The big city.

"But they will judge you worthy!" Cora protested quickly. "The time isn't limited. You'll never be a demon again. I won't let you." She hugged him again, and was unable to stop the tears.

Carlisle hugged her back, "Thank you for having faith in me." he said to her. "I love you" he added affectionately.

Cora nodded. She wanted to say that she loved him too, but the words wouldn't come. She pulled away, wiping away the tears with the back of her hand. "I'm going to take a nap," She said quietly.

Carlisle nodded and stood back. He looked at her sadly but then his crooked smile spread across his face.

Cora tilted her head slightly at his smile, but then smiled back and gave him a quick kiss on the cheek before going up the stairs and into their room. She shut the door gently behind her and sat on the bed. She yawned, but no matter how tired she was found that she couldn't sleep.

Carlisle watched her go and then sat on the couch, he laid down across it and shut hie eyes, just intending to rest them but he soon fell asleep.

"Oh." Dorthy said. "How did you know Mas-" She sut herself off when she gat a good look at Lance's face. "Lance! What happened to your eye!? It's missing!" She excalimed.

"Nothing happened." He said dully.

Dorthy glanced at Heather. "Heather! What isn't he telling me!?"

Lance had pulled his hand away from Heather's.

A man with black hair, and blue eyes, he looked to be 23 or 24, was walking down the rows. He was talking to someone that couldn't be seen. But no one even saw him. Only people with angels and demons could. He stopped at the very back, near Lance and them.

"Now it really is a face only a mother could love." Peter remarked. He winced, appertly the person the remained unseen had hit him.

Tyler wasn't smileing, nor was he frowning, but he said nothing.

Dust was aleady upstairs when she wke up.

He knocked on the door, then opened it. He smiled at Jade. "I just seen Sable, he's going to come see you after he finds his sister.

Jade was pale again, she looked like she did when she was alive, and sick. Her blue eyes were dull, and sad, even at the metion of Sable they looked like that.

She nodded. "I hope Raven is okay." She said, that was just like her, to worry 'bout others even when she herself was endanger.

Chris appered in the underworld. In the thrown room.

"What's wrong?" The goddess asked.

"Nothing." He lied.

"How's your heart?" She asked.

"What?"

"She broke it?" She asked. "Hymn, I mean."

"How- nevermind." He said quickly. "She did not."

"But she lied to you, and left you."

"She is a no more then a child, how I could have any feelings for a child is just silly." He said, hiding his pain with his cural words. "I was just useing her, as she was useing me." He lied, but he was a great actor. "It makes no differentince."

Ashlyn was off in her own little world again, until she saw another man. He too was dead, she realized. How many of Mason's relatives were alive, is what she wanted to know.

She shook it off. It didn't matter.

She looked back forward, her eyes on the coffin. She felt guilty all over again, and the thoughts that Ether was placing in her head wasn't helping any.

Hymn had finally stood up, and was on her way to the throne room to get her mind off of it all. She was about to step in when she heard Chris's voice, and froze.

'She is a no more then a child, how I could have any feelings for a child is just silly. I was just useing her, as she was useing me. It makes no differentince.'

His words cut through her like knifes. A child. how many times had she heard that growing up? You can't do this, you're just a kid. You're too young, you wouldn't understand.

She stared at the ground, her hands clenched into tight fists. Just using me. He was just using me, was all she could think. She hadn't been using him, not really, but apparently he had been to her.

She held back the tears and stood up straight, entering the throne room. Her chin was thrust out defiantly, as she looked as calm as possible. It was as if nothing was bothering her. It was a good thing she was good at hiding her real emotions or masking them with others.

Lenora stood up, legs shaking. She needed air. Fresh air.

She walked outside and around to the back of the house. Birds chirped in the trees, but she barely heard them. She sat down behind the house, taking deep, calming breathes.

They weren't helping much.

Sable! She suddenly remembered. Where had he gone off to? She hoped he was either with his sister or Jade.

"I don't want you going to see Jade anymore," Raven said suddenly, cutting Sable's laugh off.

"What?" Sable asked.

"It's her fault any of this happened. That you're hurting like you are. It was easier when it was just the two of us. Just us," She said quietly.

"I can't leave her," Sable protested. Raven frowned, and slowly nodded.

"Fine," She mumbled. He smiled and picked her up in a fierece hug, and when she opened her eyes, they were on earth, in the park.

"No one has a bigger place in my heart than you, Rave," He said quietly. and it was true. No one did, nor ever would.

Cora soon managed to fall asleep, on her side facing the door. She was sprawled out strangely, one hand hanging off the bed.

Elliot turned to him, smiling lightly once they were a distance away, but saying nothing.

Ava glared at him.

"Let go of me," She said, her voice low and threatening. Nick didn't seem to hear her, and if he did, he didn't care.

Laurinda soon stood up, placing the rest of the food in her bag. Then she was off walking again, looking for a place to lay down and rest.

"Heather!?" Dorthy whined when she didn't anwser.

Lance was glareing at Peter. "Must you be a -"

"Be nice." A female's voice said.

Lance glared at Peter, and suddenly stood up, dropping Dorthy on Ashlynn's lap. He knew the voice well; his mother.

"I'm going outside." He mumabled. "Alone." He did not have tie for this.

The goddess smirked. "Really?"

Chris frowned. "Do I have reason to lie?" He asked.


"Yes."

He glared at her. "Maybe I just inhearited my Father's love for girls." He said, that thought discussed him.

Dust came down stairs soon.

"Lenora?" Worry in his voice.

Tyler tried to smile back, a small one was all he was able to pull out.

Heather smiled at Dorothy.

"Everything is okay," She said quietly. She stood up and followed Link outside.

Ashlyn was feeling...well, akward wasn't the right word for this. Downright creeped out would be better. So many people who were dead were here. She was still having trouble getting used to one demon following her around, but now this....

She watched as Link left her, and sighed, looking forward. She flinched as her gaze landed on the coffin again, and quickly looked away. She wanted this to start soon so it would end sooner.

Hymn stepped out of the shadows now and made herself known. She gave Chris one glance before looking at the goddess, saying nothing.

She thrust her chin out definatly, standing straight and proud. She was always like this, and had made herself vulnerable to Chris. Well no more. No more.

"What's wrong?" Elliot asked quietly. He...did believe her, didn't he? She shook her head and looked away, quickly dropping his hand from hers.

Sable and Raven started to walk towards James' house. They both thought the fresh air would do them good, so they wawlked, instead of just showing up there.

Lenora continued to take deep breathes, trying to calm herself down. Slowly, it began to work.

Ava turned and ran then, but Nick was in front of her before she could get out of the meadow and into the woods.

"Why are you doing this?!" She shouted. No answer. Of course.

All the angels suddenly went invisable. It slowly began to start.

Chris payed her no mind. "She died a child, she'll forever remain one." He said, then truned to leave.

Tyler quickly took her hand back. "Nothing, Nothing."

Dust stepped outside. "Lenora, are yuo okay?"

Heather took her brother's hand, and attempted to lead him back inside. She knew it was starting. She wanted him to be there.

Ashlyn looked up, and felt the tears stinging her eyes. She shook them off, and folded her hands neatly on her lap and watched, barely listening to them.

His words stuck in her heart like a knife. She did not show it, however. She was actually smirking.

"A child outsmarted you then, Christaphor," She said simply, before turning back to the goddess.

"Ty...." Elliot said slowly. "Tell me. What is it?" She was frowning.

Lenora looked up when she heard Dust's voice.

"I'm back here," She called weakly. She then looked back down at the ground silently.

Sable and Raven were still walking. They were talking as well, laughing as they got closer and closer to James' house.

Lance pulled his hand free. "In a bit." He said, knowing what his sister wanted.

Chris frowned when she used his full name, he always prefered Chris, his father discussed him, why would he want to be named after him? He kept walking. "For how long?" He asked himself.

The goddess smiled. "Is there something you wanted?"

"I love you so much." He said. "I always have, always will. It always made me sad seeing you look at Blake the way you did. It scared me to think, still does, that ou loved someone else, Elliot." There was no playful tone, and the fct he didn't call her 'little one' showed he was serious. "I have you know, I love you, and . . . . you love me, but I'm still scared." He paused "That I'll lose you."

Dust sat down silently next to her.

"No, not really," Hymn said. Even though Chris was gone, she still refused to show her sadness. She took a seat against the wall in the shadows in a corner silently.

Heather frowned, then nodded, though he couldn't see her. She stayed next to him.

Ashlyn tore her eyes away from the procession. She didn't think she could take this.

Lenora said nothing as he sat down next to her, though she did glance over at him briefly.

"Sorry," She mumbled.

Sable soon knocked on James' door, not wanting to go in without permission. Raven ran in anyways, though.

"Rave!" Sable hissed, and ran in after her.

Elliot was smiling sadly at him the whole time he spoke, shaking her head.

"You don't need to worry," She said quietly. "Nothing can separate us now. Not again. Not my uncle coming to take me away, or Blake, or anyone else. I'll always be here," She said quietly. "By your side."

She still was angry with herself for not realizing how she felt about him earlier, when she was still alive, but there was no going back now. They only had now.

Lance closed his eyes -eye.

Jade sat on Kate's old bed, Ruby and Zinc on etier side of her, tormetting her again.

Tyler looked down sadly. "But what if you do fall in love with some one else? Honsetly, I don't know how anyone could not fall in love with you."

Elliot blushed lightly and looked away, but quickly looked back at him.

"There's no one I could even think of falling in love with," She said quietly. "Except for you."

"Jade?" Sable called. He walked up the stairs quietly, Raven close behind him. He opened the door, and saw her and how sick she looked. Raven saw as well, and frowned.

Lenora just nodded, and looked forward again.

"You don't have to stay here with me," She said quietly. "If you want to go back inside. I'm---fine," She lied. But she was anything but fun. Her nightmare was still fresh on her mind.

Ashlyn closed her eyes, enduring it. They would bury him soon, and then it would be over. She could leave then, and never look back. She just had to get through this.

"Let go of me!!" Ava yelled, but Nick payed her no mind. Soon, they were both gone.

Laurinda was asleep in yet another alley, using her jacket as a pillow, shivering lightly.

Tyler looked down sadly. "I geuss you are right." He was a bit ashamed for thinking she could love another.

Lance stood up, and slipped back into the chruch.

Dust smiled at her. "I want to stay with you."

Jade smiled when she saw him, she stood up on wobbley legs. "Sable! And Raven!" She sounded happy to see them, but she her face looked so tried. But she wasn't going say anything.

Elliot smiled slightly, and stood up on her tip toes and kissed him lightly on the lips before pulling away.

Heather followed him.

Ashlyn glanced up at Link when he came back in, feeling somewhat relieved. Then she was brought back to her senses, and the relief was gone.

Lenora tried not to show her relief, but failed.

"Thanks," she said quietly instead, trying to hold back the tears.

Sable saw how unsteady she was, and ran over to her, quickly lowering her back onto the bed. "I'm sorry," He said quietly. He felt as if this were all his fault, her condition. Raven stayed in the doorway, watching and frowning slightly.

"Sorry?" She sounded confused. "Whatever did you do?"

Tyler smiled. "I love you so much." He whispbered.

Lance quictly sat next to her. wacthing silently.

"Your ever so welcome." Dust said.

Layla watched James then sighed. "Why won't you go visit Alice to see how she is?", she asked.

Penny was silent and watched them.

George heard people talking in the throne room and decided to leave. He bumped into a wall as he turned around to leave. He cursed under his breathe and looked back to see if anyone had heard him.

Ryan was standing next to the door and heard something outside the throne room and looke dbut waited for the goddess to say something before he moved.

"Because." Was all James said.

Elliot smiled. "I love you, too," She said quietly.

Lenora looked away as she began to cry again. She just couldn't help it.

Heather was silent, not that anyone would have heard her if she had something to say.

Ashlyn had her hands clenched into tight fists in her lap, willing herself to endure this. Just a little bit longer, she kept telling herself. Then he'll be gone. Forever.

Tyler siled just a little. "I'm sorry I did't believe you."
