It had to be her imagination. It just had to be.

She stepped out of the shower a few moments later, and dried her hair before wrapping herself in a towel and walking back into her room. The fact that he was probably still there didn't bother her; it was her imagination, after all. She had decided that now. Something her mind had made up to keep her alive, against her.

She let the towel fall and got dressed quickly, now wearing a new pair of pajamas. She didn't plan on leaving the house any time soon, after all. She smoothed out her plaid pants and long sleeved shirt, both of which covered the majority of her scars before putting the towel in the dirty clothes and laying back down on the bed. Her contacts were out, showing her natural pale blue eyes instead of their normal silver.

Lenora heard James yell, and ran upstairs in time to see Layla roll her eyes and make a comment about him. She glared at her, and walked over to James.

"James, have you thought about visitng Alice?" She asked simply.

Brianna smiled gratefully at Aline when she got Ivy away from her, though it was obvious that she was still upset. She didn't even look at Josh, having grown used to him around here more.

Ivy did look at him, however, and felt something in her that she didn't recognize. Jealousy.

If Cora had anything else in mind than what Carlisle did, she didn't show it. She didn't even pull back, moving closer and closing her eyes, keeping her arms wrapped around his neck.

Hymn soon stood up, closing her eyes and taking a deep breathe to calm herself. She still felt so guilty. She turned and walked to the entrance of the cave, her eyes still closed. She knew her way around well enough. She didn't even sense Chris was there until she ran into him. Once again.

Carlisle leaned her back until she was lying on the bed. His lips briefly left hers to travel down her neck, "Are you sure?" he asked in between each kiss placed tenderly on her smooth skin.

Aden raised his eyebrows, a smile cam to his lips. 'Why I would love to help."

"Oh, Jake's little pet!" The demon mused. She looked at the angel. "I will eat you one day, Kindell, you stupid angel." She said and left.

Kindell threw his arms around Elliot, from behind. "Thank you!" Said the younger version of Jake.

mason disappered as soon as she dropped the towel. When she was dressed he reappered, not looking happy. "Don't do that!"

Aline and Josh began to talk. A few minutes later he disappered, not saying one word to Ivy.

Chris laguhed. "You have no idea how I missed that."

Raven frowned at the smile. She didn't trust it, not one little bit. But he was the only hope she had. The only hope that JAde had, or Sable had. So she would have to trust him, at least for now. So she nodded.

"How?" She asked.

Elliot glared at the demon until it was gone. She jumped when the boy hugged her from behind, biting her lip to keep from screaming at the sudden pain his hug brought to her wings. Instead, she just nodded.

"Why are you here? It's not safe," She said, slowly removing his hands from her and turning to face him.

Lenora sighed.

"Why not?" She asked. "You two are back together, right? How do you think she feels, her boyfriend not coming to see her after she was shot in the head? She could have died," She said, though she regretted the words almost as soon as she had said them.

Ivy watched Josh until he left, her face impassive. Emotions were a fickle, stupid, human thing. What need did she have for them now? Especially about him ?

She looked at Brianna again, who had fallen asleep.

Hymn listened to him laugh, and didn't say how much she had missed that. Instead, she just smiled at him, but it was obviously forced. She still felt so guilty. She hated the way he made her feel, yet loved him. It was so stupid.

She took a step back, still trying to smile.

Ashlyn didn't seem to hear Mason. She ignored him, closing her eyes for a moment. She told herself that when she opened them, he would be gone. But he was still there when she opened them.

She walked into the bathroom and came back a few moments later with a bottle of pills. Sleeping medicine.

"After a good amount of sleep, he'll be gone," She mumbled, taking out more than the recomended dose into her hand.

Cora kept her arms around his neck, and when he asked her, she just nodded. She loved him; that was all she needed to know, wans't it? She wasn't scared anymore.

Ava wanted to go back. Back to Blake. She couldn’t stand being away from him, especially not for this long. She closed her eyes tightly as a single tear ran down her cheek. She could find no way away from this man. Everything she tried failed. She had even tried reasoning with him, but he refused to listen, to see her side. It was hopeless. The only way anyone could help her was if that girl, Elliot, came back and helped. But she doubted she would know that anything was wrong.

She cried out again as Nick dragged her along with him. She tried to pull away, but he just gripped her tighter. Her nightmare had become a reality.

Laurinda continued down the street, her hands shoved in her jacket pockets. She was feeling strange, so strange. Yet….grateful, somehow. Grateful that Lance, or Link as she had heard him be called, hadn’t sent her to jail. She was 15, almost 16, and could be tried as an adult. Or worse, he hadn’t sent her back to her Aunt and Uncle.

She closed her eyes at the thought, shaking her head. Soon she was out of the main part of the city, into more residential areas. She didn’t know why she was here, since she spent most of her time in the city pickpocketing or stealing food, and only came here when she found an empty house. She continued walking, however, showing no signs of turning around any time soon.

Heather was not mad about what had happened at the hospital before, as Link had thought she might be. She was glad that he had helped that girl, and she was still by his side every moment, even now.

Carlisle's lips traveled back up to hers as one hand messed with the buttons on his shirt. He soon had it off and across the room in a pile on the floor as he kissed her deeply.
