The big city.

"Did you miss me?" A dark voice was heard from behind them. Carlisle jumped up, dropping Cora's hand in an instant and grabbing Annabell to face the demon standing there. "Such a nice greeting" the man said, his purple hair standing on end, green horns sprouted from the top of his head and blood red eyes had a sneering look to them.

"What do you want Damon?" Carlisle spat.

Cora jumped when she heard a voice, and spun around to face it. She saw someone, a demon, that she didn't recognize. However, as soon as Carlisle said his name, she stiffened. His brother? The one he said had killed him?

She felt her eyes narrow at him, resisting the urge to say or do something that she would no doubt regret.

"Can't I come visit my brother and his wife?" Damon asked.

"Only if you are welcomed here. You're not so get out." Carlisle said gruffly.

"That's cute! I'm a demon you idiot! I don't care whether or not I'm welcomed here" Damon said, "Long time no see Annie." he added to his sister.

"Don't you dare speak to her!" Carlisle snapped.

Cora placed a hand on Carlisle's arm.

"Calm down. It's okay," She whispered, though she knew that it was anything but. She just didn't want him to get too upset.

Damon's attention snapped to Cora when she spoke. "This must be her, the ex-angel stupid enough to fall for you." he teased

"Get out Damon." Carlisle said through clenched teeth. His free hand was in a fist, his veins showing while the other was wrapped softly around Annabell who was hiding her face from Damon.

Cora saw how scared Annabell was, and her anger sparked up. She glared at Damon, taking her hand off of Carlisle and standing up, walking straight up to him.

"Leave," She said simply, her voice low and dangerous. She knew she wasn't very threatening, and for a moment wished she was still an angel so she would be. But that didn't seem to be stopping her now.

"As you wish." Damon said before leaving. Carlisle's anger was gone as he held Annabell close.

"Thank god" Carlisle muttered, "Thank you, Cora." he added.

She shock her head. "My brother first, then I'll come back." She said, not looking down at the sleeping Sable.

Before she left she glanced down at him. Something pasted over her face, and her heart started to hurt. One who knew her would say she was looking at him with pure love, but she didn't know it. She didn't remeber she loved him, or he loved her. She didn't understand this feeling. Aden had done a nastey trick, he didn't return all her memories, and he even gave her false ones. She thought she loved Aden, who she really hated, and she only thought Sable was her best friend.

She stepped back, confuseion on her face, and disappered.

And, yes it was a tad petty, but he would understand, but even if she had all her memories she would still vist Dust first. It was the exact same thing he did with her.

Chris looked into his old cave, and smiled. Hymn was there again, then he remembered his dream from last night. That was where most of his drawings came from; his dreams.

He quietly came up behind her and sat down. He wrapped his arms around her shoulders and pined her to his chest. He leaned down and brushed his lips lightly across her cheek.

Then he look up at the wall. There was an empty space near by. He let go of her shoulders; freeing her from strong, yet gentle hold. Quickly he pulled out a piece of chalk he always kept in his pocket and grabbed her hand. He opened her fingers, and placed the chalk in her hand, and closed her hand once more.

He placed his hand over hers, and raised their hands, and the chalk up to the wall. He has not drawn on these walls since the night he had been killed. And he never drew like this before.

He didn’t say anything as they drew. Drawing was always something he did silently, but he was happy he could share something he enjoyed so much with Hymn, the only person he loved more then drawing.

He kept drawing the seemingly pattern less lines, and curves. What it was wouldn’t be seen until it was nearly done.

He didn’t know how long they were sitting like that. It could of have been seconds, or minutes, hours, or even days, for all he knew. He always seemed to lose track of time when he was around her.

He finally pulled back their hands, but didn’t let go of hers. He looked down at her face to see her reaction to what they just drew.

It was two roses, their stems intertwined. It was in amazing detail, as were many of his drawings. But this one had some differences. Since the chalk wasn’t in his hand, he didn’t have complete control over it, so every so often there was a mistake, a small one. It was not perfect.

After a moment or so of watching her face, he removed his hand from hers. He left the chalk in her hand. He wanted to see if she would add anything.

"Lance frowned. "Still, please, I want to help, it's my fatal flaw, it's the thing that will get me killed."

"For what?" Blake asked,

Mason frowned, but said nothing.

Raven just nodded; she knew that Sable had done the same thing to her. She watched as she took a step back, and saw how confused she looked. Suddenly she grew suspicous; what had Aden done to her? She would go back to heaven later, and find out.

Sable didn't move in his sleep.

Hymn continued tracing the drawings, until she felt him wrap his arms around her. She jumped, then slowly relaxed to fit his embrace. She blushed lightly when he brushed his lips over her cheek, but didn't say anything. She remained silent as he took the chalk, and placed his hand over hers.

Her eyes watched closely as he, as they, began to draw. She had been amazed with his drawings already, but this one, this one was different. She watched as it slowly began to take form. Her eyes widened slightly when she saw what it was and he pulled their hands back. She looked at him as he looked at her, letting their eyes meet. Then when he let go, and left the chalk in her hand, she looked back at the cave wall, at the two roses intertwined at the stem. She didn't want to ruin it, yet she felt as though she should add something of her own.

In the end, she placed the chalk in his hand, closing his fingers over it with her own hand.

"It's perfect," She said quietly.

"Leaving," Ava mumbled. It was obvious even in her sleep how guilty she felt. "He....came...." She whispered, and soon she was out again. She didn't move nor speak this time, and it seemed as though she would never wake again. Nick had hurt her, but angels healed fast, so it was no longer visible. But she was still sore and exhausted.

Laurinda just shook her head once more.

"No," She said simply, and her voice was so determined that it was useless to try and convince her otherwise. She didn't understand his comment about it getting him killed, but didn't dwell on it long. She looked at him for a long time; he reminded her of someone. Not in the way he acted, but in how he looked. She couldn't place her finger on it. Soon, she just waved at him and turned down the drive, her hair falling over her face.

Ashlyn didn't move, just sat there taking bite after bite of pizza. It was amazing that she ate this way and stayed as small as she did. She hadn't touched Mason once since he showed up; if she did, she may have believed he was real. She refused to believe it, however. Mason was gone; she had killed him.

She shook the thoughts out of her head; she would go back to normal. Back to the girl who spoke to no one, who was so 'scary' and 'mean'. That was who she was, apparently; and with her senior year starting soon, she would be pulled back into school work and tests and quizzes. Maybe that way, she could forget about him. She knew that it had been stupid to try and kill herself, but she had just been so desperate.

Cora just nodded. She didn't move from where she stood even when Damon was gone or Carlisle spoke. She saw Annabell once more, and tried to calm herself, closing her eyes and taking a deep breathe. She had never met his brother before, and now she wished she hadn't.

Jade appered in the liveing room. "Dust!" She called.

Chris smiled and slide the chalk back into his pocket. He then lifted her up, and place her in his lap, and wrapped her arms around her once again.

"I love you." HE whispbered. "Don't dwell on what you could of have done. Only think of the now, and what you have. Don't think about what you could of have done, but what can do."

Blake frowned, and kissed her forehead. "It's not your fault."

Lance frowned. "Please, if you need anything, come back."

Lenora heard Jade calling for Dust; she was in the kitchen. She flipped her drawing face down on the table, so no one could see it; she wasn't going to let anyone see it, even when it was done.

She walked into the living room, smiling slightly when she saw Jade. But suddenly, her eyes widened.

"Jade....?" She asked slowly. Did this mean she remembered??

Hymn's eyes widened, her cheeks turning a light pink when he lifted her onto his lap. She listneed to what he said, and then nodded slowly. She didn't understand how he knew exactly what she was thinking all of the time; it scared her and made her love him even more at the same time.

She nestlted her head against his chest, and ndoded again.

"I love you, too," She said quietly, closing her eyes for a moment and enjoying just being with him.

Ava didn't move again, even when he kissed her forehead. In her dreams, she was back home. Before she had died; bcak when she was still alive yet wished she could be anywhere else. Her parents were arguing and she, as a small girl, had come downstairs and watched.

Laurinda paused where she stood; she remembered then who he reminded her of; her father. He looked like her father. She closed her eyes, trying to shake off the thought. Her dark red hair fell over her face and hid the tears.

Jade nodded. "Aden gave me back my memories." She said his name with bitterness, but she couldn't tell.

Dust came down stairs, and smiled.

He ran his fingers through her long hair. He smiled slightly.

"You're kinder then you think." He suddenly said. "I wish there was a way for you to be an angel again.

Lance wacthed her.

Lenora took a step back when Dust came downstairs, sensing that Jade hadn't come to talk to her. She turned back into the kitchen, after telling them that she was there if they needed anything.

Hymn frowned slightly, but didn't show it. She had become a fallen because she was sick of all the rules in heaven; that, and her sister.

"But then I wouldn't be here," She said quietly, and that was true.

Laurinda shook her head and was about to keep walking when Lee showed up in front of her.

Laurinda jumped and fell back, landing on the pavement. Lee sighed and helped her up, dragging her back to Lance.

"H--Hey!" Laurinda shouted, wiping her tears away and glaring at her. Lee grabbed Lance's arm as well, and they disappeared.

When Laurinda's world stopped spinning, they were standing outside a Manor. She blinked hazily and looked around, and soon they were inside. She saw a 5 year old boy and a 2 year old girl, and soon she realized something; the 5 year old was Lance!

She looked at him, but he was still standing next to her. How could he be there too?

"I'm here to show you more about each other," Lee said simply. She had been sent by someone in heaven, whom she would never say. They felt as though they needed to know more about each other, and that was where Lee came in. Laurinda shook her head in confusion, looking back at the younger Lance and even younger girl. What was going on???

Lance frowned. "Who are you, and why are we here?" He asked as his younger self played tricks on his little sister.

Jade hugged him. "I'm so sorry!"

"For what?"

"But I could still be with you." He said. "I can seem like an angel if I wanted to bad enough."

"I just told you," Lee said. "To learn."

Laurinda blinked in surprise, and watched as the younger Heather pushed her brother. She had to stifle a laugh.

Lenora heard them, and frowned, looking down at her drawing, her pencil in her hand.

Hymn laughed slightly, and nodded.

"But it's too late for that," She said quietly.

Little Lance pretended to fall backwards. "Heather, you're strong!"

Suddenly the sence change. He was with Mason, and another boy. Mason and him were about eight, their cousin Peter was 15.

Peter was scolding them for something. "You two need to learn how not to get in trouble."

"What did we do?" Lance asked.

"Someone broke my mother's favorite vase." Peter said.

"That was Heather!" Mason said quickly.

Lance looked worried, and shock his head. "It was me." He lied.

"I don't know, I just am." Jade said.

Chris laguhed. "Yes, yes it is."

Lenora frowned, and felt like she was eavesdropping. She went back to her drawing, still unwilling to show anyone what it was.

Hymn smiled slightly and leaned her head against his chest.

Laurinda watched as Lance lied so as not to get his sister in trouble. She glanced at him out of the corner of her eye, and then Lee changed the scene again.

Lance sighed. When he saw where the next sence was. "Why are we doing this? Why do we need to learn more about each other?"

They were standing in front of boarding school, behind a 13 year old Lance, who was sitting on a bench reading a letter from his sister. He could read over his own shoulder. The younger Link sighed and laguhed at the same time when he read the part about Heather messing up his room.

He rested his chin ontop of her head. He was enjoying the comforable silence that had shallowed them.

Dust kissed her head. "You should vist Sable, now, he took it the wrost."

Lee didn't answer his question, mostly because she didn't know how to; she was just doing what she was told.

Laurinda read the letter over his shoulder, and smiled slightly as well. She had figured out by now that they couldn't see them.

Soon, Lee changed the scene again.

Hymn reached down and took his hand, intertwining her fingers with his.

Raven and Sable were both silent; Sable had woken, and was sitting on the swing next to her. Raven hadn't told him about Jade's memory, in case something went wrong with it like she had guessed. Plus, then he'd go after her right away when she was going to see her brother first.

Lenora was silent still, trying not to listen, but it was hard. She went back to her drawing.

It was a year later. Lance was 14, he was with his two cousinns again. Mason was his age, but Peter was now 21.

Lance frowned, and looked away. There was blood every where, the snow was red with it, and peter was on the ground. They had been helping him with christmas shopping, when a man came up and pointed a gun at them, demaneding money.

Peter had stepped in front of the two boys, even after the man yelled don't move. He payed with his life. The man had been scared, and ran when Peter fell to the ground.

Mason was frozen in place, but Lance was next to Peter. "Pete! Pete." He said his cousins neckname over and over, but he was already gone.

Chris smiled and leaned down, pressing his lips to hers.

"I don't know." Jade said, unsure.

Laurinda's eyes widened at the sight of the blood on the ground, and the dead man she had just seen alive and well a few moments ago. She looked back and forth between the 'real' Lance, and the 'memory' Lance. She had realized by now that these were his memories.

Lee changed the scene once again.

Lenora frowned. So her memory wasn't back all the way? She resisted the urge she had to stand, not wanting to poke her nose into her business as she so often did.

Hymn kissed him back, wrapping her arms around his neck.

Lance sighed again when he saw they were now in a hosptail room, three months later.

This time it was just Lance and a very old man, old dieing man. His grandpa.

"Link, come here." He said gruffly. He obeyed. He looked up to this man. This man was his hero. "I need to tell you somthing." Lance nodded. In his eyes this man the best, and kindest person in this world. "I kept it a secrect for so long, so very long, I need to tell someone, I need to tell you the truth, I once killed three people." Lance's face fell. "I took three incent lifes." lance stared at him for a moment.

"you're lieing!" He said. "You didn't. This is a cural joke, old man!" He said.

The man frowned. "It is no joke, Lance." His face said he wasn't kidding.

Lance looked angry, his hero was dieing, and he just ruined his memoriy of him. How could his grandfather do this to him?

"Yes, Lance, hate me for that. I don't desevre to be loved, or admired." He said those were last words.

Lance was even more mad. How could he ask that!?

"It's fine, go." Dust said, not picking up on the same thing Lenora did.

His arms were still around her, and he pulled her closer, if that was possaible. He pulled back, smileing a few moments later.

Laurinda felt a tug at her heart, seeing this. How much of his family had died? She watched the younger Lance, then the older one.

Lee changed the scene once more.

Maybe Lenora was being paranoid. She looked back down at her drawing, and went back to work.

Sable and Raven were still at the park.

Hymn kept her arms warpped around him even after he pulled away, not wanting to let go.

15 year old held his cheek, a laarge bruise was forming. But he didn't move. He walked in to see his unkle beating Mason, and he stood up for him, that earned him a punch himself. He spat at his unkle's feet, he hit both of them again.

Older lance was frowning deeply.

The sence changed again. He was at the hosptail. It had been a few weeks later. He had a case on his arm. With was no surpise condering how in all the sences he had some sort of case or banage on him. He was danger proned. He looked at his sick cousin.

Mason frowned. "You didn't break it on purpose to come see me did you?" He joked.

"Just because evertime you have to go to the hosptail and I have to too, doesn't mean I do it for you." Lance said. "It's just my bad luck."

"You get hurt to much!" mason said.

"You're sick to much, Mason." Lance said.

"He's dead." Older Lance mumabled.

The sence change again. He was 16 in this one, he was asleep. Suddenly the phone rang, and he bolted up right, and ran down stairs.l He picked up the phone.

"Yes?" He anwesred. "Dead? What happened?" Panic was in his voice.

"My parnets, hit and run acident, both of them died." He filled in the details. "But it wasn't an accident, they were murdered."

Jade nodded, and disappered, reappering in the park.

Chris smiled. "We should go, the goddess will send someone ,looking for us soon." He said, but didn't move, if anything he held her tighter, not wanting to go."

Laurinda looked at him, and realized that this must be the Mason that he had talked about before. She had tears in her eyes, as it reminded her of her own life. She wiped them away with the back of her hand, and watched as the scene changed again. His paernts were dead now. She shook her head. How much of his family had died??

Lee changed the scene once more.
