The big city.

Hymn's knees shook, and she fell to the ground. She shook her head over and over again, curling up into a small ball on the ground. Silent tears ran down her cheeks.

Heather sighed, and entered his dreams.

They were standing on the beach. Heather picked up a shell and handed it to him, smiling slightly.

Lenora frowned as well. She couldn't tell if she was lying or not.

"Don't go, James. She's probably lying," She mumbled, struggling just to stay awake.

Laurinda found an empty alley way, and lay down there. She soon fell into a restless sleep.,

"I'm not lying!", she shouted getting frustrated. "Check on her James!", she shouted.

Someone quietly broke into Alice's house and snuck around the house quietly.

"What if she isn't?" James asked.

Lance smiled at her, and took the shell.

"Then let me come with. Just in case," Lenora said, forcing herself to stand. She looked at him. "Come on, then," She said, though it was obvious that it was a struggle just for her to keep her eyes open and stay on her feet.

Heather sighed, then smiled at him.

"You should let me go," She said quietly, barely audible.

Layla watched them. "Hurry, or it might be to late!", she said and showed the image of the man going after Alice again in James' mind.

The guy saw Walter sleeping on the couch and quietly backed up. he wasn't going after him he was after someone else. He walked around in the other rooms downstairs for a little while.

"No, you stay." He said.

Lance frowned. "What do you mean?"

"I don't think so," Lenora said. "Now let's go. We'll go faster if I take us there," She said, blinking quickly to keep herself awake.

"I mean, let me go. Get on with your life. I'm not worth worrying over every day," She said quietly. She didn't want him to get over her, not all all, but she wanted him to be happy.

"No, your falling asleep." James said.

Lance frowned. "No, I can't. I won't do that." He said.

Carlisle smiled at her, "I shouldn't keep my past from you." he said calmly.

Lenora ignored him, and touched his arm. A few seconds later they were standing in Alice's living room. Lenora stumbled against the wall. That had really taken it out of her.

"Go find her," She mumbled. "I'll just...wait...here."

Heather sighed.

"You've always been stubborn," She said quietly, but offered him a small smile nonetheless.

Alice woke up thinking she heard something outside in the hall but shrugged it off thinking it was Bailey.

the guy slowly opened Alice's door.

Alice backed up against the wall. "Ge-", she started but was interrupted.

"Don't make a sound or I shoot!", he snapped.

Alice was quiet for a minute then screamed. The guy shot Alice in head. She fell to the ground bleeding badly.

Bailey woke up hearing a scream and looked around scared.

The guy jumped out of Alice's window and climbed down the nearby tree.

James ran up the steps. "Alice?"

"Us that a bad thing?" he asked, sitting in the sand.

Lenora wanted to follow, but couldn't. She had to stay here, stay awake so she could take him back. She heard the gunshot, however, and ran up the stairs.

"No, I suppose not," Heather said, sitting next to him.

Bailey ran out of her room and saw James but ignored him for the moment. She ran into Alice's room and gasped and started crying and came back out. "WALTER!", she shouted her voice cracking a little from crying.

Layla appeared in Alice's house.

Walter ran up the stairs.

"What did you do?" he demaned when he saw James, asumeing it was him who did it.

Lance smiled. "I don't know what to do."

Lenora saw the blood, and her eyes widened.

"Don't argue now. Walter, you need to get her to a hospital. Call 911," She said quickly, visible to him.

"What do you mean? About what?" Heather asked, turning to look at her brother.

Bailey was still crying. She didn't want to look at Alice right now.

Layla came up stairs with her arms crossed. She was visible to everyone. "I told you to hurry!", she told James. She walked over to Bailey, she didn't like to see little kids cry just being scared. She grabbed her arm and started to lead her downstairs. "Come on it's ok", she said trying to comfort the little kid.

Alice was still badly bleeding on the floor.

"All of this. You dieing, Mason dieing, mom and dad dieing." Lance said.

Cora shrugged, which was kind of hard to do laying down.

"Don't feel bad, I understand," She said quietly. "Just....be honest with me from now on, okay?" She asked quietly.

"You need to move on," Heather said quietly. "Maybe not forget, but just....move on." She doubted she was being any help at all.

Lenora touched James' arm. "We should go," She said quietly as she heard sirens coming down the street already.

Bailey followed Layla not paying attention to who she was with and went downstairs with her.

Layla sat on the couch with Bailey. She looked at Layla and jumped finally realizing who she was with. Layla sat her down on the couch next to her. "It's alright, I'm not going to hurt you or anything this time", she said kindly.

"Of course I will be." Carlisle told her. He set a hand gently on her waist and kissed her lightly.

James nodded.
