The big city.

"I've been fine, thank you" Rose said. "How about yourself?"

"I been just fine." She said with a smile. "I'm always just fine."

Layla soon found Sally and ran over to her.

Sally looked back hearing someone running behind her and saw Layla. "What are you doing here?", she asked.

Layla shook her head. "You'll see why", she said and grabbed Sally's arm and disappeared and reappeared in Ashley's house again.

when they were at Ashley's house Sally saw mama and smiled.

Rose stiffened again and kept her eyes on Layla. She thought about leaving, now that Cora had two angels with her but decided she shouldn't.

Marlys looked at her youngest daughter. She smiled also. She wrapped her arms around Sally. "I missed you so much, you and your othe tree siblings." She said.

Sally hugged her back. "I missed you too", she said still smiling.

Layla stood next to Cora again, watching their mother.

It was the day of the wedding, Rose was flitting around putting the finishing touches on everything before the guest arrived. The wedding on the beach was planned to every last detail.

Ashley was with Cora, the two still in the house as Cora got ready. She was there to help with anything Cora needed.

Carlisle had been sent to a hotel for the past few days, Rose had sad something about not seeing his bride. He was putting on a tux, Carmen was their to help him. He reluctantly asked her for help but she seemed to be acting like it didn't matter to her today.

Ashlyn was in her room as usual, reading a book. She lay on her stomach with it propped up in front of her. It was still the same as it was before, The Shining by Stephen King. She was at the very end, and was reading faster than usual, looking at each page intently. She had grown used to Mason over the past weeks, however she refused to admit it. She had all but forgotten that he needed his medicine, though.

Lenora was sitting at home on the couch. She was staring at the TV, which wasn't even on. Her eyes were blank and almost empty. She didn't know what to do. She couldn't help Dust. She felt so useless. Her father hadn't shown his face, however, which was a plus. But it didn't matter now. The man she had fallen in love with was gone. Gone forever, so it seemed, ripped from her hands.

Sable was sitting outside with Raven. She still hadn't said a word. He didn't know what to do. She was leaning on his shoulder, and he had his arm wrapped around her tightly. His worry for Raven, Lenora, and Jade hadn't helped him any, and you could see in his face that he was tired, maybe even exhausted.

Cora's dress lay on the bed, neatly smoothed out and ready for her to put on. She was sitting in the bathroom, attempting to do something with her hair. She wasn't quite sure what to do with it, however. It lay flat, down to her lower back. She frowned lightly, and attempted once again to pin it up somehow.

Hymn was wandering the underworld. She would never admit it, but she was worried about Dust. No matter how much he had annoyed her previously, she didn't like to see him this way. Not again.

Ava was sitting in Link's living room with a book. She could feel the snake in the cage behind her, though, and it was making her nervous. She was so glad Blake wasn't angry with her anymore, though she had taken to calling him Junior more and more often. She knew that Cora had said she could go to the wedding as well, but she didn't know if she should. After all, she would only know Blake there, and would feel out of place, or unwanted, perhaps.

"Need any help?" Ashley asked as she stood outside the bedroom.

Carmen did Carlisle's tie quickly and smiled "You look handsome" she told him.

"Thank you" he said as he looked in the mirror.

"She's really lucky to have you" she mumbled

"I'm lucky to have her." He corrected her quickly.

Layla put her hair up the best she could into a small bun. She walked out of the bathroom and went downstairs and looked at Penny and Adrian. "You two aren't coming with me this time, I don't want you to mess up anything", she said and grabbed Penny and Adrian's arms and disappeared and went to the underworld. then reappeared in James' house. She went upstairs and looked for James.

Kira was sitting downstairs watching Layla.

Alice went downstairs and looked at Walter. "Hey, want to go see a movie?", she asked.

Blake opened Lance's door. "Please come." He said

Blake didn't seem to be in the best of moods. He wasn't happy that Cora was getting married to Carlisle, but he still didn't stop it. Blake had the power to do so, all he had to do was to use his power on Carlisle, tell him not marry Cora. But he didn't, a few times the thought pass through his head, but he resited it.

Tyler looked at Elliot, his sadness from earier was still in his eyes. "Ready?" He asked.

He didn't understand. He no longer belived she loved him, just pitied him. Somewhere deep he always believed that, but it wasn't until he talked to Andrew has his fears really been brought out. Over the past few days he hadn't gone near her, haven't tuched her, haven't hugged her, haven't kissed her, and barely talked t her. And everything she would try to get near him he would disapper.

Marlys had decided to help Rose with the last of the details. She stood there wacthing carefully, helping were she could. She was happy that her daughter was marring someone she loved. She knew all to well that if Cora would have married in their time it might be to a man she hated. That wasn't uncommon then. Of crouse she hadn't known about Robert, or their plans to be married. She was over joied that her child had this chance.

Issac was wondering arund the under world, tring to remeber what he was suppse to do today. For a moment he had forgotten his own son's wedding day. It wouldn't of have been the first time. He goraned when he finally did remeber. But he was in no hurry, if he was alittle late, oh well, not like he really cared anyhow.

Mr. Redbird on the other hand did remeber. But, he too was in no hurry to go. He did care, but he haven't seen Cora in a long time. He barely knew her. It hurt him to admit it, but didn't know her at all anymore. He hadn't been there to see her grow up. He loved his child, like any good father did, but to him he had to be the wrost, of crouse he hadn't met Issac. He didn't understand why Cora welcomed him back so easily, it didn't make sense.

Jade was sitting in Kate's old room. She been depressed for a while now, and Ruby and Zinc weren't helping. They had somehow found a way to make Jade think it was her fault. She cring and couldn't stop. She hadn't said much to Sable lately. She had become more and more lost in her own thoughts, and blame. Ruby and Zinc found this amuseing and kept adding to her pain.

Mason was sitting against the wall. He was paler, more so then normarl. He was feeling aweful. And he knew. . . he would die today. He suddenly stood up. "I'm leaveing." He said, tring to hide the pain in his voice. "I can't stay here no longer." He was dizzy, and the room was spinning, but none the less he tried to leave.

James had left to do something. All the depresstion in his house was annoing him. He was long gone by the time Layla came looking for him. He was walking down the street, looking bored. A few minutes later he was at Alice's house. He knocked quietly.

Walter looked at her. "Yeah." He said to Alice as he opened the door. He frowned. "I change my mind!" He called. "Why don't you drag James to the moives?" He asked.

James blinked. "Uh."

Alice came to the door and smiled seeing James. "hi", she said.

when Layla couldn't find James she sighed. "Oh well he'll problably be happy that I'm not going to annoy him for a while", she mumbled to her self and walked back downstairs. "come on Kira lets go", she said petting Kira's head as she walked outside.

Kira followed behind her.

Sally appeared at the beach, she was wearing a long red dress that went down to her feet and had no sleeves. She had borrowed it from the Clothing house in heaven. She looked at her mother smiling.

"Thank you for helping Marlys. I really appreciate it." Rose said as they finally finished. "We'll have to go check on Cora soon, I hope everything is okay." she said.

Carlisle and Carmen had finally finished getting ready and Carmen grabbed his arm and the disappeared, reappearing near Marlys and Rose. Carmen let him go and walked away. "Hello ladies." Carlisle said with a smile as he smoothed out his tux.

"As do I." Marlys said. She then smiled at Carlisle.

Walter walked away.

Alice watched Walter walk away. "You can come in", she said moving out of his way.

Sally smiled at Carlisle. "Hi", she said and saw Layla walk up with Kira. She frowned at her and walked over to her. "Why did you bring her?", she asked quietly pointing at Kira.

Layla shrugged. "I wanted to", she said.

Sally grabbed Layla arm and disappeared and went to heaven. She walked into the clothing house still holding onto Layla's arm.

Layla looked around. "Why did you bring me here?", she asked. Sally didn't answer and threw a pink dress at Layla. "I'm not wearing pink", she said putting the dress down and looking at Sally.

Elliot nodded, though she didn't look like she meant it.

"Ready," She said quietly. She was wearing a black dress that ended just above her knees, and her normally loose brown hair was up in a bun with a few strands hanging down in front of her eyes. She didn't understand why Tyler had been avoiding her but it hurt, more than it hurt when she knew Blake didn't love her.

Cora nodded, smililng sheepishly.

"Yeah, could you help me uhm...put up my hair somehow?" She asked quietly. She didn't know how.

Ashlyn frowned.

"What do you mean?" She asked, standing up and blocking the doorway. "Why do you want to leave all of a sudden? What's wrong?"

Andrea had her hair down and was wearing a light blue dress that went down to her ankles. She was still in heaven, in no hurry to get to her son's wedding. She didn't seem to care much.

Ava soon set her book down, and looked down at her dress. She was wearing her dark blue dress, the one she had worn the day she had died, the day she had come here. She even had her hair up, which was unusual for her. But she wasn't sure if she should go all the same. She heard Blake talking upstairs, but made no move to get up.

Lenora soon stood up. She couldn't take this anymore. It was then that her father decided to appear.

"Let me help," He said before she could yell at him to leave.

"There's nothing to help. I'm going back to heaven for a while. James doesn't need me right now," She said, her voice soft and sad. He sighed.

"Come on. We're going to get him back. I know you don't love me, don't even like me, but that doesn't stop me from loving you," He said. She said nothing.

Sable soon stood up, leaving Raven sitting in the grass again. She had refused to eat as well, only finally eating an apple when Sable forced her to a few days ago. He didin't understand. He didn't know what to do. He was falling apart.

Robert was sitting on some rocks, invisible, looking down the beach at where people were gathering. Not just humans, but demons and angels too. He hadn’t been invited to the wedding, he didn’t expect to be. Even if he had been, it would be too painful to go. He wouldn’t be able to watch Cora marry someone else, not after she had already promised him her hand once. That was so long ago, and even through Cora got over him, he couldn’t, he just couldn’t stop loving her. He suddenly felt like crying, but it wasn’t something he would do, so his cheeks remained dry.

He took a deep breath, and closed his eyes. On the outside he looked perfectly clam, but in side was a different story. He couldn’t seem to get his mind clam, it raging with all kinds of different emotions; hate, love, sadness, mostly sadness. He loved Cora, hated Carlisle, and hated himself. He had come to understand this was his fault. There had been so many things he could have done or not have done that would have stopped this from happening. He had made so many mistakes, he did so many things he regretted.

‘I shouldn’t have let her kiss me, when we both knew it was wrong. I thought she was brave for going against the rules of our people, just to show me that she loved me. I shouldn’t have kissed her back, it had only made me love her more. Better yet, I should have never fallen in love with her, look what she is doing to me now. I shouldn’t have asked her to marry me, this would hurt a lot less if I haven’t done that. I should of have told her to stop swimming when I saw her, then she wouldn’t have been put to death. Then maybe we would of have married, and this wouldn’t be happening. I shouldn’t have killed Blake. If I didn’t she wouldn’t hate me. If I didn’t kill him I could have become an angel too and be with her, and she would still love me, and she wouldn’t be marring him.’ He had so many regrets, but he just kept thinking. ‘Blake. Why did I kill him? Because I wanted to marry Cora. I loved, I love her so much. And I couldn’t of have married her if Blake was still alive; he wouldn’t of allowed it. He had every right to pick who she would marry, because he was the head of the family.’ He was wallowing in self pity.

Then something occurred to him.

Blake may not be able to stop this marriage because he was no longer had the power of being head of the family, but he could stop it just because he has the power to do so. It would be easy for Blake, all he had to do was tell Carlisle not to marry his sister, and he would have no choice but not to marry her. So why didn’t Blake do that? He didn’t like Carlisle any more then he liked him, right?

‘Maybe Blake is just to stupid to think of that.’ He thought bitterly, finally opening his eyes. He sighed. Then he remembered the vial in his pocket. He winced, he couldn’t believe he what he was going to do. It made him hate himself so much more. Would he really kill Cora? Could he? Did hate this so much, that he would be willing to kill the only girl he ever loved?

He stood up, and put his hand in his pocket, and felt the vial with his fingertips. His blood was now poisonous to humans. In this little vial was his blood. It had just enough blood to kill Cora within 10 seconds, it would be the longest 10 seconds for him, ever. And somehow he knew those 10 seconds would to result in Cora hating him ever so much more.

He fell on his knees in the sand. He buried his face in his hands, and for a moment he thought he would cry. But it was a thing he would do, so once again his cheeks remained dry. Once again he remembered all the mistakes he had made, killing Cora would just be another one. He couldn’t believe it had even crossed his mind, he hated himself for even having that thought. It had hurt himself so much to see her die the first time, and now he was thinking about killing her himself. All because he couldn’t except that she was going to marry someone else.

Suddenly Blake was standing next Ava. "Please come." He said. "Please I think I might snap. And that wouldn't be good for Cora's wedding. Please." He said.

"I need to go." He said in between breaths. His lungs felt likje they were ful of water. "I can't st-" He suddenly fainted.

"He's dieing." Felix whispbered in her ear. Only his vioce could be heard by her.

Tyler tried not to notice how pretty she looked, he failed. He suddenly disappered, reappering on the beach. His saddness still in his eyes.

Jade was cring again.

"Your fault." Ruby whispbered.

"How?" She asked.

"It just is, you always been a bad little sister." Zinc added.

James stepped in quietly.

Sally sighed. "Fine, pick a dress out that you like", she said picking up the dress she had thrown to Layla and put it back.

Layla nodded and looked through the dresses and found a dress she actualy like, it was black with white flowers going down the side. She picked it up.

sally led Layla to a room to change into the dress. When Layla came back out Sally smiled. "You look nice in that dress", she said and walked behind Layla. "Here let me fix your hair", she said.

Layla didn't want her to fix her hair but nodded anyway. "Alright...", she said standing still for her.

Sally fixed Layla's hair to where it looked prettier that how she had had it in a bun. "There" she said smiling. "lets go", she said and grabbed Layla's wrist again and appeared at the beach again.

"Nice seeing you again, Marlys" Carlisle said with a smile.

"Not my forte but give me two seconds and I can get you some help." Ashley said. She whipped out her phone and called Rose.

"Hello?" Rose answered, "I'll be right there." she said before hanging up. "If you'll excuse me I have to help the bride fix her hair." she said to them before disappearing and reappearing outside the bathroom. "Here to help, as usual" she said with a smile.

"As is seeing you again." Marlys said, looking around, m,aking it obvious she was looking for someone, most likely her husband.

"Can I help you find someone?" Carlisle asked, wondering who she was looking for.

Marlys smiled at him. "No, thank you. I don't think he would arrive early anyway." She said.

"Oh." Carlisle mumbled "Oh, I nearly forgot! Thank you for helping Rose with these final details." He said with a smile "It turned out great." he committed it to memory to thank Rose when he saw her later.

Marlys smiled. "It's fine."

Suddenly a little eight year girl ran up to him, giveing him a hug. She already looked at him like a family member. "Hi, hi! Carly," She culdn't quite say his name. "Were's Cora!?"

She was wearing a dark blue, almost black dress, that made her hot pink hair pop even more, and she was wearing dark sun glasses that hid her ever changeing eye color.

Layla stayed quiet listening to the others talk.

Kira sat next to her looking around.

Sally was still standing next to Layla. she smiled when she saw Tally.
