The big city.

Ava shrugged. "I don't know," she said quietly. "I thought I saw him, but.....it was probably just my imagination."

Ashlyn sighed in annoyance and closed her window. It was midday. She turned on the TV, trying to clear her mind.

"What are you talking about?" Melanie asked quietly, looking at him, pulled out of her thoughts.

"I told you to stop sighing." Warren said.

Blake said nothing, looking down.

"You get me if you think you see him again, ok?" He said finally.

Ashlyn's watch read 3 pm. Time went by faster than she had thought. How long had she been out?

She turned off the TV and lay back on her bed, closing her eyes.

Ava finally nodded, but it was obvious she was lying. She didn't want to worry him; it was probably all in her head, anyways. But she was scared; so scared.

"Oh, yeah," Melanie said quietly. "Sorry," she said, looking away.

Blake looke furstrated. "Av, please. I'll worry more if you don't."

Warren laughed.

It amazed Melanie how he could laugh in his position. She still felt so guilty about his even being here, yet he could laugh? She looked up at him, blinking incredulously.

Ava just nodded again, but she was still lying. She wished she were a better liar.

"What's wrong?" Warren asked.

Blake sighed, ad laid his head backon her lap. He yawned slightly. "It's all I ask."

"Nothing," Melanie lied quickly, shaking her head. "Nothing."

Ava nodded. She absentmindedly took his hand in hers, intertwining their fingers, yet not speaking. She looked lost in thought.

Raven was back in heaven by now, trying to dry her tears. She wouldn't go look for Sable. He obviously didn't want to see her.

Melody saw her, and tried to ask what was wrong, but Raven just kept walking.

Carlisle went outside and leaned against a post on the porch, he put the cigarette to his mouth. It was still unlit but the lighter was in his other hand. "Cora..." he muttered as he looked out on to the street.

Jade was sitting in heaven. All alone. Still felt bad, she was still avoiding Sable.

Warren quickly pressed his lips to hers, and pulled back before she could kiss him back.

Blke closed his eyes, and looked asleep.

Ava thought he was asleep, and felt tears coming to her eyes. She sniffled and tried to hold them back, but couldn't.

Melanie looked at him, and was about to kiss him back when he pulled away.

"Are you teasing me?" She asked quietly, smiling slightly at him.

Raven saw Jade, and was tempted to ask where Sable was, but shook it off and kept walking. She just wanted to be alone.

Blake opened his eyes. "Av."

"I don't know, you tell me." He said and did it again.

Ava jumped when she heard his voice. She quickly wiped the tears away. "Yes?" She asked quietly. "I'm sorry, I thought you were asleep," she whispered.

Melanie laughed lightly. "I think you are," she mumbled, and did the same thing to him.

Warren laughed, and wrapped his arms around her waist. "I love you." He whispbered.

Blake sat up, and helpped her wip away her tears.

"I still don't understand," Melanie whispered. "How you can, after what I did to you."

Ava shook her head. "I'm fine," She said quietly. "Really." But the tears in her eyes didn't say so.

"Please, no more lies." Blake said.

Warren did something rare. he sighed. "If I killed 100 men, would you still love me?" He repeated from the first time he had seen her in over 100 years. "No. Better yet, If I did this to you. Would you still love me?"

"Yes, but it's my fault you're here!" Melanie protested. "You should still be an angel, but now you're here!"

"I'm scared," Ava whispered. Before she had met him, she would never have let anyone see her this way. So scared and vulnerable. "He's going to come back. I just know it."

Warren stepped back, and looked down. He sighed.

"Do you want me to hate you?" He asked looking up at her.

Clake looked at her. "I won't let him near you."

"No!" Melanie said quickly. "No, I don't, but in all honesty....you should, "She said quietly. "Why don't you?"

"He'll find a way," Ava said, shaking her head. "He's different now, Blake," she said quietly. "He doesn't care if he hurts me anymore."

"It doesn't matter." He said. "Drop it. You don't want me to hate you, and I don't. Leave it alone."

Blake said nothing.

Melanie flinched and nodded, looking away.

Ava was crying again now, burying her face in her hands as her shoulders shook.

Blake wrapped his arms around her.

Warren tried to smile, but he couln't. How odd.

Carlisle finally gave in, he lit the cigartte and blew smoke into the air. He felt ashamed but couldn't think of anything else.

Ava wanted to be strong. She hated tears, and she was always told by her father that they were a sign of weakness. But right now, she couldn't make them stop.

Melanie shook her head. "Forget I said anything, please," She said, trying to smile at him. "Please."

Warren nodded. Suddenly his arms were wraped around her again. "You know what? I was having fun, and you had to ruin it."

Blake said nothing.

Melanie smiled slightly. "Sorry," She said quietly, hugging him back.

Ava soon let go, and stood up. "I think I need some fresh air," she said quietly.
