The big city.

Aden smiled. "It's a start." He said. It was ovious he would still try to get her to fall for him, but who knows maybe he would really fall in love with her.

"I know, I know he wouldn't hurt you." Blake said.

"Are you hungry, Lulu?" Lane asked. "Or do you feel like throwing up?"

"I feel like throwing up now that you called me that," Laurinda mumbled, closing her eyes.

Raven frowned.

"I don't want you messing with my emotions," She said simply. "Not even without the use of your powers."

Cora sat down on the couch silently. She looked up at Ava, and smiled slightly. Ava smiled softly back.

Carlisle ignored Carmen and picked up the phone and dialed Blake's number, he silently waited for an answer.

Lance laughed. "Do you need anything?" Then the phone rang. He walked outinto the hall and picked it up. "Hello?"

Aden frowned. "What ever you say."

Blake snuck a glance at Ava.

"Is Blake there?" Carlisle asked, he wanted to make sure Cora was safe with her brother if she wasn't with him.

Ava smiled slighty at Blake, then looked back at Cora.

Cora was watching the two of them, and slowly a knowing smile spread over her face.

Laurinda shook her head and was about to speak just as the phone rang. She sat up slowly in the bed.

Raven stood up, and stretched just as Sable showed up.

"Raven! There you are," He said, just as he saw Aden. He stepped in front of his siter, glaring at him. "What are you doing here?" He demanded.

"Just haveing a pleasent converstion with Miss Raven here." He said.

Lance rolled his eyes. "Blake!"

Blake gave Ava one last smile before going up stairs. "Wh-"

Lance shoved the phone in his hands.

"Hello?" Blake said, wondering whowould want to talk to him.

Lance walked bavk into his room. "Sorry."

"Is she safe?" Carlisle said and then realized he might have to say more than that, "I mean Cora" he added quickly. "Is she there with you?"

Ava sat down next to Cora. She wanted to ask what had happened, but knew it was none of her business.

"You love him?" Cora asked Ava suddenly. Ava blinked in surprise, then nodded, her cheeks red. Cora found herself smiling.

Sable glared at him.

"You stay away from my sister," He demanded. Raven was silent, though she was frowning.

"I'm not 11 anymore. I can take care of myself," She finally spoke up.

Laurinda shrugged.

"It's fine," She said quietly. She was feeeling nacious again, and didn't want to throw up on his bed as it felt she was going to.

Blake blinked. "She's fine, butshe won't tell me exactly why she is here."

Lance handed her a trash can.

"she's my friend. She said so herself." Aden said.

"My judgement is too much for her." Carlisle told him, "Where as I want to be closer she doesn't and if that is what she wants then that is what we do." He was sad as he spoke, "Just don't let her think about what might happen, okay? I care too much to let her continue thinking about me if I do have to go back."

"I don't know why, that's for sure," Cora said, joking lightly in spite of her situation. Ava laughed lightly.

Sable frowned, and looked at Raven, who was silent. He didn't know what to do.

He shook his head, and took a step back. Raven frowned.

"Sable---" She started, but he was gone.

She glared at Aden and kicked him before turning to leave.

Laurinda was suddenly glad her hair was so short as she threw up the contents of her breakfast and dinner the night before into the trashcan. She groaned as her stomach turned again.

Blake was stading on the bottom step now. He had heard their conforstion.

"I heard that!" He said quickly when he heard Cora.

"I will." He said to Carlisle. "I'll try at least."

Aden looked at her. "I'm sorry."

Lance was a bit taken back, but said nothing.

Ava jumped when she heard Blake, and they both laughed. Cora's laugh wasn't as real as Ava's.

Raven glared at him.

"No you're not," She said, turning back to face him.

Laurinda's stomach soon settled, and she groaned again. "I'm....sorry," She mumbled.

"Thank you Blake." Carlisle said quietly, "If I do get to stay you should expect me there the very second I am free. If I don't show up and you get a call from Rose... well... you can guess."

"Uh-huh." Blake didn't want to say to much, so Cora wouldn't know who he was talking to.

"Yes I am." He said. And he was.

"It's fine." He said.

"Whatever," Raven mumbled. She sat down underneath one of the many trees there. "I'm sleeping here tonight, not heaven. You can leave now," She mutttered, looking away. Yet she knew if she was left alone it would only give her more time to think and hate herself even more for what had just happened.

Cora frowned, wondering who he was on the phone with. She stood up and walked over to him. Ava watched her, but didn't follow.

Laurinda set the bucket down on the floor, not caring how gross it was. She was too sick to care.

"Sorry to bother but your sister is important to me." Carlisle said, "I'll shut up and let you return to what you were doing now. And again, thank you." he then hung up and looked at Carmen in a most unsatisfactory way, "Anything else?" he asked her.

"Nope, just thought I'd leave you this." Carmen disappeared, leaving a pack of cigarettes where her hand had been. Carlisle gulped and stared at them, very tempted by them at the moment.

"Do you want to be alone?" Aden asked.

Blake removed the phone from his ear. "Yes?" He asked when Cora came closer.

Lance sighed. "Any else you need?"

Carlisle shut his eyes and thought of Cora and having her back when this was over. He opened his eyes again, grabbed the cigarettes, and crossed the room to the window. He quickly opened it up and tossed the cigarettes out on to the ground below. "I don't need those..." he muttered before shutting the window again and sitting on the bed once more.

"Who are you talking to?" Cora asked, pointing at the phone. She frowned.

Laurinda shook her head.

"No," She muttered, biting her lip as her eyes filled up with tears.

"Yes," Raven snapped, but it was a lie.

".....No," She mumbled a few moments later, pulling her knees up to her chest and looking away.

"Someone." Blake said.

Aden sat near her. "I'll stay."

"What's wrong?" Lance asked.

Cora rolled her eyes.

"Really," she said.

Raven hardly knew him, but his company was better than none. She rested her chin on her knees, saying nothing.

"I'm sick." Laurinda mumbled, as if it were obvious. And it should have been.

"Hardly somethig to cry about." Lance said.

Blake laughed.

Jade was in heaven looking for Dawn or Sable.

Aden said nothing.

Cora frowned, not returning the laughter.

"My stomach hurts, idiot," Laurinda mumbled, turning on her side and facing away from him. Though that wasn't why she was crying at all.

Sable was in heaven, sitting under the crow tree silently.
~!!~
Raven looked ahead, silent. She didn't know why he was bothering with her, or if he was even serious.
