The big city.

Cora's cheeks immediatly turned red, and she turned away, refusing to meet his eyes. "Well, they didn't say---I mean, we didn't---I don't think---" She stammered, seemingly unable to finish a sentence.

Carlisle sighed and stood behind her, wrapping his arms around her waist, "No, we don't have to do anything unless you want to."

Cora bit her lip, staring at the ground.

"I just---" She didn't know what to say. She didn't know what she wanted. She didn't want to hurt his feelings, and she was just so confused.

Carlisle sighed, "We will if and when you are ready and no sooner than that." he told her.

Cora nodded. She sighed, and turned to face him, wrapping him in a tight hug.

"Thank you," She said quietly.

Carlisle smiled, "Of course, anything for you." he hugged her back and shut his eyes.

Cora was thinking as she hugged him. Finally, she pulled back and smiled up at him.

She stood up on her toes and kissed him lightly on the lips.

Carlisle was caught of guard by her kiss but gladly kissed her back sweetly.

Cora wrapped her arms around his neck as she continued to kiss him. She didn't know what she wanted, but she knew she didn't want this to end. She didn't want to let go.

Carlisle was confused by what she was doing, but despite his confusion he willingly kissed her back. One arm wrapped around her waist while the other interlocked in her hair. After awhile he pulled away, "Cora?" he said as if he was asking a question, he wasn't quite sure where this was going and wanted to be sure of what she wanted before it went further.

Cora looked at him, her eyes confused. She didn't understand what was happening. She thought she didn't want to, but now she wasn't so sure. She smiled slightly at him, letting her arms drop to her sides.

"I changed my mind," She said quietly, wrapping him in a hug. She was nervous, but she knew she loved him. She had only ever kissed him and one other boy, Robert, before, so she wondered if she would even be able to. She also wondered if he knew that she honestly had no idea what she was doing.

Carlisle thought for a moment, "Keep me posted" he told her before he kissed her deeply and passionately

Cora smiled lightly, and blinked in surprise when he kissed her again. She wrapped her arms around his neck, moving closer to him. All she could think was, 'I love him.'

Carlisle's arms wrapped firmly around her waist and held her tightly against his body.

Cora had her eyes closed, and didn't want to let him go. She soon pulled back, though she rested her head on his chest. She was smiling.

Carlisle smiled, assuming she was done, he rested his head gently on hers and closed his eyes. "I love you." be whispered.

"I love you, too," Cora whispered. She didn't know what to do now; she gently pulled back and looked at him, suddenly looking nervous again.

Carlisle smiled at her softly, "What is it?" he asked, his voice laced with concern.

"It's nothing," Cora said quietly, yet she knew it was. But she didn't know what she was so disappointed about. Ever since had had mentioned.....well, that, she had been feeling strange.

"Did you want to? I just thought that since you stopped that meant to stop..." Carlisle told her, he walked over to the closet and took out a hanger for his tux an he took of the jacket and then began to unbutton his shirt before he suddenly stopped, "You don't mind right?" he asked unsure.

Cora took a step back, blinking in surprise. Her cheeks were bright red. She felt like she had a knot in her throat, and she couldn't speak.

"N--no," She stammered, finally fiding her voice. "I don't." She felt so stupid, acting so nervous. Yet she just couldn't help it.

Carlisle then unbuttoned his shirt and put it up on the hanger, putting his jacket over it before hanging it in the closet. He walked to the bed and took off his shoes, leaving him in his tux pants as he laid back on the bed. He pat the bed next to him, motioning for her to join him, before shutting his eyes.

Seeing him sitting there didn't help her at all. Her heart was pounding, and she was feeling more confused than ever. She sat down on the edge of the bed, but didn't make any move towards or away from him. She was staring at the door, her mind racing faster than her heart.

Carlisle opened one eye and looked her over, "You okay? Do you want me to put a shirt on?" he asked as he sat up and moved closer to her.

"N---No, it's fine," Cora managed to get out. She was taking deep breaths, tryig to calm herself. She couldn't think straight. Everything in the room was spinning.
