Laurinda quickly shook her head.

"No, no, I'll take the couch," She said quickly.

Raven glared at him, then turned and walked away.

Aden smiled. "Never trust a polition." He reminded her, and disappered.

---NEXT MORNING---
Lenora was sitting outside again, trying not to think. She had her notebook in front of her, and she was working on the drawing that she had let no one see. It was of her father.

Why did she keep thinking of him? She wanted to hate him, to forget him like she had her entire life. But she couldn't, and it was killing her.

Raven was sitting under the crow tree in heaven, wishing Sable would come visit her. She felt lonely.

Sable was in the park. He had fallen asleep there.
~!!~
Ashlyn was sitting on her bed with a bowl of cereal, attempting to ignore the demon sitting next to her. It wasn't going so well.

Ivy still couldn't not think of Josh. She didn't know why, but her human emotions were coming back. It was impossible; she could not feel anything for the man she had killed and tortured, but she did. SHe knew that.

Brianna was watching TV. It was early morning, but she had been unable to sleep.

Cora was still asleep.

Hymn had fallen asleep in Chris' cave while looking at his drawings once more.

Laurinda had taken a shower the night before, and had 'borrowed' some of Blake's clothes, provided by Ava. She was still asleep on the couch downstairs, and it was early morning. She had planned to leave the night before aftert he others were asleep, but she had fallen asleep as well.

Ava was still asleep as well; she was exhausted, and every moment worried that Nick would show up once more.

Dust sat next to her, looking the other way.

Jade looked at Sable, and sighed, disappearing.

Mason had stopped talking.

Josh appeared again. He did not look at Ivy, instead he hugged Aline.

Chris staied quiet, wacthing her sleep.

Ivy was getting sick of this. He could at least tell her straight up if he was ignoring her.

Brianna smiled at Josh, then looked back at the TV.

Soon, Lenora pushed her drawing pad away and buried her head in her hands.

Sable woke up a few minutes later, and wondered where Jade was.

Raven didn't move from her spot underneath the crow tree.

Hymn didn't wake up.

Ashlyn was glad Mason had stopped talking, and she was now almost positive that he wasn't real.

Josh glanced at Ivy, then looked away.

Jade was looking for Dawn.

Mason looked sad.

Chris was playing with her hair.

"What's wrong?" Dust asked.

Ashlyn didn't even seem to notice that Mason was there anymore.

Raven looked up and saw Jade, but didn't make a move towards her or say a word.

Ivy held her gaze on him.

"It's nothing," Lenora lied quietly.

Laurinda woke up by falling off the couch.

Hymn woke up a few moments later, blinking hazily up at Chris.

Mason felt invisabe. She didn't want him here. Maybe he sould leave . . .

Jade didn't see Raven. "Dawn!"

Josh could fell her stareing at him, but he didn't look back. But suddenly it became to much. He disappeared, and reappeared in the underworld.

Lance was eatting oatmeal.

"Hello, sleepy head." He mused.

Ashlyn looked over at Mason, blinking but saying nothing.

"Go away," She mumbled, burying her face in her pillow. She didn't want to see him anymore; it made her think of the real Mason too much. "You're not real."

It was then that she heard a knock at the door. Frowning, she walked to answer it.

Hymn sat up quickly, almost hitting her head against his.

"How long have you been watching me?" SHe asked quickly.

Ivy yelled at herself, but did it anyways. She followed him.

"Josh!" She called, chasing after him in the underworld.

Laurinda's eyes widened as she realized that she had fallen asleep. She grabbed the bag by her feet and smoothed down her mess of a hair before standing up, heading for the door.

"You don't want to eat?" Lance called.

"A while." Chris said.

Josh truned around. "What?"

Mason sighed.

"What's your problem?" Ivy demanded. "A week ago you wouldn't leave me alone, and now you avoid me like the plauge!"

Hymn's cheeks flushed red and she quickly looked away.

It was her father's friend at the door. She didn't mind him, though she had to wonder why he hung out with her father.

"Is he home?" He asked. Ashlyn shook her head.

Laurinda froze with her hand on the doorknob. She did, but she also wanted to leave.

She slowly turned around and poked her head in the kitchen.

"Eat what ever you want." Lance said.

Mason stood up and walked up behind her, forgetting to go invisable.

Chris smiled. "I thought you looked . . . Cute."

Josh frowned. "You don't want to see me, so I'm staying away."

Ivy hesistated. She didn't know what to say.

"But....what if I don't?" She finally asked.

Laurinda just nodded and made herself a bowl of cereal. She ate slower this time, and looked up at him occasionally. She still hadn't forgotten what she had seen or what he had seen of each other's pasts.

"Who's your friend?" The man asked. Ashlyn turned and saw Mason.

"You see him?" She whispered. He frowned and nodded slowly.

"Hey, wait---" he began, but Ashlyn had slammed the door in his face.

This only made Hymn's cheeks turn an even brighter red.

Chris leaned down and kissed her on the forehead.

Lance ate quietly. "What?" He asked when she kept looking at him.

"Don't be silly." Josh said. "You been telling me for how many years to get lost? I got the point."

Mason gave her a sad look.

Hymn smiled lightly at him.

"Why are you helping me?" Laurinda asked suddenly.

Ivy grew angry, then quickly calmed down.

"Fine then," She said quietly. "But I think I----" she didn't finish.

Ashlyn turned to look at him, and saw him looking sad. She opened her mouth to speak, but no words came out. All this time, it had really been him. He had been the one to stop her from kiling herself, twice. And she had been so mean to him. She had killed him, and then been mean to him when he came back.

She didn't know if she could take him being here.

"Go away, "She snapped, before she could stop herself. "Go! I don't want you here!!"

"No," Mason said. "You need me here."

Chris smiled back.

Josh made her look at him. "You what?"

"Being nice is my fatal flaw." Lance said. "I want to help you."

"No I don't," Ashlyn protested. She turned and walked into her room, slamming and locking the door behind her.

"But why?" Laurinda asked.

"I....." Ivy started, but soon found herself staring at him. "I like you. I think......"

Hymn stood up.

"Do I need a reason?" Lance asked.

Mason appeared next to her in her room.

Josh smiled slightly. "What took you so long?"

Laurinda stood up suddenly.

"Yes," She said. "No one in this world does nice things 'just because'," She said. "THey all have a reason! So what's yours?" She deamanded.

Ashlyn jumped, and turned to him.

"I killed you!" She suddenly shouted. "I killed you, and you're going to say here and help me?!"

"I don't.....know...." Ivy mumbled. "Human emotions....don't make sense to me. I've been dead for so long."

Lance looked ticked. "I did it because I wanted to! I have no reason! I don't need a reason. Not everyone is like your uncle!" He yelled.

"You didn't kill me! I had cancer, heart problems, diabetes, and half a millon other things wrong with me!" He said slowly.

Josh let go of her chin. And smiled.

Laurinda flinched, and grabbed her backpack from her feet and stormed out of the kitchen and towards the front door.

"I should have made you take your medicine!" Ashlyn yelled. "I should have sent you home!! It's my fault!!"

Ivy looked at him.

"It made me feel strange when you ignored me," She said slowly. "Like I wanted you to look at me, talk to me. I think that's what it was......" She obviously wasn't used to feeling much.

"I was taking my medacine, I started taking them a few weeks before I died. If you sent me home, how would you hva e known if I lived past the night. I'm sure father would love to have killed me." Mason said.

Lance frowned. "I'm sorry." He called. "Please come back if you need anything."

Josh smiled.

"I'm uhm.....sorry," Ivy mumbled.

Ashlyn just looked at him. She didn't know what to say.

A few moments later, she hesitantly reached out a hand and touched his arm. He felt real....but she still wasn't sure.

Laurinda ignored him and stormed outside. She was back to being on her on, it seemed. She walked down to the sidewalk and headed back towards the city, ignoring the throbbing pain in her stomach and arms.

"For what?" Josh asked.

Mason looked at her sadly.

Lance sighed.

Laurinda frowned; her forehead felt strangely warm. It had since last night, but she hadn't said anything about it. She continued to walk, but soon it became worse, and the world started spinning around her.

"Being so mean to you," Ivy mumbled.

Ashlyn pulled her hand back, then hesitantly reached up and placed a hand on his cheek. He was real. He had to be. She couldn't be imagining this....could she?
